Transmission Line Ampacity in Southern Hemisphere Description: How to input data to obtain the transmission line ampacity for a location in the Southern hemisphere Category:
Transmission Line Ampacity Calculation
Type:
Information
Keywords:
Transmission Line Ampacity, IEEE Std. 738-1993, North Latitude
The North Latitude field for the transmission line ampacity calculation restricts the value to between 0 and 90 degrees. Negative values are not allowed. Accordingly, to obtain the ampacity for locations in the Southern hemisphere enter the south latitude in place of the north latitude and enter the Azimuth as measured counterclockwise from the South direction.
