How to adjust the sights of your HK rifle Sighting in. G3/91 battle sight in. Set the rear sight drum to pos. ”2” and test fire at a distance of 30 meters. The G3/91 has the same POI at 30 and 200 meters using NATO ammo. After firing a test group, calculate the mean point of impact and adjust accordingly. Range 1/4 turn equals

94/MP 5 Set the rear sight drum to any desired aperture, and test fire at a distance of 25 meters. The 94/MP5 has the same POI at 25 and 75 meters using NATO ammo. Sight adjustments. To adjust the sights of HK’s 9x series,G3/33 and MP5 models you will need the following: -HK sight adjustment tool or a forceps/needle nose pliers and a #2 Philips head screwdriver.
Windage adjustment:
Loosen the clamping screw and turn the adjusting screw the desired amount of ¼ turns. Turning the adjusting screw clockwise moves the POI left, counterclockwise moves the POI right.
Elevation adjustment: -HK tool Insert the elevation adjustment tool into the rear sight cylinder in such a manner that the wedges of the tool engage the two splines in the cylinder that contains the catch bolts. Now press the Philips-head screwdriver into the adjustment tool and hold firmly. You can now rotate the rear sight cylinder the desired amount of ¼ turns.

Use the Needle nose pliers/forceps to press in the catch bolts. You can now rotate the rear sight cylinder the desired amount of ¼ turns.
Make sure the catch bolts reengage the splines after the adjustment is done. Then turn the sight drum to the desired aperture.
