RATIONALE

:

Republic Act. 10932 provides that baranggay and sangguniang kabataan elections on October 31,2016 shall be postponed to the fourth Monday of October 2017 . Although the COMELEC has allocated budget for the conduct of said election,still, it is necessary to set aside form the 10% SK Fund barangay counterpart/share for incidental expenses. Similarly, after the conduct of the Sk election, the Sk chairmen will be having their orientation and federation election, hence this activity design. OBJECTIVES : a. To provide barangay share for the conduct of Sk Election b. To allocate budget for the conduct of Sk Federation election DATE OF ACTIVITY:

October 23,2017 and December 10,2017

RATIONALE

:

The Local Government Code of 1991, also known as Republic Act 7160 mandates barangays to maintain general hygiene and sanitation as well as beautification of communities. Likewise, Republic Act 9003, of the Solid Waste Management Act of 2000 vested in the barangays the duty of proper management and disposal of their garbage. The present environmental condition, however, demands not mere compliance from existing laws and policies but more importantly, the preservation and protection of what’s left in our environment, hence this activity design. To conduct clean-up drive in all sitios of Barangay Domalandan Center Lingayen, Pangasinan To establish barangay nursery in Domalandan Center,Lingayen,Pangasinan To plant fruit-bearing trees in identified areas in the barangay. To conduct information education campaign on solid wastes management starting in the households.

:

Recent reports and studies reveal increasing rate of teenage pregnancies and pre-marital sex due to increased and unsupervised media exposure particularly internet. Teenagers are particularly vulnerable age groups due to various factors such as peer influence, media exposure, curiosity and others. Hence, the need to conduct massive advocacy and information campaign. OBJECTIVES

RATIONALE

:

Recent reports and studies reveal increasing rate of teenagers who are victims of drug abuse Teenagers are particularly vulnerable age groups due to various factors such as peer influence, media exposure, curiosity and others. RA 9344 exempting children 15 years old and below from criminal liability seemed to aggravate the situation since these children are being exploited for illegal activities. Hence, in order to protect the youth who are the “hope of the future” against the ill-effects of drug addiction, there is need to intensify ant-drug abuse program in the barangay. OBJECTIVES

:

a. To conduct advocacy/information campaign against drug abuse. b. To print and distribute anti-drug abuse flyers/materials.

Proper nutrition plays a vital role in the total development of children. A malnourished child will not be able perform well in school and is incapable of achieving his/her full potential. Unfortunately, although nutritious foods need not be expensive and can be readily available at the backyard garden, a significant number of children in the barangay are either moderately or severely malnourished. Hence, there is a need to supplement the feeding program being implemented by the barangay. OBJECTIVES

Education is important to improve one’s living standard. Although primary and secondary education is free in the Philippines, a significant number of children are not able to graduate from either elementary and high school. Unfortunately, those who are able to finish high school, are not able to pursue either vocational or degree courses due to poverty and financial reasons. It is therefore important to provide all forms of assistance to enable the poor but deserving students the opportunity to achieve their full potentials even though alternative means., hence this proposal. OBJECTIVES

It also serves as a worthwhile diversion from both vices and drugs which could destroy them and their loved ones, hence this activity design. OBJECTIVES

Barangays being the frontliners in community mobilization play an important role in DRRM. Disaster preparedness is everybody’s business hence, the people should be empowered through advocacy , information campaign and drills. OBJECTIVES

Peace and order is important in a developing barangay so that its residents can live comfortably without fear for their security. Street lighting program is vital in ensuring that criminal elements are not given the opportunity to commit any offensive activities in the barangay. Unfortunately, installation of street lights require a large amount of money and if these will be shouldered by the 10% SK Fund, other programs and project responsive to the needs of the youth might be compromised. Hence, in coordination with the Barangay Government, the Task Force is willing to assist in the maintenance of these street lights. OBJECTIVES
