sieben, von dem Komponisten Die Kontrabaf3-Variante dieses'S7erkes - d.h. eignen sich und dem Herausgeber ausgewdhlten und empfohlenen Sàtze sowohl firr den Konzertgebrauch als auch fúr Studienzwecke . Vom Gesichtspunkt des \lohlklangs und der Spielbarkeit aus betrachtet bieten diese Sàtze auch auf dem Kontrabaf3 gute Vortragsmóglichkeiten. Die von mir empfohlenen und angegebenen Fingersàtze sowie die dynamischen Bezeichnungen mógen an mancher Stelle unlogisch erscheinen, ergeben sich jedoch aus den musikalischen Ansprùchen des \Terkes und sind in jedem Fall educativen Charakters.

The double bass variant of this work which includes seven movements selected and recommended by the composer and the editor are suitable for concert performance and study as well. \7ith regard to euphony and playing qualities these movements may be also played on the double bass. The included fingerings and dynamic markings are recommanded by me and, though they may seem illogical sometimes, they derive from the musical demands of the work and are always of educational character.
