Thick carbide and carbon cross sections : Thin cross sections of carbon and carbide parts are very susceptible to premature fracture. Special care was exercised during the design phase to beef up the cross sections for these parts resulting in increased reliability.



Silicon carbide mating rings are held in compression and are protected resulting in increased reliability, especially start-up reliability.



Homogenous carbon designs for the pusher configuration results in no performance variations from cyclical temperatures.



Design eliminates the use of drive pins, drive notches, stress raisers, etc. resulting in increased reliability.

ISC - Features / Benefits • Dual seals are double balanced to provide both pressurized and nonpressurized dual seal options. • Care has been exercised to place the secondary sealing points on I.D. grooves so that Teflon O-rings can be used to reduce the need for perfluoroelastomers and provide lower cost seals. • A unique pumping feature is 50% more effective than conventional standard dual seal pumping features allowing cool operating seals and enhanced MTBF of the seal. • All Alloy C-276 bellows units increase the corrosion resistance of the bellows unit resulting in enhanced reliability of the sealing device.
