4.0 PRODUCT OR SERVICE DESCRIPTION (ME) (2.1)The product of SONIC Company would like to produce the Pen Shape Boiler. The Pen Shape Boiler is unique, compact design and portable. The function of this portable pen boiler are heating the water which is as same as normal electrical appliances do. Its load capacity is about 0.5kg and its dimension is 15cm x 1.5cm. It is surprisingly effective despite their small size. Though it average a little less than half the load capacity of regular-sized electrical appliances, this portable pen boiler will heat the water just as a normal electrical appliances . Plus, this portable pen boiler suitable for travelers, tourists, university students and lecturer where it is easily can be carry away anytime. Then, the product can save time, mini-sized and pocketable. The smaller load sizes equals less water and detergent used which its meaning can save money. If we live in the apartment or small house that not have enough space for home appliances such as washing machine, we need to go to laundromat (self-service laundry shop) to wash our clothes that maybe can waste our time and energy for others important thing to do. So, this portable washing machine can solve our problem in addition to save our time and energy. It also can be washing simultaneously and operates in low noise (less than 60dB) and smooth. (2.3)Then, pen shape boiler used lithium battery where this battery will not rust and needs to be charged around 2 to 3 hours to make the pen shape boiler fully-charged. This product is made of lithium battery because the lithium batteries can provide up to ten times longer life than lead-acid batteries and does not need to be maintained in term of their longevity. It is also available in three colors which are blue, red and purple. It may not come in flashy colors, but the product featured design properties is unique such as wireless, have chipset where the functions of chipset is to trigger off the button when the temperature of water has reached 100° Celcius and have top dusk cap where it prevent the individual from touching the heating metal accidentally. (2.4)The present state of development of pen shape boiler is …..In order to complete create the pen shape boiler, it requires at least 8 hours to restructured the product design so that it can captures people attention. The money that used to build pen shape boiler is approximately RM600( 8+17+17+350+200) and to test the product to function we required RM200. Top Dusk Cap function is to cover the heating metal from the dusk when it is carried anywhere. Top dusk cap used low density polyethylene material because it has excellent chemical resistance and does not dissolve at room temperature due to their crystallinity.

Heating coils are used to convert from electrical energy to heat energy and transfer the energy through this device to water. Copper heating coils are useful to this device because copper oxidizes over a time to form a green patina which actually protects the metal from further corrosion. Furthermore, the switch button has two system where to switch on the device, it need to double tap on the button and to switch off the button, it need to pressed the button a long time until the lights turn off. The function chipset is triggered off button when the temperature of water reached 100° Celcius. The battery is form of lithium and needed around two to three hours to make the pen shape boiler fully-charged. Otherwise, the proprietary charger slot has water resistance properties where the device is protected from ingress of water. (2.5) Besides that, the pen shape boiler also used the proprietary charger slot where it is water resistance. Pen shape boiler has water resistance requirement where the interior design is sealed with sticky, rubbery glue substances to create airtight seal where the functions of this airtight seal would not allow water penetrating the pen shape boiler. (2.6) Opportunities for the expansion of this product line is we added another system such as system in pen shape boiler to make the drink become cold. In order to turn the make the drink becomes cold, it need an carbon dioxide gas where the carbon dioxide gas is first needs to be cooled and pressurized to turn it into a liquid. The liquid is then depressurized and allowed to expand back into gas. This expansion causes a rapid temperature drop and thus turn it into cold gas.

5.0 TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION (ME) Nowadays, when we go out to market to buy any appliance, we have no idea on what type of appliance that we should buy in order to fits our need and efficient to us. Finding the right one may be challenging since we want the best appliance to make us feel easy and save our time. Washing machines are no different. For more than six decades, there has been little innovation in domestic laundry. From year to year, there have been at best, marginal increases in the effiency of laundry systems. Therefore, with the goal of placing a ’washing machine in every household’ we have develop a new technology called Mini Portable Washing Machine and Dryer in which it is easy, fast and safe to be used. The Mini Portable Washing Machine and Dryer is Automatic washing machine in which the machine not only washes the clothes but also extracts most water out of it after washing. This machine equipped with dryer with sensor dry-automatically turns off when your clothes are dry. The operation is simple and the machine lid with handle for easy open. The power consumption is only 135-200W and the energy used is less. This is top – loading design or vertica-axis clothes washer. The clothes are place in a vertically mounted perforated basket that is contained within a water-retaining tub, with a finned water-pumping agitator in the center of the bottom of the basket. Clothes are loaded through the top of machine which is covered with a hinged door. We used alternating current motor because AC motor work with a slightly different way: they pass alternating current through opposing pairs of magnet to create a rotating magnetic field, which “induces” (creates) a magnetic field in the motor’s rotor, causing it to spin around. Compared to DC, AC has ability to efficiently distribute power at low voltages. It is important in developing technology we use low voltage value because we can cut cost and make it more efficient to use since it is portable. The washing machine made of high quality engineering plastics, not easy to change type and light in weight. Plastic possess very good strength and toughness. Also good shock absorption capacity. They also have low thermal expansion of coefficient and posses good thermal and electrical insulating property.
