As an a l t e r n a t i v e t h e q u a n t i t y o f p e w t e r mugs c a n be c o n s i d e r a b l y r e d u c e d i f a number o f m e t a l mirrors (concave) are i n s e r t e d i n glass p o t s . T h i s was u s e d by s e v e r a l o v e r s e a s m a g i c i a n s and i s e x t r e m e l y s u i t a b l e f o r p r e s e n t a t i o n when t h e r e a r e p l e n t y o f a s s i s t a n t s t o come on w i t h p o t s e t c on t r a y s and t o l e a v e t h e m on t h e t a b l e and " c l e a r away" t h e m i r r o r g l a s s e s when t h e y a r e n o t w a n t e d .
