ESSAY OF LASKAR PELANGI FILMS This film came from a novel is written by Andrea Hirata. This film is filled with stories about the fringes, and the story of life’s struggle to reach a moving dream, as well as the beauty of friendship that saved a human life, with a background of a beautiful island that once became one of the richest islands in Indonesia. In this part, I will explain a little bit about film of Laskar Pelangi. The first day of the opening a new class at Muhammadiyah Elementary School was a thrilling experience for two wonderful teachers, Mrs. Muslimah and Mr. Harfan, and 9 students waiting at the school located in the Village of Gantong, Belitong. Because if you don’t reach 10 students signing up, the school will be closed. That day, Harun, a special student saved them. To the 10 students who were named Laskar Pelangi by Mrs. Muslimah, made an unforgettable story. Five years together, Ms. Mus, Mr. Harfan, to the 10 students with the unique and special qualities of each struggle to continue the school. Among the great challenges and pressures to give up, Ikal, Lintang, and Mahar with their talents and intelligence emerged as a booster of their school spirit.
