Printing Inks • Flexo/Gravure Inks • Printing ink is a dispersion of pigments, binders additives and solvents. • While printing solvents act as a carrier of pigment/binder/additive to film and solvent is removed by heating at higher temperatures leaving behind designs as required by end customer.

Printing Inks • Printing can be surface or reverse. • In surface printing like milk , oil, ghee, carry bags ink is directly exposed to atmosphere and inks need to be designed as per requirement of product/ shelf life etc. • In reverse printing , printed film is laminated to one or more films to form a laminate structure.
