CUPCAKE TOP Use white colored yarn.

R1: In MR, sc 6. (6 sts) R2: Inc around. (12 sts) R3: (Sc, inc) x 6. (18 sts) R4: (Sc 2, inc) x 6. (24 sts) R5: (Sc 3, inc) x 6. (30 sts) R6: (Sc 4, inc) x 6. (36 sts) R7: (Sc 5, inc) x 6. (42 sts) R8-R12: Sc around. (42 sts) R13: In FLO, (insert 3 sc in first st, insert 2 sc in next st) around.

CUPCAKE BOTTOM Use brown colored yarn. R1: In MR, sc 6. (6 sts) R2: Inc around. (12 sts) R3: (Sc, inc) x 6. (18 sts) R4: (Sc 2, inc) x 6. (24 sts) R5: (Sc 3, inc) x 6. (30 sts) R6: (Sc 4, inc) x 6. (36 sts) R7: In BLO, sc around. (36 sts) R8: Sc around. (36 sts) R9: (Sc 17, inc) x 2. (38 sts) R10: (Sc 18, inc) x 2. (40 sts) R11: (Sc 19, inc) x 2. (42 sts)

FROSTING Use light pink colored yarn. R1: In MR, ch 2, dc 12. *Join with a sl st to the first dc. (12 sts) R2: Ch 2, dc-inc around. *Join. (24 sts) R3: Ch 2, (insert 4 dc in first st, sl st in next st) around.

Fasten off with a long tail for sewing later.

STRAWBERRY Use dark pink colored yarn. R1: In MR, sc 6. (6 sts) R2: Inc around. (12 sts) R3: Sc around. (12 sts) R4: (Sc 2, dec) x 3. (9 sts) R5: (Sc, dec) x 3. (6 sts) Stuff the berry lightly. R6: Dec 3. (3 sts) Fasten off with a long tail for sewing later.

LEAF Use green colored yarn. R1: In MR, (ch 2, dc, ch 2, sl st) x 5. Pull ring tight. Fasten off with a long tail for sewing later.

~ FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS~ 1. Add blush to the ears if desired. Check out my video tutorial for adding blush using blush powder & q-tip! 2. Pinch the bottom of the ears in half to create a crease. Sew them onto the frosting. 3. Sew the strawberry to the leaf. Then, sew the leaf to the frosting. 4. Sew the frosting to the top half of the cupcake. Also insert 10mm plastic safety eyes (I put mine between R9-R10, 9 sts apart.) 5. Cut out a circle of cardboard that would fit in the base of the bottom half. This will provide rigidity and allow your cupcake to stand better. 6. Sew the bottom and top halves together, using the yarn tail from the bottom half to go into the unworked back loops of R13 in the top half. Make sure you stuff the cupcake firmly before stitching it up completely.
