Short Form 1     

THEME: Retreating with front hand blocking 4 main directions 12, 3, 6, 9 o clock Plus sign pattern 4 main directions of blocks Up, down, In, Out High Kneel to Neutral Bow Rotation

Long Form 1        



Definition: Upper Body Torque THEME: Retreating with a Front Hand Block and a Rear Hand Counter; Blocking with the Rear Hand; Hand Isolations. 4 main directions X 2. 12, 9, 3, 6 then 6, 3, 9, 12 Introduction of the forward on the counter cross o High kneel to neutral bow to forward bow Cut the circle on the transition to the 1 st downward block to 6. Later used in short 2 Introduce blocking with the back hand o High Kneel to neutral bow AND neutral bow to high kneel rotation Introduce the idea of the triples Hand isolation is the introduction of new blocks to be used in Long 2 o Horse Stance o Inside downward palm up and palm down and push down Hammer, thrusting, hammering inward blocks at the beginning and in the second half

Short Form 2      

Definition: Cat Stance Form OR Wall Form THEME: Advancing with front hand block; front and rear hand counters, utilizing body momentum, rotation, and gravitational marriage. Introduce Blocking WITH Countering 4 new counters o Outward chop, Middle knuckle rake, Heel palm, and half fist Start the diagonals Work on the back half of the X pattern o Never go beyond (towards 12) the starting line (3 to 9 line) established by the horse stance New extended outward block Use the circle cut from Long 1 on the 2 nd downward block Wide Kneel introduced

Long Form 2    



 

   

THEME: Advancing and Blocking then/with combination counters (Sophisticated Basics) Combination counters up until the downward block sequence finishes Completion of the X pattern in front of the initial starting line established by the horse stance Reusing idea of triples. 3 times o Eye pokes o Back knuckles o Push down block sequence Category completion o In long 1, block then punch o In long 2, punch then block Twist stances stepping into a neutral bow o Both forward and backward Reuse the new 3 blocks from the end of Long 1 o Reuse idea of Long 1 with these 3 blocks  Retreat with the two inside downward blocks then a single counter Horse stance again to foreshadow what is next for the Forms o Main weapon of Short 3 is elbows The first kick in the forms Close kneel introduced Outward downward block stepping down the circle vs Inside downward block palm down stepping up the circle

Short Form 3   

Definition: First Technique form o 11 ideal side, 2 non ideal side Main weapon is elbows Attacks fall into 5 categories: o Grabs o Chokes o Locks o Hugs o Holds Main stance is a forward bow Crossing talon is done on both sides due to crossed twigs 13 Techniques performed

Long Form 3  

Often referred to as another "Grab Attacks" form, Long 3 builds on Short 3 and increase the number and sophistication of self defense techniques grabs, chokes, and locks. 11 Techniques performed
