These archetypes are not binding, as your character may hit more than one of these during play. Consider them optional foundations for which to build off of, as well as potential moments in your character’s story.

You begin on Episode 1. Pick an arbitrary, awesome sounding “star date” to track time with, and title your episode. For example: Your first episode must include the following plot points: • • • • •

These character pieces help establish your past, present, and future, and solidify your character archetype. If, during the game, you run out of motivations or ideas on how to continue, come back to these pieces for inspiration. Your character is chronicling the episode after it happened, so use the past tense. This is the case for every episode . Once you feel that you’ve covered the episode fully, roll 1d6. Take the result, and add that number to your current episode number. If you rolled a 4 and you were on episode 1, you are now on episode 5. If you’re on episode 5 and you roll a 6, you are now on episode 11. Once you know what episode your next journal entry is about, roll your 1d6 once for each of the following sections to decide what impossible happening your went through.

While chronicling each episode tell the story of whatever time skips might happen. This can be due to episode jumps, or even by moving the “star date” forward by choice. Episode 32 can take place ten years after episode 1, or ten days. Once you finish chronicling an episode, use your 1d6 and roll for each section again to choose the prompt for your next episode. You can interpret the prompts in any way that make sense to you. Each one of these situations brings your closer to realizing that they are an invincible, impossible being. When they become sure of this truth, and in what context, is up to you.

Upon reaching episode 32, the format changes slightly. Instead of just chronicling the past, you’ll also include the present situation your is in. The situation that will, unbeknownst to them, will be their last. Once you have completed the episode, the game is over.
