CENTRIFUGAL PUMP MAINTENACE • REMOVAL OF BACK PULL OUT PUMP. 1 . REMOVE CASING BOLTS - PULL OUT PUMP FROM VOLUTE 2 . REMOVE IMPELLER NUT, IMPELLER & KEY. 3 . UNBOLT SEAL GLAND FROM CASING AND SLIDE BACK AGAINST THE DEFLECTOR. 4 . REMOVE CASING COVER / BACK PLATE. 5 . PULL OUT SEAL (IF CARTRIDGE). ELSE DISSASEMBLE. 6 . REMOVE BRG BRACKET LANTERN / DIST PIECE. 7 . REMOVE COUPLING HUB & DISMANTLE BRG COVERS. 8 . REMOVE CIRCLIPS. 9 . DRIVE OUT SHAFT WITH ANG CONTACT BRGS. 10. REMOVE ROLLER CAGE / PULL OUT BEARINGS.

REMOVE BEARING HOUSING & BEARINGS. 4 . REMOVE MECH SEAL. 5 . REMOVE END COVER OF NDE BRG HOUSING. 6 . REMOVE BRG HOUSING OF NDE END. REMOVE BRGS . 7 . REMOVE NDE MECH SEAL. 8 . OPEN CASING BOLTS AND REMOVE COVER. 9 . PULL OUT ROTOR. WITH IMPELLERS. 10. OPEN IMPELLER NUT. AND REMOVE IMPELLER.

THIS CAN CAUSE OPENING OUT OF SEAL , STRAINING OF BEARINGS , EXCESSIVE RUB MAXIMUM READINGS - 0.1 mm ( INDICATIVE) • BENT SHAFT. CAN CAUSE EXCESSIVE VIBRATIONS, SEAL AND BEARING FAILURES. MAX READING - 0.05 mm (TIR)
MAINTENANCE -PUMP CENTRIFUGAL • STUFFING BOX SQUARENESS. FACE OF THE STUFFING BOX SHOUD BE PERPENDICULAR TO THE SHAFT AXIS. IF MORE THIS CAN CAUSE SEAL WOBBLE AND CAN CAUSE SEAL FAILURE. MAX READING - 0.05 mm ( MAX). • BORE CONCENTRICITY. CONCENTRICITY IF OUT MAY CAUSE SEAL WOBBLE AND EXCESSIVE RUBS. MAX READING - 0.125 mm (MAX). • WHIP / DEFLECTION LEADS TO SEAL FAILURE, INDICATIVE OF INCREASED BEARING CLEARENCE

1 . SHAFTS CHECK FOR STRAIGTNESS - RUN OUT NOT TO EXCEED 0.05 INSPECT THREADS, KEYWAYS, SHOULDERS ON SHAFTS. MEASURE AND RECORD ALL SHAFT FITS. 2 . BEARING HOUSING AND BEARINGS OBSERVE MOUNTING PROCEDURES. CHECK FOR EXCESSIVE CLEARENCES. WHEN IN DOUBT CHECK CAREFULLY & SCRAP. CHECK CLEARENCES OF SLEEVE BEARINGS. CLEARENCES IS 0.0015 ~ 0.003” PER INCH OF SHAFT DIA.
