RECREATION AND NATURE  INTRODUCTION Recreation or fun is the expenditure of time in a manner designed for therapeutic refreshment of one's body or mind. While leisure is more likely a form of entertainment or sleep, recreation is active for the participant but in a refreshing and diverting manner. A time in which individuals are not compelled to do anything, and are free to choose to relax or to take part in a leisure activity. Leisure has important social functions, including relief from the demands and restrictions of work. Most people enjoy socializing with friends for dinner or a drink after a hard day at work. For many young people, having a regular night out a week is a normal part of their free time, whether it is joining friends for a drink in a pub, dining out in a restaurant, watching a film, playing video games or dancing at a club. Types of leisure Active leisure activities involve the exertion of physical or mental energy. Low-impact physical activities include walking and yoga, which expend little energy and have little contact or competition. High-impact activities such as kick-boxing and football consume much energy and are competitive. Some active leisure activities involve almost no physical activity, but do require a substantial mental effort, such as playing chess or painting a picture. Active leisure and recreation overlap significantly.

Passive leisure activities are those in which a person does not exert any significant physical or mental energy, such as going to the cinema, watching television, or gambling on slot machines. Some leisure experts discourage these types of leisure activity, on the grounds that they do not provide the benefits offered by active leisure activities. For example, acting in a community drama (an active leisure activity) could build a person's skills or self-confidence. Nevertheless, passive leisure activities are a good way of relaxing for many people.  AIMS & OBJECTIVES

Musholm Bay Holiday centre

The expansion of resort is divided into two sections in the form of a multi-purpose sports hall and a number of new holiday flats. More images and architects’ description after the break.the sports hall is located at the heart of the resort, while the flats are located in the periphery. In this way, the activities spread in ever-widening circles from the sports hall to the flats by which the expansion provides a dynamic layout for the future resort. In addition, the layout offers panoramic views of the bay and the scenic surroundings from the sports hall and the flats.

It is the bar for socially sustainable architecture by providing all visitors, whether they are disabled or not, the opportunity for active and attractive holiday experiences.

The holiday resort breaks with the ordinary. The multi-purpose sports hall includes an activity ramp which provides visitors, whether they are disabled or not, the opportunity to challenge themselves physically. The activity ramp offers a wide range of platforms and activity spots, including a climbing wall for wheelchair users. Based on the sports hall’s many activities, the expansion fortifies Musholm Bay Holiday Resort as a place that breaks with the ordinary and invites people with disabilities to play, participate and create new friendships.

In this way, the expansion not only carries on the resort’s architectural quality and atmosphere. The expansion also raises the bar for socially sustainable architecture by providing all visitors, whether they are disabled or not, the opportunity to enjoy an active and physically challenging holiday. Thus, the expansion sets new standards for how accessible solutions can be implemented into architectureand how architecture can be infused with a distinctive sensuousness in order to create a safe, comfortable and engaging environment.

AQUA MARINE PARK 2.1 INTRODUCTION The Aqua marine park is a park consisting of an area of sea (or lake) sometimes protected for recreational use, but more often set aside to preserve a specific habitat and ensure the ecosystem is sustained for the organisms that exist there. Although for many uses it is sufficient to designate the boundaries of the marine park and to inform commercial fishing boats and other maritime enterprises, some parks have gone to additional effort to make their wonders accessible to visitors. These can range from glass-bottomed boats and small submarines, to windowed undersea tubes. The development will provide a space for the local community to come together and connect on multiple levels, there can be a changing spectrum of activities, from the most

casual and personal moments to group events, family moments and formal group celebrations.

It is his own turn to contribute to the symbiotic relationship.  Educating people in this respect and stressing the urgency of conservation would not be better achieved than through entertainment.  Thus proposals like this go a long way in educating people through entertainment to make them realize their responsibilities towards other life forms.

2.4 SCOPE OF THE PROJECT…..  India has very few aquatic centers and as such there is a need to boost the same. India has a wide region covered underwater and has coastal areas app. 1/3 of it.  Hence it has a relation with water and marine life since the beginning so it is necessary to create awareness among the people and provide a superficial platform to interact with the aquatic life.  The scope would be to create awareness about marine and aquatic life.
