Brute Force It is based on the Charlie Miller, Classic Force (table version) which is published in one of his many Magicana columns in “Genii Magazine”. Let's start: The card being forced is on the bottom of the deck. (For example, we will use the King of Diamonds.) Hold the deck in your left hand and explain to the audience you are going to spread the cards on the table and whenever they like, they may call stop. Move your dealing hand close to the table and begin to push off the top cards to your right (see photo 1). Take note that the remaining cards in your left hand never touch the table, only the cards that are dealt off. Your right hand waits patiently until the spectator calls stop. When they finally do, pull all the cards below the point where they called stop, out from underneath the top half (see photo 2). As the packs are separated, use both of your second fingers to square the tabled pack (see photo 3). This also brings the force card up and above the tabled half. Once it is square, grab the lower right corner of the pack in your left hand with the right thumb, first, and second finger (see photo 4). Now tilt the packet upward so the bottom card is visible to the audience. This should be your King of Diamonds. Once the card is shown, replace the pack in your hand on top of the pack on the table. This is a very important subtlety because it leaves a picture in everyone’s mind of the force card that was displayed, returning to the center from where it came. The key to this force is the attitude. If you think you are going to get caught, chances are you will. Remember that you are in control of the situation and the audience has no clue where you are going to lead them. Please have confidence. This force will work.
