DATA SHEET INSTRUCTIONS 1 UNITS TOGGLE This data sheet is designed to permit selection of Units of Measure by selecting the desired choice from the list box located on this page. 2 TURNOVER TO OTHERS OUTSIDE OF TheCompany When these data sheets are turned over to others in native format, the "Notes" and "Units" pages should be hidden (Format /Sheet/Hide) and Password protection turned on for the workbook (Tools /Protection /Workbook/ Structure) It is suggested that the password be "TheCompanyunits" Use of common password will enable other engineers to unlock these functions but make the feature difficult for others to find and use. 3 ISSUE OF DATA SHEETS Prior to issue of this data sheet, the non applicable sheets (pump summary, unused pump pages 3 & 4 and either catagory 1&2 or Catagory 3 seal page) should be hidden as noted above. 4 MODIFIED UNITS To modify a preformatted Unit of Measure, select the "Units" worksheet tab and enter the new Unit of Measure in the proper row and column. The unit will then be changed everywhere it is used on the data sheets. Should you need to deviate from the preformatted Units of Measure is it convenient to use the "Hybrid" row. To do this, copy and paste the closest matching preformatted row into the "Hybrid" row then make the changes accordingly. If needed, change the name of the Units of Measure that appears in the title block of each page by updating the cell on the "Units" worksheet that contains "Hybrid". For example, English, U.S. Customary (Atmospheres), Project Specific, SI (N/m2), etc. Note that any changes to the Units of Measure should be in agreement with those designated by the Client and/or documented in the Project Coordination Procedures. 5 UNIT CONVERSIONS Be advised that these features do not presently include a capability for mathematically converting from one unit of measure to another. The user is responsible for selecting the proper units of measure and for performing any conversions. 6 COLOR CODES Also note that the data sheets use a standardized convention for indicating who is expected to input the data. Entries displayed in GREEN are "By Buyer/Purchaser", entries in RED are "By Seller" and entries in BLUE are "By Either". For the sake of clarity, those Units of Measure which are modifiable by the procedure listed above are designated in PURPLE. 7 PRINTING Wnen unnecessary sheetrs are hidden, the completed data sheet can be printed by selecting "print workbook" option.
