In 2006, NEMO began adapting its shelter technology for elite U.S. Special Operations Forces and launched its Shield™ product line. In the years since, many elite Warfighters have depended on NEMO tents, shelters, sleeping gear, weapons bags, and other products to take full advantage of what limited comfort and protection can be found on the battlefield. NEMO AirSupported Technology® was developed by NEMO's founder after his work on spacesuits and inflatable architecture for NASA. Every NEMO AST® tent comes with either the lightweight 3.6 oz foam-filled, welded fabric Nemoid™ Foot Pump or the compact 2.3 oz Integrated Pump. The Integrated Pump is a clever little device we call a “lung amplifier.” Basically, you blow into a small welded fabric pouch and squeeze, repeating this action for about 10 to 15 seconds until the airbeam is fully inflated. The squeezing action increases the air pressure to the 5 to 7 psi needed to make the airbeam very sturdy.

Hexalite™ SE 6P is an ideal shelter for units in need of large protected space. Whether used as a sunshade for a team looking for sun protection, a rain shelter for village stability operations, or a logistic node, Hexalite™ 6P SE is a versatile and roomy shelter. The standing height and cavernous interior combined with the open floor allows easy access without worrying about dirt or taking off boots. The Litter Bivy™ SE is a specialized shelter designed specifically for basket type litters to protect a wounded Warfighter from rotor wash, rain, snow and wind blow dust/ debris during transport without restricting access to the casualty.

The Helio™ Pressure Shower SE provides an innovative way to employ pressurized water in a free-standing, rugged, portable package for the many needs of the Warfighter. With Helio™ SE, daily showers, gear cleanup, and basic field sanitation is simple and quick. • The Helio™ SE comes in a small, neatly nested kit, weighs less than a liter of water, and provides 5 to 7 minutes of steady and satisfying water pressure. • Unlike conventional gravity-fed, hanging shower systems, the Helio™ SE system uses an 11 liter welded fabric water tank pressurized by a foot pump. • To use the system, you simply fill up the water tank, let it warm in the sun, set the tank on the ground, then step on the foot pump a few times.
