Thank you for purchasing this pattern. I have been making and selling my piggy tie backs© for years and have always been asked to sell my pattern. This is an original design by myself, Nice and Cosee. You are allowed to sell the finished product provided that you credit my pattern. You may not sell, translate or alter this pattern to sell or share. Pattern and all images are copyrighted to Nice and Cosee. 1

Materials I use • W orsted weight yarn or double knit yarn in your colour choice. I use Stylecraft Special Aran in baby pink and fondant. See pic below • S ize 3.00mm or 3.25mm crochet hook for worsted weight yarn or size 2.00mm or 2.50mm crochet hook with double knit yarn - (if you want to increase or decrease the size of the piggy – use the correct yarn type for your hook... amigurumi requires a tight tension). • 9mm black safety eyes. • Tapestry needle to add the arms, legs etc and to weave in any ends. • Poly fill stuffing.

Height of piggy is around 19cm when using worsted weight yarn and 3.00mm hook.

Abbreviations CH = chain SC = single crochet INC = single crochet increase (2 single crochets in same stitch) INV DEC = single crochet invisible decrease - see notes DC = double crochet TC = triple crochet SS = Slip Stitch St(s) = stitch(es)

Notes • Pattern is in US crochet terminology. • I worked in continuous rounds apart from the tail. • I used a 3.00mm hook and worsted weight yarn throughout the pattern to get a tight gauge. • I advise you to use a stitch marker to keep count of your stitches. • In all of my animal tiebacks I use an invisible single crochet decrease. Steps for the invisible decrease are: insert hook into front loops only of next 2 stitches, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through final 2 loops on hook (ends up as 1 SC). • T he magic ring starts most of the pieces in this pattern. If you don’t want to begin this way then follow these steps: Chain 2 and crochet 6 single crochets into the first chain and then continue onto round 2. Always pull your opening round closed tight.

Ears (Make 2) in baby pink yarn R1: Make a magic ring and chain 2. Into the magic ring work 5 DC, 1TC, 5DC, chain 2 and slip stitch into the centre of the magic ring. Pull the ring closed tightly.
