•Explains how to optimize the energy systems for safe and improved performance; •Explains relationship of health behaviors; •Describe the role of physical activity assessment in managing one’s stress Self assesses health-related fitness (HRF) status, barriers to physical activity •assessment participation;

•Sets FITT goals base on training principles to achieve and/or maintain HRF; •Engage in moderate to vigor physical activities. analyzes physiological indicators, observe personal safety

• Analyzes physiological indicators such as heart rate, rate of perceived exertion and pacing associated with MVPAs to monitor and /or adjust participation of effort; • Observe personal safety protocol to void hydration, overexertion, hypo-and-hyperthermia during MVPA participation;

• Identifies school and community resources in case of injury or emergency; • Recognizes the value of optimizing one’s health through participation in physical activity • assessments; Displays initiative, responsibility and leadership in recreational activities;

• Recognizes one’s potential for health-and recreation-related career opportunities; • most especially this course will discuss the nature of different recreational activities, • demonstrate proper etiquette and safety in the use of facilities and equipment and learn to • organize recreational event for a target health issue or concern. Recreational, from the term recreation, it is an activity done for enjoyment when one is not working. Recreational means, relating or denoting activity done for enjoyment when one is not working. It refers to the time spent in an activity one loves to engage in, with intent to feel refreshed.

Recreational activities help you to take a break from monotony and diversion from the daily routine. It gives people the benefit of a positive change from the stereotypical lifestyle and involves an active participation in entertaining activities that one is interested in. When one does engage in recreating activities that he or she likes, it would naturally give them enjoyment. Recreational activities provides source of joy and relaxation to one’s mind and body.

Recreational activities could also help you develop your leadership skills as well as interpersonal skills. As certain recreational activities need a lot of members, someone should be able to lead and guide through the course of game. And since there are a lot of members, each should be able to communicate with each other. Mountaineering, or mountain climbing, is the sport of reaching, or trying to reach, high points in mountainous areas, mainly for the joy and thrill of the climb. This sport involves intense physical activity involve with the activity of walking long distances especially across country or traversing mountain ranges thru the help of trail signs.

Orienteering is a recreational outdoor activity in which learners find their way to various checkpoints across rough country with the aid of a map and compass, while camping is an outdoor activity living in a campsite.

Aquatics is a recreational outdoor sports that involve bodies of water.

Itineraries

•Rising to 2582 MASL in Mindoro island just south of Luzon, Mt. Halcon is one of the majestic mountains – and best hiking destinations – in the Philippines, featuring long, often steep trails through dense jungle, crystal-clear waters from its rivers, as well as a magnificent ultramafic summit. Halcon’s biological profile is equally prestigious, being home to a lot of endemic flora and fauna.

•1. It is possible to compress Day 0-1 into one long day that begins at midnight in Batangas Pier, then take an early morning trip to Calapan. Moreover, if permits are arranged beforehand it is possible to skip Day 0 entirely •2. It is possible to compress Day 3-4 into one long day of descent if you start early from the summit with possibility of night-trekking.

•3. The choice of trail will be determined by the tourism office as per the latest updates (2015). Hike during the weekdays for more choices.
