The Environmental Regulatory Agency requires that all wastewater generated be piped to a centralized treatment plant for treatment before discharging to a water receiving body. As an environmental engineering consultant, you are asked to propose a sewer system needed for conveying all wastewater generated from the proposed development to a centralized treatment system (located about 5 km downstream of the proposed development) for treatment. The following information is required by the Environmental Regulatory Agency: 1. Estimated quantities of wastewater generated from the various types of housing developments. 2. Key considerations/assumptions used for estimating wastewater generation. 3. Propose an appropriate sewer system needed to convey wastewater generated from the various types of housing development to the centralized treatment system (consisting of tributary sewers and the trunk sewer). 4. A schematic diagram for the proposed sewer system. Deadline: 7 March 2011
