Introduction: Thank you very much for getting my 1010 Marking System! 1010 Marking System is a reliable playing card marking system for creating a marked deck that is easy to read and understand, and the best of all, invisible to your spectator. Easily identify each card at a glance.

I hope that you will enjoy this marking system as much as I did. Requirements: Bicycle Deck Rider Back Colored Marker (same color of the back of the card) The explanation of the markings in this book uses Bicycle Rider Back. Once you have learned the principle of the marking system, you can apply it to other decks as well.
Marking the Cards Same color marker should be used to mark the cards for obvious reasons. I find the whiteboard markers having close resemblance to the color of a bicycle card. Try experimenting before applying the markings on the whole deck. Mark the back of an adverting card or joker that usually comes with the deck of cards. Make sure to wait until the ink dries before checking out the finish color.
Location of the Markings 1. 2. 3. 4.
The marking on the cards are found at the back of the cards and on the sides of the angel rider. The left side of the rider tells you the value of the card. The right side of the rider tells you the suit of the card. The markings are found on both top and bottom of the card.

The Marking System Value of the Card The Value of the card is found in the left side of the rider. The value is determined by the sum of each mark. The marking system uses the binary principle. Each mark represents 1-2-4-8 respectively. If you still have problem memorizing the sequence of the binary system, you just need to multiply the number by two:
Starts with 1 1x2=2 2x2=4 2x4=8
The 3rd bird from the left side will be removed as you will use the left handle bar as the 4 th

Ace represented by 1 and the picture cards (Jack, Queen, King) are represented by 11, 12, and 13 respectively. I do not mark the Joker.

The value of the card will be the sum of the marks found in the left side of the rider. If it is a single mark, then it will be just either of the four designated values (1,2,4,8).

Suit of the Card The marking of the suit is found on the right side of the rider. The suit is determined by counting at the number of mark found. It is very easy to memorize since each number can be associated to each suit.
