TECHNICAL PROPOSAL DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, SUPPLY, ERECTION AND COMMISSIONING OF INDUSTRIAL ELECTRIC STEAM BOILER Date: - 16/01/2020

electric steam boiler and conducting training for the client technical and operation staff. 1. Service requirement compliance The industrial electric fired steam boiler we are going to supply will be designed to be opera table at 1,800m above sea level and climate condition suitable to Bahir Dar city as explained in article 5.1 at the bid document. 2. Manufacturing requirement compliance Our supply covers all components and accessories including not mentioned in bid document but necessary for the industrial electric fired steam boiler, and all materials are in accordance with current engineering & manufacturing practices and according to prevailing trade provisions in general and/or as promoters of safe, effective and efficient function of the units. The materials of which all components and accessories of the equipment are manufactured and assembled are of the current technology durable and reliable for the intended service.

3. Design, supervising, erection, commissioning and training Our scope of supply includes selecting tools and accessories required for the assembly of the boiler plant, installation, all electrical and mechanical tests of the system (commissioning) and our expert will conduct training and all details will have explained. 4. Documentation We will deliver the following documents with the equipment:

 Time Schedule of requirements  CE certificate;

 Technical Compliance Statement, English Technical manual in CD (Soft Copy) and in

two hard (paper printed) copies in English language; including: 

Machine catalogue and Spare part lists with part number;



Electrical and mechanical installation manuals and detail drawings



Machine Programme backup (Troubleshoot CD)



Electrical and mechanical Operation and maintenances manuals;



Wiring diagrams;

 Pre-Installation requirement;  Technical Data Sheet  All other documents necessary for the correct working of the equipment 5. Painting and Preservations It is our responsibility to painting including supplying to the boiler plant as per the Ethiopian and international standards and all points listed in article 5.5.1 to 5.5.4 are considerable. 6. Installation and commissioning works We are fully responsible for the installation and commissioning works, the required installation tools and competent manpower will be provided.

6.1. Pre-request of installation and commissioning to be performed by the Client 

Suitable place for the storage of boiler and accessories should be provided by the Client before arrived to site.



The boiler plant and accessories foundation and housing will be constructed by the client according the civil drawing as per standard.



Adequate water source and Power supply should be available at the site



Transportation road to the cite should be provided by the client if there isn’t.



Water supply tank with min. volume capacity of 7000L should be provided and installed by the client at the site for continues supply of water.



Technical persons and operators of the client should be available during installation, testing and commissioning for knowledge transfer in order to takeover easily the operation and maintence of the plant during boiler operation time.

6.2. Installation Preparation Work

 Staffing: Installation team need includes: electro mechanical expert, plumber, fitter, electrician, crane rigger, man, riveter, welder and utility workers, together with furnace man.

 Tools Crane, cutting machine, Welding machine, Ruler, Pliers, Spanner, technician tools etc.

 Installation material: Our engineer shall list installation material sheet as per boiler room onsite situation, our standard list is based on experience which shall cover almost all the materials needed on site. We will prepare installation material for those we can’t get locally and shipped together with boiler, to minimize expense and installation period.

 Water and power supply Water tank is needed to be prepared by the client: Volume of water tank normally need to be twice of steam capacity that is water tank volume shall be 7000L at least. And power supply should be available on boiler site.

 Technical preparation: Relevant staff will be organized to learn boiler drawing and technical materials.

 Selection of installation site: 

Will be close to heat consumption area, and ensuring reasonable heating pipe arrangement.

Ensuring that there’s supply of water and electricity on the installation site.

 Foundation preparation The foundation drawing to be prepared early is for reference only. Foundation construction shall be determined by local soil condition. Construction as per foundation drawing and boiler house drawing designed by Client’s civil engineering design department. Casting concrete for loadcarrying part of boiler body and auxiliary.

 Boiler foundation checking and acceptance Foundation size and shape will be checked before installation. construction quality of foundation also will be checked to avoid subsidence, sinking or weak strength problems.

 Boiler body After boiler arrival at the installation site, central line of boiler and foundation center line will be checked to ensure overlapped. Then checking of whether boiler base and foundation contact well, shim plate will be added if there’s space between. 7. Spare part The provision of spare part will be well-organized network and supply chain structure for any given spare parts will be through our Agent Jehoiachin Techno plc. All spare parts will be readily available at any time for emergency requirements and the supply of spare parts for scheduled maintenance will be timely and accurate. Services Centers are facilitated with spare parts and spare parts can be ordered and subsequently supplied in the shortest possible time through our Agent Jehoiachin techno plc. Two year recommended spare part

Training Adequate training will be delivered locally to the buyer’s technical and operation stuff in during installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the equipment at our expense. 9. Warranty 100% brand new when leaving the factory. We shall guarantee for 24 months, excluding the wearing parts which shall be offered all the time with favorable Price. 10. Guarantee We Guarantee that Power consumption of the industrial electric fired steam boiler and Seam delivery (ton/hour) will be as per given rate.

This series boiler makes the electrical control cabinet separate from boiler body to avoid affecting the boiler’s working life when the electrical elements become aging. The electrical heated tube can be used for about 20000 hours; it’s thermal efficiency could almost be 99% and will not release NOx to the air. It’s much more environmental friendly comparing with other fuel type. The control system is PLC, with LCD screen, auto indicators, English operating system and display. 1. All the electrical elements have CE and CCC certification to make sure the boiler safety and long service period. 2. Each group electric heating elements focus on type of flange connection to make the structure simple, safe and easy to repair. 3. With large steam space and good quality steam output. 4. Electrical control cabinet separated from boiler body which make heat emission easily and many sets of parallel. PLC control system control and display make the operation simple and safe. 12.3. Automatic surface and bottom blowdown systems Automatic surface and bottom blowdown systems we supply will be able to help to maintain optimal boiler performance by assisting to maintain a safe level of dissolved solids in boiler water prevents scale formation and eliminating downtime. The automatic surface and bottom blowdown systems includes all listed items in article 5.15 of the bid document. The blowdown tank to be supplied will be designed as per requirement listed in article 5.16

12.4. Electrical control panel (MDB), control cables and equipment The industrial electric steam boiler is to be supplied with an electric control and display systems for all parameters such as local temperature values, pressure values and other parameters. It will consist of all control and display components required for operation & control of motors and electrical devices on the steam boiler. Electrical installation between the switch box and devices are made of heat resistant cables having calculated cross-section. The control system is PLC, with LCD screen, auto indicators, English operating system and display. Electrical control cabinet separated from boiler body which make heat emission easily and many sets of parallel. PLC control system control and display make the operation simple and safe. Power cable The cable cables specification between transformer and LV panel, by considering the distance between TR and LVCP is assumed to be 30 met is four core cable with PVC type with rating voltage 0.6/1 KV, armor construction: Steel wire armored(SWA) and conductor material copper. The cable size will be: - 8(3x(1x4c) )300 mm2 Cu/PVC/SWA 12.7. Power supply The overall power consumption will be 2884 KW or 3605 KVA, with voltage rating of three phase 380 VAC and 50Hz frequency, which fulfills the Ethiopian power standard. 12.8. Units of Measurement All units of measurement will be in the metric system and with standard abbreviations as per listed in the bid document of article 5.19.
