What is an Enquiry q A question you ask T24 about the data it has stored q They allow the user to select and extract information from one or many T24 applications

Use of Enquiries in T24 q To produce reports for customers and for the bank itself q The easiest way to extract and view the data that is stored in T24 q Displaying results as pie and bar charts q Data can be sorted using Enquiries q Summary reports produced can be drilled down into more detailed reports using Enquiries q To create complex report with totals and sub totals q Results can be exported into Excel

Simple Enquiry – Execution q To execute and enquiry, use this ENQUIRY.SELECT <enquiry name> NONE
Points to remember q Use abbreviation ENQ instead of ENQUIRY.SELECT q The key word NONE, when used, will not bring up a selection criteria box for the user. The Enquiry is executed directly.

Introducing Headings in an Enquiry
Syntax is @(Col,Row) Text Thus the enquiry will have two lines as heading
Text entered here will appear as column headings instead of what is entered in FIELD NAME

Execution of the Enquiry – With Headings These are defined in the HEADER field
Since we defined the FIELD LBL for only the first field, it appears as the column header. Note that all others have the Field Name as the column header

Selection Criteria – Simple Conditions
The main selection criteria is specified here. Other conditions work on the records selected by this condition only. Smaller selections can be Mentioned based on values that are held in fields of the application. These can be made Mandatory if required.
