Untuk keamanan nilai do dikalikan dengan angka keamanan 1.5 – 2.0 (untuk tanah granuler), sehingga: d = 1.5 do = 1.5 x 5.5 = 8.25 m. Jadi panjang turap yang masuk ke tanah adalah 8.25 m, sehingga panjang turap yang dibutuhkan adalah: 10 + 8.25 = 18.25 m.
