Barbarian Prince: PnP component/crafting notes You’ll need to print and assemble the following for the re-visioning of the game: • the Rules Book • the Events Book (single and double-sided versions have been provided depending on your access to printers) • the Cal Arath character tracking sheet • the Followers tracking sheet • the 6 double sided Travel Table sheets. (each sheet should be printed on card stock, then folded along the center line, glued and trimmed to the crop marks)
The first page of counters (locations, followers and items) is not required but is provided as an add-on to make the game easier to play. This sheet should be glued to cardstock/chipboard and then individual counters can be cut out. Location/item counters have reference numbers corresponding to rules/events in the game. Location counters are intended to be placed on the map to remember specific events in the game for later reference. The second page of location counters is sized only for letter/A4 ‘travel’ sized versions of the game. Follower counters are placed on the matching crossed swords icon on the followers tracking sheet. Certain rules/events often make note of particular types of follower. Item counters are placed on the treasure chest area on the character and followers tracking sheets. A barbarian prince ‘standee’ has also been included, this should be folded and inserted into a binder clip (remove the silver clip arms afterwards). Of course you may wish to use a nice miniature barbarian or your original Cal Arath miniature if you are lucky to have one.
It is also recommended to use the following numbers of eurocubes for use on the character/followers tracking sheets 38 black cubes to track endurance, time, food, gold, starvation, poison, mounted/guide status etc... 7 red cubes to track combat skill 1 blue cube to track Cal Arath’s wit&wiles value
Both books have been color coded for easier reference and readability. Colors denote the following: Rules Events Variants Special Notes
