INTRODUCTION
A leader is a person who directs the efforts of employees towards the corporate objectives.
Leadership style in an organization is one of the factors
that play significant role in enhancing or retarding the interest and commitment of the individuals in the organization (Obiwuru et al., 2011).
OBJECTIVES
To identify the leadership traits that contributes to employee performance.
To examine significance of leadership styles in the employee performance.
To suggest suitable recommendation based on the study.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Primary data is collected through questionnaire.
Descriptive research design was adopted for this
study.
Simple random sampling is used and the Sample
size used is 80.

The 21st Century leader should set goals, provide directive, inspire and motivate an employee to translate the efforts into higher productivity.
