In order To get information for this project the researcher will construct a questionnaire which consists of 15 items which will distributed to twenty five youths in Granville. The researcher wants to get all the opinions of the community of Granville so the sampling was done on anybody who got selected in the process but the ages of population will be strictly 16 above due to their understandings and experience. The sample will be selected using the simple random sampling by placing the names of sixty names of youths in my community in a bag. The bag will then shake and the first twenty five names selected will give a questionnaire to complete. After distributed the researcher will analyze them all of them returned and answered.

Data is presented in my project by using a pie chart, a histogram and a bar graph. figure 1: Levels of education Achieved

A pic chart showing the levels of education achieved by youths in Granville. 25% 35% Primary Secondary Tertiary

40%

Figurer one is a pie chart showing the response of the person as to the levels of education they achieved. From the three levels of education it was seen that majority of the respondents obtained a secondary education follow by tertiary education and the minority attained a primary education. This pie chart also shows that 25% of the person who are unemployed achieve a

primary level of education. While 40% achieve secondary level of education and only 35% receive tertiary level of education.

Question 6: Ways in which the unemployed meet their needs

Ways in which the unemployed meet their basic needs

provided by family and love ones

20%

engage in illegal activities provided by friends 20%

60%

Figurer three is a pie chart illustrating how the basic needs of youths in Granville are met due to their unemployment. It was noticed that a great majority of person meet their basic needs family and loved ones, sixty percent to them to be precise. Twenty percent of person continue to exist by means of their friends and a reduced amount of twenty percent survive by doing illegal activates and ten percent were others.

From this collection of data it can be said that most of the respondents chosen by using the simple random sampling method where youths between the age group of 16 and above. The first on the figure asked the respondents what level of education they have obtained. A vast number of the participants attained a secondary education forty five percent, following by a primary education thirty five percent and the minority attaining a tertiary education twenty five percent. From the information mentioned above it can be said that majority of the youths in Granville are not well educated and according to recent news articles you have to be qualify to in certain areas to get a drop. The second figure asked the respondents how many subjects they have obtained. A great majority of the participants did not obtained a subject according to thirty five percent. Thirty percent gained under five subjects without mathematics and English. Fifteen percent gained five subjects including mathematics and English. Ten percent gained five subject including mathematics alone. From this it can be said that most youths are unemployed mainly because they do not have the educational qualifications or in other words they tack they compulsory subjects.

Figure three asked the respondents have they ever worked before. The answers of yes and no is 18:7. From this analysis it can be proved that the youths of Granville had word before. Of the 25 percent chosen by the sampling method 18 of them have had working experience prior to the collection of the questionnaires. The remaining 7 persons have never had any working experience or held any jobs.

Figure 4 question asked the respondents if they feel the government or private sector is doing enough to fight the Unemployment issue. The ratio yes and no is 14:11, from this analysis it can be said that government is trying its best to address the unemployment problem. In analyzing question fourteen, seventy six percent of the respondents stated that they would like migrate in search of job opportunities. While the remaining twenty four percent answered no to this question. It can be noted here that the jobs that would appeal to them rather than the low paid salaries they currently work for and those unemployed would have the opportunity to get a job.

The researcher found that: 1. Most of the youths were employed but due to the situations of job upgrades where workers need subjects or skill to be employed so most of them got fired then being unemployed. 70% of young adults are unemployment while 30% are working. Consequence is that the youths won’t be able to maintain their selves and this can also lead to crime. Solution The government can build an institution for person that did not get an proper education in school by going about in the community to find out the person that did not get an proper education in school and take them to the institution and let them get an proper education to become successful in life if they are interesting.

2. Unemployment is mostly common among persons between the ages of 1830 years because of the poverty. 80% says that unemployment is common among the persons of 18-30 while the remaining 20% say otherwise Consequence persons will find other ways of survival which is crime and will lead to death of most of the young youths. Solution the government can

employ them by providing small jobs for the person unemployed. They can offer small jobs like farm worker to plant yam, bananas and other thing. They can also work at an construction area to build building, housing scheme and they can hired them as a genitor at their home

Unemployment is mostly caused by lack of education. 90% says that unemployment is cause by lack of education while the remaining 10% say otherwise. Consequence lack of education can hurt you a lot it life. Without getting a proper education you won’t get an job to provide for your family. Solution help the younger generation growing up to get a good education to get an job to provide for their family.

PROBLEM Unemployment is mostly common among persons between the ages of 18- over 30 years because of the poverty

STRATEGY 3. The government can build an institution for person that did not get an proper education in school. They can implement this suggestion by going about in the community to find out the person that did not get an proper education in school

and take them to the institution and let them get an proper education to become successful in life if they are interesting. 4.
