Chakra A chakra is a center of life force energy; a connection between your body and your spirit. Generally, they are described as wheels stacked in a column of energy that spans from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. The word chakra literally translates from Sanskrit as "wheel" or "turning". So, the word chakra refers to spinning spheres of bio‐energetic or bio‐electrical activity emanating from the major nerve ganglia branching forward from the spinal column. These seven energy centers, or “data banks”, are an archetypal depiction of your individual maturation through seven distinct phases. These are the energy centers that store your memories, thoughts, attitudes, and beliefs.
