What is this Protocol About? Until now, it was said that people detox the best on only astringent fruits and herbs. But why? Astringent fruits contract the mucosa. This forces the lymphatic system to move. Acids and mucus are expelled through the mucosa and the kidneys which leaves a cleaner environment. However, unbound acids are very irritative to our system. Many people are experiencing discomfort while detoxing. Why don’t we bind acids to something to neutralise them? The balance of chemistry implies, that for every acid molecule there must be a base one. Sour, astringent fruits have a relatively high mineral content and even though they have natural fruit acids, they are metabolised into alkaline ash. Sweet and dried fruit, however, contains far more minerals. It can bind to much more acids and thus neutralise higher amounts of irritating chemistry. In the past, this kind of dense fruit hasn’t been recommended for detox purpose because it lacks the astringent properties. However, I hold the view that a combination of astringent and high mineral content fruit is the key to impressive kidney filtration and body detoxification. Not only are tissue acids released, but also neutralised!

Why Do I Think So? I have been detoxing for the last 10 months. In this time, many of my health complaints could be reversed through regenerative detoxification. Because of my impatient nature, I followed pretty intense detox protocols for many months with, I am sad to say this, less success that I had hoped for. For example, I was dry fasting 20 hours daily and eating only three kilograms of mangoes in my eating window for four months straight. This was followed by one month of weekly four-day dry fasting. Of course, I was using other tools like taking many herbs or going regularly to saunas, but the progress was still too slow for me. Luckily I have started to educate myself about health topics even before I found Dr Morse. Having access to a famous medicine campus in Germany (Erlangen), I could get in touch with big amounts of professional literature on every possible subject in the medical field. In combination with the knowledge of Dr Morse this has resulted in many new insights. The most important one: Sweet fruits like figs, dates and apricots are detoxing the body extremely quickly, but somehow often excluded from detoxification protocols.





What Can You Expect from this Protocol? After doing many „hard“ protocols such as doing weekly 4-day dry fasts or 20 hours daily dry fasting for several months I could only see small improvements in my health. I was very disappointed since I had high hopes to finally get completely rid of my health complaints. Since I have developed and followed this protocol, I have been getting amazing results. My health is improving very quickly. I feel very energised, vital and satisfied. The first time, doing detoxification, I am not losing any weight, but actually gaining back some body mass. Due to the amazing kidney filtration, my eyes are showing great improvements in my bodies constitution. This protocol has given me much better results in one month than I have received from others in the nine months before. Not joking. Quick healing comes, however, with the price of some pain. Side effects, often called healing crisis, are also present with this protocol. For instance, my skin started to show rashes again. My sinuses and throat are releasing heavy, thick (brown and yellow) mucus. Right now, as I am writing this protocol, I am experiencing flu-like symptoms. Very strong mucus elimination from the sinuses, throat and lungs, heavy migraines and weakness. It’s very likely that you will experience at least decent healing crisis after some certain time doing this protocol. Don’t be afraid, it’s a sign that your body is healing itself.

Alkalisation Leads to Kidney Filtration - the Key to Regenerative Detoxification The idea of body alkalisation isn’t new. It has been known for centuries, very likely even longer. As we already know, there are two sides of chemistry, acid and base. Since the human body is producing acidic metabolic waste, we have to counteract with an alkaline diet, the diet we have been designed for. This includes minerals and other substances, which metabolise into alkalinity in the body.

Filtration, that I experience everyday on this protocol



This food consists out of low levels of protein/amino acids and high levels of alkaline minerals. These are our fruit and vegetables. Fruit has many benefits over vegetables. The most alkaline fruits are the sweet ones, like dates, apricots or figs. Food that turns into acid ash, however, can still have high amounts of minerals, but often times they are bound to lectins, phytic acid or/and oxalic acid and thus not absorbable for the human body. Even worse, these foods are many times very high in proteins. They are broken down into amino acids and later into smaller parts. Many amino acids contain elements such as sulphur or phosphor which will further turn into sulphuric and phosphoric acids. These are highly damaging and irritative to our body, in other words, they are inflammatory. When our kidneys are working properly we can see the elimination of acidic waste through our urine. It has to be cloudy and dull, not clear like the medicinal field likes to tell us (see picture). In my opinion, there is some confusion when it comes to kidney filtration.

Alkalisation Loosens and Moves Lymph It is true that astringency is highly important for proper detoxification. It stimulates the mucosal membranes, contracts them and therefore gets it into movement. The interstitial fluid and later the lymph can flow towards the kidneys to then be filtered out. This is only possible when the interstitial fluid is moveable and not full of acidic waste. It has to be alkalised with minerals from mineral rich fruits. When your body is over acidic, the interstitial fluid is very dehydrated and hard to move (see below). To drain your tissue of old stagnant lymph it is key to neutralise these acids so the lymph can move more easily. If you have a clean interstitial fluid, nutrients - like seen in the picture - can enter the cell easily. Also, waste particles can flow towards lymph vessels where they are picked up and brought to the eliminative channels of the body. Imagine your interstitial fluid would be very thick, viscid and full of waste. Nutrient distribution would be much harder, in some cases impossible which would lead to cellular starvation. Also metabolic waste could not leave the tissue as easily as it should. It is extremely important, therefore, to bring as much alkaline chemistry into the body as possible. This will clean the medium in which all your cells „swim“. Only then a perfect exchange of metabolic substances between the interstitial fluid and your cells can happen. 
 
 If you might lose filtration for a while, don’t worry. Some parts of your lymphatic system have already been cleaned out. Now, other areas have to alkalised so that more old stagnant lymph can be loosened to get processed by the kidneys.

Too Much Fluid The kidney is an organ that is impressive in many ways. It has many tasks to do on a daily basis. I want to concentrate on two: Filtering lymph and regulating



body fluids. Both are achieved through filtration. When you drink too many liquids, such as juices and teas, your kidneys will have to regulate your fluid level. As a consequence, they won’t concentrate on filtering out your metabolic waste. Don’t overdo it with drinking since true hydration doesn’t come from more liquids but from alkalisation. When you limit your fluid intake, your kidneys will mainly concentrate on filtering old stagnant lymph. In short words: Drink until you are not longer thirsty and don’t drink excessively when you are not feeling any need for drinking something.

The Dry Fasting Myth Dry fasting is an exciting topic. Nevertheless, many people are confused when it comes to the question, how dry fasting helps your body to detoxify more effectively. There are a few theories, for example, that dry fasting saves cellular and nerve energy for detoxification processes. This may be partly true, but there are other ways of achieving this, such as adding enough fruit that is high in sugar to supply your body with all the energy needed and improving your adrenal function (see sweet and dried fruit). Some people say that dry fasting is the key component for moving lymph, but as I have already described the mechanism of alkalisation, see „Alkalisation loosens and moves lymph“, it isn’t improving lymph flow, but enhancing kidney filtration. As my dry fasts, whether they were short or long ones, showed decent filtration I have lost it many times. Why? Because old stagnant lymph, that was loosened before by alkalisation (eating alkalising fruit), was already eliminated and nothing more could leave the body. You have to continue taking in alkaline chemistry to loosen more old lymph. This is not only my experience, it was also observed by many people whom I recommended this protocol. Consequently, it is necessary to first alkalise the body, neutralise old stagnant lymph, so it can be filtered out by the kidneys. Dry fasting alone won’t give you the greatest results.

Alkalisation Leads to Clean Interstitial Fluid I want to emphasise this because this specific topic is often underrated. Your body won’t function normally and won’t heal until your whole interstitial fluid is cleaned. You have 75 trillion cells in your body. All of them are „swimming“ in interstitial fluid (see picture). Many people think, that they are directly connected to blood vessels, but that isn’t the truth. They are supplied with nutrients which leave the blood vessel, enter the interstitial fluid and then are „pulled“ into each cell.





When your interstitial fluid is full of waste, nutrients can’t enter the cells. Consequently, they are unable to work normally. This affects all of them. Whether they are in an endocrine gland and have to produce essential hormones or are in your brain which governs many other body functions. Alkalisation and kidney filtration help your interstitial fluid to get back into its normal state. Nutrients can enter the cells unhindered. This allows them to work properly again. An extremely high count of body processes starts to work properly again. If you come to this point, you will feel true cellular regeneration and healing. This is what you want to achieve. Out of my experience, this protocol is one of the best ways to achieve this in a very short time, because it includes high mineral sweet fruits in big amounts.

1. Astringent Fruit

Drink juices or eat solid fruit in small amounts. I recommend 2 litres of juice or 2 kg of fruit. Too much astringent fruit can stir up too much acid.

Like in any current protocol, astringent fruits is crucial for great detoxification. It contracts the mucosal membranes of the body which leads to lymphatic movement, mucus and acid secretion. Be cautious, because too many acidic, sour fruits can stir up a lot of toxins. If they can’t be eliminated all at once (with base chemistry), it will lead to side effects which are often called „healing crisis“. There are stronger and weaker astringent fruits. My favourites are citrus fruits like lemons, oranges or tangerines. But also pomegranates and grapes have a very strong effect. Although it is „The Dates and Lemon Detox Protocol“ you can choose from a wide variety of astringent fruits. The lemonade from the „Master Cleanse“ is just my favourite and, in my opinion, the most powerful choice. It’s a lemonade made out of freshly squeezed lemon juice, a sweetener like raw honey or maple syrup and a pinch of cayenne pepper (exact recipe below). Below is a short list of astringent fruits that you can choose from (sorted by astringency): You can switch between those fruits during the day or the week. Mono fruit eating is, however, always preferred. It is advised to not mix acid with sweet fruit since you could experience indigestion.

2. Sweet and Dried Fruit

Eat as much sweet and dried fruit as you like. Dried is preferred.

Sweet and dried fruit is said to slow down the detoxification process. I disagree with that (see chapters above). They are the most powerful tools since they have massive amounts of accessible minerals which alkalise they body far quicker than astringent fruits. It is ‚compressed nutrition‘. The volume of the fruit is reduced significantly. Eating the same amount of dried fruit will give you far more nutrition than eating fruit that hasn’t been dehydrated.To find the right balance you should predominantly eat sweet dried fruit because they usually have more minerals and also less astringent properties than dried sub acid fruits.



The king of the high mineral content fruit is the fig, followed by apricots and dates. I like to switch between those. You can choose from a wide variety of dried and sweet fruits. My all time favourite is the date but you can also choose between figs, apricots, mulberries and many more. If you want to get some variety you can also eat dried sub acid fruit like mangoes, cherries or papayas. However, I highly recommend dates, figs and apricots because, out of my experience, they have a far better cleansing effect. They also lack astringency. This is important for the balance of released acids and binding minerals and prevents a too intense healing crisis. When buying them watch out for additives like sulphur. Another point which I want to add is that the high fructose content of dried fruits is enhancing your bodies energy level. I don’t want to get too deep into this topic since it is very scientific. Fructose is the cleanest fuel for your body and because sweet fruits contain very high levels of it, your body can produce ATP (bodies main energy form) in extremely high amounts. This supports every process in the body, especially the detoxification of your lymph system. Furthermore, it doesn’t stress your adrenals but rather supports them.

3.Herbs

Take the herbs you need. Add lymphatic formulas and the GI Broom.

Herbs play a big role in this protocol too. You should pick formulas for your specific weaknesses. In general, I recommend taking basic herbs for your adrenal, kidney and gland function. Additionally, I hold the view that lymphatic formulas can boost your filtration. Especially the GI Broom and other lymphatic formulas pull on the bowel walls which leads to great lymphatic drainage of the whole body. To know, which genetic weaknesses you have an iris reading is often needed. You can acquire an iridologist in our group, or ask me if you want.





4. Dry Fasting Dry fast daily and, if you want, weekly. Dry fasting isn’t required for great kidney filtration, but I strongly recommend it. Keep your liquids intake low.

The problem I saw with myself and many other people, is the high fluid intake. Whether it is juice, teas or plain water is not important. If your body is flooded with too much fluid, your kidneys will have to filter out all excess water and stop working on proper lymph filtration. That’s why dry fasting is an important part. You can choose between different settings. Daily dry fasts between 12 and 23 hours (sleeping time included) or weekly dry fasts for up to four days (not recommended). While dry fasting, your body is allowed to get into contact with water. That means you can shower, wash your hands, brush your teeth etc. It doesn’t affect the effect of dry fasting since your body doesn’t absorb too much fluid into your body. Dry fasting is simply about relieving your kidneys so they can filter out loosened lymph effectively.

The Best Dates When it comes to dates you can choose from a wide variety of this sweet delicious fruit. They can be differentiated by sweetness, softness, size and colour.

Buying Dates When buying dates you have to make sure that you buy good quality ones. There are fresh dates, semi-dry dates and dried dates (see examples above). The safest way to avoid pesticides is to buy organic produce. However, this isn’t always necessary. Due to local climatic characteristics, some date farmers don’t spray their date palms because insects cant survives in specific climates. However, there are many producers which spray their fruits.

How to Eat Dates Dates rarely have parasites/worms in them. You should always open your dates to see whats inside. Worms leave a specific residue in the inner part of the fruit. If you see this, don’t eat them.





Mold can be an issue with dates too. If you open your dates and find some black dust in it don’t eat them! Many dates and also other dried fruits have crystallised sugar on them. This doesn’t indicate bad quality, it’s normal. You can eat them. Since dates have naturally a dark colour they are very rarely conserved with sulphur. However, double check the package for any hint.

Mazafati My personal favourite. Soft and a sweet taste. This date must come from heaven! Due to ice cold nights and the heat of the day this date has an exceptional softness. It will melt in your mouth!

Deglet Nour It’s a rather long date with a golden colour. It is semi-soft and has a defined sweetness. It’s pretty dry and not soft like the Mazafati Date.

Medjool It is certainly the most favourite date. This sort of dates is usually pretty large and rather very sweet.

Important Information Too Much Fluid As I have already said, too much fluid is stressing your kidneys, therefore drink only when you are thirsty. Your body knows when it needs fluid. Keep in mind that hydration doesn’t come from more „water in the body“ but rather from alkalisation, in other words, bringing more minerals into your body and expelling more acids through your eliminative organs. Dried fruits are perfect to bind excessive water in your body since they are often dehydrated.

Too Intense Detox If you feel that this protocol is too intense for you, slow down. I would recommend reducing the astringent elements. That means less pulling herbs and astringent juices or fruits. There are other options like eating cooked foods. I would recommend steamed/ baked veggies, but only when it is necessary.

Too Much Dry Fasting Some people suggest that more dry fasting is better. I personally think that daily dry fasting is very beneficial. When it comes to longer ones, however, I tend to not recommend them. They are very exhaustive because they deplete your bodies glycogen tank. Consequently, your body has to use body tissue for energy purposes. That is not ideal. I would not dry fast longer than 36 hours. Personally, I had been doing weekly 4day dry fasts for a month and couldn’t see any benefits from it.

Poor Sugar Metabolism (Decreased Insulin Sensitivity and Diabetes) Some people are afraid that the high sugar intake of fruit will worsen their sugar metabolism issues. However, this protocol, herbs and fruit in general, will heal you from this condition. The main problem in diabetes is the hypofunction of your pancreas. It produces too small amounts of insulin which is necessary to transport glucose to the cells. In almost all cases this pancreatic weakness is due to poor adrenal function. Therefore get on adrenal and pancreatic herbs or even a glandular. All other diets will only worsen your condition, creating fungal issues and further weakening. Your adrenal and pancreatic function will improve over time. As a result your insulin sensitivity will rise. You won’t have to take big amounts of additional (pharmaceutical) insulin. That’s why you will have to adjust the dosage. I recommend to work with your physician to prevent any problems.

Teeth Damage People often claim that fruits can cause teeth damage. But often other factors like a weak parathyroid, therefore low calcium levels, weaken the teeth. To make sure that your teeth don’t get damaged by this protocol you can use good known strategies like drinking juices through a straw and rinsing your mouth/brushing your teeth after every meal. Until now, I haven’t experienced any problems doing this protocol.







 Another point I want to talk about is citrus fruits. This topic got more popular recently. It is true that unripe citrus fruit can damage the teeth because of their high acid content. But also other acid or sub-acid fruits can do that when they are not ripe for consumption. People that ate an unripe pineapple or mango know what I mean. 
 Make sure that you get high-quality ripe fruit and you won’t have any teeth issues. Oranges, for example, shouldn’t have an acidic taste to them. They should have a smooth and soft flavour. Keep in mind that citrus fruits are one of the best cleansers, but if you can’t find any good quality produce elude to other fruits.

Oxalates in Fruit „The immense kidney filtration you get from eating dates and figs is only due to the high oxalate amount!“ That is what some people think. However, is this true? Oxalates are connections between certain minerals and oxalic acid. For us humans, they are hard to break down. About 90 % of the ingested oxalic compounds, which aren’t broken down in the human digestive tract, are expelled out of the body through the urinary system. Therefore some say that the immense kidney filtration that you get on dried fruits are simply oxalates that are being expelled out of the body. However, this is not true. Figs have 9 mg of oxalates per 100 grams, dates about 24 mg. To have a comparable number we can add oranges or raspberries, which have about 37 and 48 mg. If this sediment came from oxalates, then people would have had great filtration on oranges only too (that doesn't mean that oranges are bad!). But, as we know, people often do not have the best filtration doing orange juice fasts. Of course, many other fruits have oxalates amounts near to 0 mg, but still, figs are comparably low in them. Keep in mind that nutrients, also oxalates, are concentrated in dried fruit. Spinach, on the other hand, has far higher amounts of oxalates, about 650 mg per 100 grams. According to the quote given above, you would have to have great filtration on spinach and other greens, which are naturally high in this substance. But again, this isn’t the case. White rice doesn’t have oxalates, if you eat it, you will get tremendous filtration. And lastly, people would not heal so quickly when the sediment in the urine would only be chemical compounds consisting of minerals and oxalates. Don’t worry about oxalates. Fruits have far smaller amounts than other foods. Just enjoy them!

The Importance of Exercising Your body needs movement. While detoxing, most people say it is better to not exercise because your body won’t prioritise healing. But the truth is that there are too many benefits to disregard exercising. Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a ‚pump‘ like your circulatory system has. The lymphatic fluid flows because of osmotic pressure, partly due to your blood circulation, and due to muscle contraction. Since the goal in detoxification is to move old stagnant lymph you have to brace these two factors, exercising is the best tool for this. While





doing sports your muscles have an increased requirement for oxygen and nutrients. Your circulatory system has to pump more blood through your body to deliver more resources to your muscle tissue. Your pulse will rise and your blood pressure will increase slightly. This leads to an increased osmotic pressure which then starts to move lymph. Also, the muscle contraction while exercising will stimulate proper lymphatic flow. As a consequence, your lymphatic flow will be enhanced which leads to a improved detoxification. Also, your tissue oxygen supply is optimised which leads to a reduction of anaerobic metabolic processes, in other words, this means that your body is producing fewer acids. Therefore, if your kidneys are filtering consistently, you should incorporate regular exercising into your lifestyle. Even though some people will be slightly weak while detoxing in the beginning, you can do several kinds of sports like running, swimming, rebounding, cycling and many others. If you feel totally fit you can even try to weight training like me. I am doing body weight exercises and some powerlifting disciplines like deadlifting. Not only am I feeling stronger every weak, I am also building nice lean muscle and detoxing strongly. Try out what suits you the best but of course, this isn’t a must. Stretching is another great practice. Your muscles will be stimulated which leads to an overall better circulation and nutrient supply. Acids, which weren’t eliminated previously, will be able to drain into the lymphatic system. You can do static and active stretching. I consider Yoga as really helpful. Did you ever wonder why people have muscle tensions? It is caused by stagnant acids in your muscle tissue which couldn’t be eliminated properly. This weakened muscles can’t ensure your natural posture. When your muscle tissue will regenerate, your posture will automatically recur into the right position.

Deep Breathing No, it’s not the kind of deep breathing you have if you smell some good food! When you aren’t breathing deeply into your belly, you are doing something wrong. Your body is designed for deep breathing and this requires proper diaphragm contraction. This is a muscle movement which pulls air into your lungs. Now, you are using your whole lung capacity which allows your for proper oxygen absorption. Every cell in your body will benefit from that. To ensure that you are breathing in deeply you should observe the process in the mirror. Your breast shouldn’t extend, your belly should. Some people even feel a stretch in their pelvic muscles. Another benefit of deep breathing is the stimulation of your hypothalamus which leads to calmness. Your nervous system will send the information to your brain that you are in a relaxed state. As a consequence, specific hormones will be secreted which will help the adrenals to reduce stress hormone production. They will be able to produce useful hormones like cortisol and also neurotransmitters. This is especially helpful for those with weakened adrenal glands and a compromised nervous system.





Weak Adrenals And Kidneys - Low Sodium Levels Cause Kidney Filtration Problems Although too much sodium in our body is not desirable there is still a need for this important electrolyte. It is necessary for maintaining a proper fluid level, powering the nervous system and for producing adequate amounts of urine. Sodium is the component which increases or decreases blood pressure by pulling water into the bloodstream. That’s why your adrenals have to regulate the blood sodium levels to maintain the right blood pressure. If your body’s „sensors“ detect abnormal sodium levels they will send a signal to the adrenal glands which will consequently increase or decrease the release of a special hormone so that excess sodium can be eliminated or retained by the kidneys. This mechanism his highly important for the kidney function since blood pressure, and consequently, lymph pressure is needed to have proper kidney filtration. When you suffer from weak adrenals, this mechanism won’t work properly. If you detoxify, you won’t have the high salt intake from a cooked food diet. Slowly, your body will lose sodium which will lead to several problems like improper kidney function. To overcome this problem, it is needed to strengthen the adrenals and the kidneys with herbal formulas and detoxification so your body doesn’t lose too much sodium. In the short term, you can eat sodium-rich foods in small amounts. I like to recommend celery (juice or whole). You can also eat algae like dulse or kelp but be sure that you get highquality products that are not contaminated with toxins from the oceans. Salt is also allowed, but only in small amounts. Look for high-quality natural salt like Himalayan salt. But this is only symptom treating. To overcome this problem completely you will need to strengthen the adrenals and kidneys.

My Personal Protocol Here is a short overview of my daily detox protocol. There are many possibilities of doing the regimen. You can choose between a wide variety of dried and astringent fruit. Adjust the dry fasting window and the eating times to your needs. I have been following this specific routine for more than 2 months now, with great success!

Since I haven’t felt any benefits from longer dry fasts I stick to daily dry fasting for about 15 hours. My fast usually starts at 9 p.m. and ends at 12 p.m. In that time I shower, brush my teeth and wash my hands. In my opinion, avoiding water during a dry fast is not necessary. It doesn’t affect kidney filtration in a bad way.

Dates After I have finished my dry fast, I start out with eating dates. The daily amount I eat is about 600 to 1000 grams (one package for me). Divided by two sittings this makes 300 to 500 grams for each. However, you can eat as much as you want. It can be hard to fit more meals into your eating window. From my experience, it was better to start out with dried fruit to enhance filtration.

After I eat my dried fruits I wait for about 1 to 2 hours to take my herbs (not the GI Broom yet). I am currently taking kidney and adrenal formulas, gland and parasite herbs. After taking herbs you should wait for about 15 to 30 minutes.

After eating dates and taking herbs I c o n t i n u e m y p ro t o c o l w i t h t h e lemonade. In each sitting (two in total), I drink approximately one litre. However, as said before, only drink when you are thirsty.

You can see that I take my herbs 3 times daily. Twice after each date meal and once after the second lemonade. Right before my dry fast starts, I take the GI Broom.

Don’t force yourself to consume more fluids when you don’t have to. You should wait for about one hour before eating again.

Q&A Section • „In which forms do you recommend to take herbs?“ It really depends on the case. Tinctures have dissolved herbal phytochemicals. They are absorbed much quicker and can reach further regions of your body to support specific glands, organs and tissues. People with a malabsorption should preferably take tinctures. Capsules and powders are great to pull on the lymphatic system but need to be digested and absorbed. For people with a weak digestion, they can be problematic. However, capsules and powders are usually more effective. When starting detoxification, I would favourably take tinctures and complement later with other forms. A mixture of both is often the best choice, that’s why a herbal protocol from a practitioner is very helpful.

• „What do you think about coconut water and sugar cane juice?“ They are both really good because of the high mineral content. You can use it to fill up the lemonade or to substitute your fruit juices. Both are far better than plain water.

• „How long should I do the protocol?“ As long as you want. You can do it for a few days, weeks or months. Of course, it is needed to do it for a longer time to see big changes in health. Anyway, this protocol is one of the best I have done so far.
