Code Reversal : 

Reverse the rejected changeset through a new changeset - by Dev Team



Add approval with description as “Code Reversal – No Update” to both the rejected task and the reversal task –by Quality Manager



Run RTC query to pick up tasks with the Code Reversal description and remove them from RTC snapshot log –by Integration Team



Prepare updates with the rest of the log file tasks – by Integration Team

Reversal of Changeset with Example in TEST Server given below: 1> Identify the Task associated with the rejected Changeset(221092) – Routine changes in DE.PROCESS.ALERTS

1> Right click the changeset and reverse the changes as below:

Reversal creates a patch which needs to be merged with the local workspace as below:

Check-in the reversed changes into a change-set:

Associate the changeset with a new Task number with Summary as “Reversal for task”

The original Task 221092 and the reversal task 252768 must have the approvals as below: “Code Reversal – No Update” must be the Approval description with the QM approval added.

Integration Team will have a query to pick up tasks with the above said Approval description. These tasks will be removed from the log file before preparing updates.
