Adanan The article illustrate the benefits we can derive from having democracy. The author is so enthusiastic to explain how importance democracy in certain country because democracy is a system of government in which power is vested in the people, who rule either directly or through freely elected representatives Firstly, democracy gives a benefit in country which can elect their representatives with ownself. At the same time, in western view, democracy is dangerous because tyrannical and threatening liberty can occurs and they also argued that the government should not be taken away from the people. On the other point that I can agree is there is need to control the degree of democracy in political governance so that the power cannot abuse by government. Next, democracy also accords people an added advantages as it incorporates their ideas into the system of governance. It is because people can interfere in government structure to choose their leader. So, from above view, majority of members or citizen can pass rules and laws, which suit with them. I am also agree with the author that the judgement is important to decide the laws. On the other hand judgement also must have their reason and the evidence must sensible. Moreover, democracy is balance in giving power because democracy has three branches which is executive, legislative and also judiciary. Each branches has their limits to determine the law. The role of the branches is making, executing and administering of laws and policies. This is we called separation of power. At the same time, when too much democracy it will be possible danger in our country because they can make mistake in wrong choices. The danger is occurs when majority of the common people are not familiar with political issues. After that is when making wrong decision during elections. We also agreed with the author saying that changing the constitution requires agreement of majority of the representatives. Other point is, the constitution can be changed is through a referendum. Referendum can allow everybody in the country is entitled to give opinions regarding the proposed changes. Finally is, limitation of democracy is that minorities and majorities can take dinstinctly shape on diverse matters. The an individuals must agree with the viewpoints of the majority on some other issues. In addition, this kind situation can changed depend on circumstances. ( 389 words )
