Introduction The novelty of the ODIC method (OverDoseInducedCompatibilities) is that it starts with defining a perfume of value, with personality, from the use of an overdose (SD) as well as the new definition-classification of the components of the composition in Dominant (D), major (mj). , medium (me), minor (mi) depending on the concentration at which they are used. Another important element of novelty is the definition of the induced compatibilities. Studying thousands of perfume recipes I noticed that all valuable perfumes with personality are built on an overdose of a component. Making a perfume recipe based on an overdose as a starting point (depending on the character of the perfume) greatly simplifies the procedure because otherwise we would be faced with an infinity of experimental data extremely difficult to use, which is extremely useful to solve the problem from the point of view of AI Artificial Intelligence. The inventive activity of the method is the fact that I have observed experimentally that we could introduce in the perfumery recipe medium or minor components, incompatible with overdose, but they become perfectly compatible with the overdose through the dominant or major components which ensures harmonization of the mixture. This allows the creation of perfume compositions with a much larger number of components, perfectly harmonized, much more complex as an olfactory shade. This fact is illustrated by the VIOLET perfume, which is a composition of violet perfume with almost fifty perfectly harmonized components of remarkable complexity. If only one component were chosen incorrectly according to the method, a dissonant composition would result. This fact demonstrates the practical verification of the method, along with the numerous examples of perfume compositions using the method. The industrial applicability of the method is obvious, the method is of real use both to perfumes and to the field of Artificial Intelligence - computer programs. The method allows to realize a perfume perfectly harmonized with the large number of components in a single test, compared to the current methods where you can reach hundreds and thousands of tests. . Another important element of this book is the definition in perfume compositions of new musk bases, Musk C25 and Musk C15, which give a remarkable value to these compositions, especially those florals with overdose of musk. I studied manny perfume compositions in order to find the "ideal musk". I consider from these studies that Musk C25 and Musk C15 are the best combination of musks, with remarkable volume and tenacity, suitable for almost all situations. The book is addressed to both people with minimal perfume knowledge and those who want to study perfumery as a hobby. Chapter 1. Method of making perfume compositions and algorithm for the method The following is a method, called ODIC (OverDoseInducedCompatibilities) for achievement of perfume compositions in the field of perfumery and an algorithm for the method of creation in the field of perfumery. Several creative methods are known in the field of perfumery. One of them is the method of obtaining well-rounded perfumes, which involves making a perfume from a large number of components in relatively small quantities. The disadvantage of this method is that perfumes without personality are obtained. Another well-known creative method in the perfumery industry is the Jean Carles method. This method involves the alternative modification of the concentration of each component from the top, middle and base while the other concentrations of the components remain constant. The disadvantage of the method is the large number of tests required to make a perfume and the high consumption of perfume oils. The present ODIC method establishes new criteria for classifying the components of a perfume and assigning specific names based on their concentration in use, which will allow based on a new algorithm the creation of a perfume with personality , perfectly harmonized from a minimum number of tests based on the definition of primary compatibilities and the induced compatibilities between the components of the perfume, from the database http://www.thegoodscentscompany.com The present ODIC method of producing perfume compositions consists of the following operations in successive order: - at least one overdose (SD) is chosen; - based on the primary compatibilities or the induced compatibilities, the following are chosen in order: dominant (D); major (mj); medium (me); minor (mi); - The recipes of the perfume compositions are made respecting the primary compatibilities and the induced compatibilities assigning numerical values to the concentration of the ingredients. By applying the ODIC method, the following advantages are obtained: - perfumes with personality are obtained; - reduced consumption of perfume oils when making a perfume;

- perfumes are perfectly harmonized. A perfume is composed on the basis of the volatility of the components of the top (V), middle (M) and base (B). This is not a contradiction with the fact that a perfume with personality is composed according to the present ODIC method, based on the percentage concentration of at least one overdose (SD) and dominant (D), major (mj), medium (me), minor (mi) . A perfume with personality according to the present ODIC method is composed on the basis of the percentage concentration or the concentrations in the databases from: - at least one overdose (SD), usually greater than 15%, but usually at most double the maximum concentration recommended in the databases, taking into account the recommendations of IFRA. In essence, an overdose (SD) is a concentration greater than or equal to the maximum concentration recommended in the databases with the recommendations given by IFRAInternational Fragrance Association. There are cases when there may be two compatible overdoses. There are cases when one overdose may induce another overdose with identical compatibilities; - dominants (D), usually between 10-15%, but usually at most the maximum concentration (M) recommended by databases and IFRA recommendations; -majors (mj), between 5-10%, but usually a value between 50% and 100% of the maximum concentration (M) recommended by databases and IFRA recommendations; -mediums (me), between 1-5% or a value between 10% and 50% of the maximum concentration (M) recommended by databases and IFRA recommendations; - minors (mi), less than 1% or a value between 1% and 10% of the maximum concentration (M) recommended by the databases and IFRA recommendations. According to the present method, at least one overdose (SD) is chosen and then based on the primary and / or induced compatibilities, the following are chosen in order: dominant (D), major (mj), medium (me); minor (me). Then the recipes are made optionally , or based on the Jean Carles method applied separately to the dominant (D), major (mj), medium (me) and minor (mi), or based on other methods, or based on personal experience, respecting the primary compatibilities and the induced compatibilities. Primary compatibility is defined as a well-known compatibility determined experimentally between overdose (s) (SD), and the dominant (D), major (mj), medium (me) and minor (mi). The primary compatibilities can also be found in the databases, and based on these, the induced compatibilities can be established, also from the databases.

The induced compatibility is defined as a compatibility of an element incompatible with

overdose (SD) but induced by at least one dominant component (D) or major (mj) in the case of medium (me) or minor (mi) or at least one dominant component (D), major (mj), average (me) in the case of minor components (mi). Following are some examples of embodiment according to the present method of creation in the field of perfumery. Example 1: An overdose (SD) is chosen: DIHYDROJASMONE 5%. This overdose induces another overdose with identical compatibilities: FLEURAMONE 4%. The primary and the induced compatibilities of the two overdoses (SD), grouped from the point of view of volatility, respectively top (V), middle (M) and base (B), established on the basis of experimental determinations (http: //www.thegoodscentscompany. com) are presented in table 1: Table 1: Compatibilities of overdoses (SD) DIHYDROJASMONE and FLEURAMONE Top (V) Bergamot Methyl pamplemousse Benzyl acetate Orange leaf Lavender Linalyl acetate Alpha terpineol

Chapter 2. Practical achievement. The book presents fragrance compositions. For their reproduction it is necessary: -a balance with accuracy of one hundredth of a gram; - six glasses of thirty milliliters (three for pipettes and three for washing pipettes with alcohol); - thirty pharmacy pipettes made of rubber glass selected to have the same size. Pasteur pipettes preferably made of glass are used for quantities smaller than one drop; -80 degree alcohol-ethanol; - perfume containers or pharmaceutical brown bottles, 10 milliliters. A drop of perfume oil has 20 milligrams. If in the recipes the percentages are replaced with drops, perfumes of 15-30% concentration will be obtained by filling with alcohol 80 degrees vol. In the 10 milliliter container. 0.05% BHT antioxidant was used in all scent recipes. To make a perfume we have to answer two questions: what ingredients we use and how much of each ingredient we put. These two things become simple through the ODIC method, following the steps of the algorithm of the method : - we choose at least one overdose (SD) with a numerical value greater than 15% or between (M) and 2 (M) where (M) is the maximum value recommended in the databases for the respective ingredient (Annex I); - based on the primary compatibilities and the induced compatibilities, the following are chosen in order: Dominant (D) with a numerical value between 10-15% or approximately equal to (M); major (mj) with a numerical value between 5-10% or between 0.5x (M) and (M); medium (me) with a numeric value between 1 and 5% or between (0.1 and 0.5) x (M); minors (mi) with a numerical value between 0.1 and 1% or between (0.01 and 0.1) x (M). In this case "or" does not mean that the two values are equal. The maximum value (M) is specific for each ingredient used in perfumery and can be found in the databases (Annex I). Thegoodscentscompany.com database includes for each perfume ingredient the following: name; trade name; chemical name; CAS number; the type of smell; smell strength; substantivity; IFRA critical effect; limits in the finished product; potential mixing products (ie primary compatibilities) and potential uses (types of perfumes where the product is recommended) and demonstration formulas. Appendix I contains the main perfumery ingredients and the maximum recommended concentrations (M) as well as the usual concentrations of use, which would give an answer to

the question "how much do we put?" in the case of beginner perfumers. Unfortunately "little is put" is learned in a few years. Chapter 3. Perfumery bases. The year 2003 was the beginning of a new period in the history of perfume, that of floral perfumes with musk overdose (the perfume 'For her' - Narciso Rodriguez).
