SUPER 1800-2 as Spray Finisher with SprayJet ► Consistent shot rate across the complete working width (up to 5m or 15 ft). ► Regulated shot rate from 0,2 kg/m2 allows you to shoot a minimal amount of emulsion in a very economical way. ► A very low and constant spray pressure (3 bar) minimizes fumigation and facilitates a uniform spray pattern. ► Shot rates from 0,2 to 1,0 kg/m2 is independent from the paving speed (2 m/min to 20 m/min = 6 ft/min to 60 ft/min). ► Perfect spray pattern by the use of double slotted Spray Nozzles. ► Easy to understand controls. ► Practical, automatic functions for “Spray-Start” and “Spray-Stop”.

Spray nozzles ¾Currently double slotted Spray Nozzles (Ø 2.5 mm) are in use! ¾Shot rates from 0,2 kg to max. 1,5 kg are possible when paving at 0 – 18 m/min. ¾ Depending to the height of the spray bar the spray cones are 110 – 130° ¾Opening the nozzles is controlled by compressed air. ¾A boot is installed behind the nozzle . ( The boot seals the nozzle against spilling of emulsion. The boot also allows the nozzle to be easily installed, no special tools )
¾All Spray Nozzles can be calibrated independently in the “Service Screens” / “Test Operation Screen”. Additionally, the nozzles can be operated manually (ON or OFF).

The operator can turn them on or off when needed (for example: when not spraying)
Spraying: The spray bars, located on each screed arm, are moved by a mechanical connection to the screed’s end gates. They are swivel mounted ! The degrees of the angles are measured permanently by a sensor. The spray nozzles shoot in intervals (interrupted spraying) The two lateral nozzles on the outside, left and right ( depending on the paving width ), can be controlled in the “screen menu” (e.g. paving close to a curb). © Training by Joseph Vögele AG Mannheim

Execute Spray Nozzle Test
¾Place appropriate container underneath the Nozzles. ¾Nozzle Control in Submenu Test must be selected. ¾The Submenu Preset Nozzles appears. ¾Select the required Nozzles in the Submenu Preset Nozzles. ¾The icons of the selected Nozzles are displayed in red color. ¾0.5b Liters of emulsion will be sprayed through the selected nozzles. ¾Measure the amount of emulsion in the container. ¾The checked nozzles will appear in green color in the submenu Preset Nozzles . ¾ The Spray Nozzle Test is done ¾IIf the amount in the container is less than the set value either the Switch Valve ot the Gaiter is worn out.

Technical Training for SUPER 1800-2 SJ with removable Spray Module 4.20 Electrical Emulsion Tank Heating
The Emulsion Tank is equipped with two 7kW Heating Elements. Based on the provided power from the generator, the elements are controlled automatically. Additionally, the Emulsion Pump is heated by four 0.25kW Heating elements. The set point for the Temperature is adjustable in the Display of the Spray Module. The heating elements in the emulsion tank are equipped with safety thermostats to prevent them from overheating. The setting is 90 C°, which is equal to 194 F.

Emulsion – Pressure Sensor ( Analog Display 0 – 10 bar )
Spray Pressure: A constant pressure of 3 bar ( 52 psi) is sustained in the spray circuit ! ( Spray pressure at the Nozzle approx. 1 bar (14 psi) Advantage: Minor Fumigation, less soiling ! Accurate working ! Depending on the Paving Speed and the Shot Rate, the Rpm‘s of the Spray Pump is controlled by the Electronics. ( Manual Engagement of the Spray Process is only necessary when using the Hand-Spray-Lance or as an emergency mode when the Pressure Sensor fails).

Angle Transmitter This Signal determines how far the screed is extended on the respective side. Depending on the working width the Nozzles are controlled (ON/OFF) automatically. Due to the failure of one of the Angle Transmitters a Fault message appears on the screen of the Spray Module. To run the Spray Module without the sensor and therefore without the electronic control, the Module must be switched to „Manual“ and the paving speed and paving width must be inputted, then the job can be continued with minor restrictions. © Training by Joseph Vögele AG Mannheim
