ARCHITECTURAL 2019THESIS SYNOPSIS 2020 TENTATIVE TOPIC: 1. Salem IT park.

BROAD TYPOLOGY OF THESIS The idea to design an IT park came up with the image of the city and also how the city serves. This research led to the decision of keeping this as the thesis project. To make a space for the people coming to their offices should not only describe the work that they do but also relief the whole stream of work into something which would not drive them to come to that space.

PHILOSOPHY OF DESIGN AND THEORETICAL BACKGROUND The design philosophy to make function over form. It is much important to apply this philosophy in an office building, because function determine the space. Form also plays a major role in sense of iconic structure and design consideration (climatic factor).

AIM To design an Information park in Salem for maximising human presence in the life of technology by giving authenticity to human movement with flexible spaces and dynamism on the site.

JUSTIFICATION OF THE TOPIC The development of IT sector in Tamil nadu is high in the capital city Chennai (100% urbanized as per cense 2011).to bring the ITSEZ in developing city such as madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Salem and Hosur. Salem is the hotspot to begin the IT sector. Already the city is well developing in textile, cotton export, steel, mango and many infrastructure developments.

To understand the need of office spaces with reference to the sustainable lifestyle. To provide an environment with ample open and recreational spaces in and around the project. To integrate the public and the members of the park to ensure and take care of the surrounding ecosystem.

ARCHITECTURAL 2019THESIS SYNOPSIS 2020 SCOPE OF WORK AND LIMITATIONS The city is heading towards an IT-based development ELCOT and the Government of Tamil Nadu are planning to build an IT park in the salem city which would lift the economy and culture of livehood. The site area of the project is 9 acer. Already a structure with g+2 in constructed and in usage.

METHODOLOGY Keeping in mind the limitations and the difficulties of the major design challenges would likely to be discovering and collecting information about the different types of related projects and the problems pertaining to those spaces which would more likely conclude the design challenge as well as the problems that really needs at most attention.

PROPOSED LOCATION Salem IT SEZ has 164.26 acres of Land with international Eco System on Salem-Bangalore 4 Lane Express Way.

CONCLUSION The infrastructure of the city is developing by future plans such as flyover connection, defense corrider,8-way lane connectivity towards capital, bus port and extension of airport. In all mode of connectivity, the city leading to next level known to be next bottom town of tamilnadu. The city needs a scope of development in technology field so the pending dream project of Salem IT park can see as the base of it. To create an iconic structure, this project can help to people to migrate from different cities in tamilnadu and create their live hood. This also reduce over exploitation of population in a pin pointed area of the state overharvesting, refers to harvesting a renewable resource to the point of diminishing returns.
