Principio GPON—Multiplexación de Datos El sistema GPON usa tecnología WDM(Division por multiplexación de longitude de onda), logrando transmission bidireccional en un solo hilo de fibra. 1490nm

1310nm La manera de separar multiples usuarios en la misma direccion de la fibra y señales que van y vienen es a travéz del uso de dos multiplexaciones: Downstream (Bajada) usa tecnología de broadcast;

Upstream (Subida) usa tecnología TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access ).

FIBRAS OPTICAS MONOMODO RECOMENDACION ITU-T G.652 

La especificación UIT-T G.652 corresponde a fibras optimizadas para la transmisión en las longitudes de onda de 1310 nm a 1550 nm, incluida la región de 1383 nm y de acuerdo a la subcategoría G.652.D

de la ITU-T.



La fibra monomodo G.652D presenta mejoras con relación a otras fibras G.652 ya que muestra baja atenuación entre los 1260 - 1625 nm, presenta dispersión baja favoreciendo la evolución de redes, por tal motivo no es necesario la instalación de compensadores de dispersión.

FIBRAS OPTICAS MONOMODO RECOMENDACION ITU-T G.655 

La propiedad fundamental de estas fibras es que su coeficiente de dispersión cromática es, en valor absoluto, mayor que cero en la gama de longitudes de onda 1530 a 1565 nm. Esta dispersión reduce

la aparición de fenómenos no lineales, que pueden ser particularmente perjudiciales en sistemas DWDM (Multiplexación por división en longitud de onda densa). 

Estas fibras se diseñaron inicialmente para su utilización en la gama de longitudes de onda comprendidas entre 1530 nm y 1565 nm. Se han añadido disposiciones para soportar la transmisión con longitudes de onda superiores, hasta 1625 nm, e inferiores, hasta

TIPOS DE PERDIDAS EN FO 

Pérdida por curvatura. – Son las producidas cuando una fibra es doblada con un radio más pequeño que el especificado en las características técnicas. Defectos de fabricación. Procedimiento de instalación. Se denominan micro-curvaturas e influyen en largas distancias (λ 1550nm).

Pérdidas que resultan de la fabricación de la fibra – Irregularidades en el

Sensibilidad de las curvaturas 

Sabemos que normalmente la fibra es de Vidrio, por lo que debemos tener presente que una curva excesiva o dobles muy pronunciado del cable puede romper o quebrar

internamente el hilo de fibra óptica. 

A demás otro problema al curvar exageradamente el cable de F.O. es que cambia las características físicas del mismo,

ya que al deformarlo de esta manera la luz choca en mayor medida con el revestimiento o Cladding por lo que se traduce en un aumento de perdidas de Energía de la señal, es decir,
