Mi Ultimo Adios or My Last Farewell was written in Spanish. This poem was believed as Rizal’s last will before he bid goodbye to his fellow Filipinos. Rizal believed that offering his life was the best way he could show his love for the country. Hoping that his death would serve as inspiration to everyone. After listening to this song it really have a big impact on me because the song itself is very sentimental. And base on my own interpretation, the song was trying to tell us that even though Jose Rizal knew he was going to die, he is still not resentful. That even facing death he is still very optimistic. He make death look sweet and serene, because he knew that through his death our country would be soon free from the colonization of the Spaniards. While listening to this song I suddenly felt sad. Because it shows that in order to succeed or achieve on something you always need to sacrifice. Just like what Jose Rizal did. Even though he knew that he will leave his love ones behind, he put it aside because of his undying love for our country.
