Preface

Remedia Gives A Blessing This simple little book is about growing your own practice in your own way and using the most important ingredient of all --Love. We’re often asked if we’re “Gurus” or “Enlightened.” I always say, “I’m just a guy that likes to meditate.” Remedia doesn’t just like to meditate –she LOVES meditating. We don’t follow a set tradition or religion. That’s too confining for the blissful freedom that meditation brings. We’ve just taken what works for us out of whatever tradition we found it in –without the ritual and dogma that kills the living Spiritual essence. Rules and “Don’t do this,” or “Don’t do that,” kill spontaneity, joy and FUN. The fastest way to grow your meditation and healing practice is to receive initiations, or empowerments, from a teacher who has them already. You instantly gain the ability to do what your teacher can do.

We all do our spiritual growth work in the same Universe, follow the same stages of growth, and use the same human form. What differs are the choices we make along the way and our individual perceptions of the experiences we have. These differences allow each of us to enjoy a unique growth experience while arriving at the same goal of realization, just like everyone else does. You are welcome to use this manual as a linear 1, 2, 3 guide. Or you can treat it as a general collection of methods from which you should choose the ones that work best for you, the ones that fit into where you are on your path. Please, be very careful to build an extremely strong connection to Mother Earth before attempting ANY other work. Building a strong DAILY practice is the most important aspect after love. Without practicing daily, you will fail. You will also find it very useful to cleanse and heal yourself thoroughly before going on into the higher meditations in Becoming A Master and Creating Eternity, the next books in this series. They guide you through gaining realization and creating a body of pure light to live in for eternity. All of the meditations and exercises here require initiations to bring them to life. Many of these are extremely difficult or expensive to find. Please contact us to receive any initiations that you may need help with. Shaktipat-meditation.org

1. Before You Begin

The path forward into a blissful existence in healing love and light can be gloriously beautiful. The energy realms contain indescribably wonderful sounds, colors and experiences that simply don’t exist in our physical world. But existence here, with suffering as a goad, enables us to make faster Spiritual progress than being anywhere else in our immense Universe. The fastest way to progress here and now is to receive energy transmissions from your teacher’s mind directly into your mind and energy system. You immediately become able to do the same meditations and work with the same energies that she can. This makes it possible for you to build a strong, solid meditation and healing practice very quickly. Here’s how it works.

1 --Your teacher gives you an empowerment enabling you to meditate in a certain state or work with a particular energy. 2 –You do the practice your teacher assigns. If you do not do the practice, you will quickly lose the beautiful gift your teacher has worked so hard to give you. The grace, love and wisdom of your teacher allows you to share her advanced state of spiritual growth. She simply gives to you what she already has. She can do it with a look, a touch or a thought. All beings on our planet are in a process of spiritual growth that eventually leads to a beautiful metamorphism into pure light. Some of us know it; most of us are unaware. Of those who do know, only a few are practicing consciously and whole heartedly. Many aspire to practice, but they lack the clear path forward that they need. A series of Shaktipat and Deeksha transmissions, given by a teacher who has already traveled the way, can open the door to conscious, eternal life for you. The teacher will place her ability to work with a meditation, or an energy, into your mind. It is then up to you, the student, to realize and practice the beautiful gift your loving teacher has given you. Realizing the teaching can come immediately, years later, or never, depending on two factors. The first is karma. It may take the energy of the transmission a long time to work its way through ignorance and the accumulated negative energies of past wrong actions. Or, if karma is good, realization can come instantly, like a bolt of lightning. The second factor is the student’s personal practice. If she follows her teacher’s instructions, and she has a strong daily practice, she will realize and keep teachings. With little or no practice, teachings are quickly lost.

Each of the meditations and energy exercises in this book are presented because it performs a particular function better than others. However, there is a good measure of overlap. With the transformational energies, Ilahinoor works better than Deeksha on the crucially important lower chakras, but Deeksha clears and opens the mind quicker. Ilahinoor also works better than Deeksha to transform negative energies as they release, but Deeksha is better and faster at releasing these blocks. Using Deeksha and Ilahinoor together may be optimal.

Love is the most important energy to master. Love is vital to your growth and success.

2. Our Universe

A very basic knowledge of the Universe’s structure from a spiritual point of view will help you understand the big picture. You can then plan your growth to maximize your efforts without getting lost or trapped along the way to your realization and then ascension. In reality, every aspect of the Universe exists right here right now and is immediately accessible to an awakened mind. However, the intellectual mind requires some imposed structure to grasp onto. You can think of the Universe as being astral planes, different dimensions, different worlds or progressively finer layers of energy. You may choose to visualize our Earth and all physical matter as being in the middle of the different realms. Those realms below us are the lower realms containing the different hells and the realm of hungry ghosts, also called demons and evil spirits.

In the realms above are many places and beings --angels, demigods, Gods, Ascended Masters, heavens, paradise, Buddha lands and other ‘good’ places. Most of know that we want to avoid the lower realms. Using energy in greed, desire or when in an emotional state of anger, sadness or fear takes us down. The upper realms can become an even bigger trap than the lower ones because they’re so beautiful. We think we’re on the right path when we’re in light and glory. It’s very easy to spend entire lifetimes in the beautiful company of angels, Masters in spiritual form or demigods who are still growing themselves. These beings can easily lead us astray because they haven’t yet attained their own realization. Those of us on Earth, in physical bodies, have a unique opportunity. Because we are complete beings with all five bodies --physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual-- we can, in one lifetime, transcend the entire gamut of planes, breaking the cycle of life, death and rebirth. We do this by going beyond those lovely upper realms into emptiness. Emptiness seems frightening because there is nothing there except the death of your ego, your individual personality. We break the cycle of life, death and rebirth by experiencing death in emptiness. This feels like real death, but it’s only the death of your ego. A part of you does remain conscious through this process of ego death. This is the eternal you --that part of you that you have been seeking. The base of our Universe is emptiness or nothing. There really is nothing there. Out of this void, or emptiness, comes the most basic energy particles existing. These particles, called Shakti, combine with universal awareness, or I Am, to create all phenomenon in our Universe.

After your individual ego dies in the void, you become able to merge with I Am intelligence and use the basic energy particles to create real structures that last for eternity. Structures like an energy body that will never die, giving your conscious mind a dwelling place for all time. To get to and through emptiness, you MUST surrender, or give up, everything in this Universe. All of your five bodies, including your awareness, everything you’ve worked for spiritually, everything you’ve learned or built in this world, angels, Goddesses, your teachers —all must go. All is dissolved away in nothingness. Cleansed of all, you become able to begin perceiving and working in reality. From this beginning, you’ll be able to spend the rest of your physical life building real, permanent structures, going deeper and gaining new abilities.

3. What is Subtle Energy?

All realms, including our physical world, are made up of subtle energies. Subtle energy is composed of energy particles too fine to be observed or measured by modern science. Our minds have something that science does not. We have the ability to observe, control and transform these tiny energy particles. Scientists are spending billions of dollars and are working very hard to detect subtle energy particles. The supercollider at Cern, Switzerland, giant dark energy detection devices in Italy and the United States, and experiments in Great Brittan are all focused on observing subtle energy.

Physicists working in the twenty-first century tell us that everything science can observe makes up only four percent of our entire Universe. The other ninety-six percent is composed of subtle energy. All matter is composed of subtle energies in different combinations vibrating at different frequencies.

Physical matter is what you can see with your eyes. The subtle realms you can learn to see with your mind. Reiki is the safest, easiest place to begin learning.

4. Twelve Levels of Spiritual Growth

These levels came from the writings of Vivekananda, a Yogi who taught a hundred years ago. Here, they’ve been modified with my comments to render them more understandable to present day readers. These steps are usually experienced by most practitioners. It’s common to be growing in several levels at once. Levels may be experienced in a different order than listed here. Some practitioners never consciously experience some levels. Some traditions focus completely on God while others ignore God and go into oneness. There are many differences in opinion and perspective about the higher levels of samadhi. The levels are presented here as a general guide. 1 --Understanding the purpose of our existence. We are spiritual beings enjoying an earthly experience, not human beings searching for a spiritual experience. You attain this level when you consciously begin your spiritual work. 2 –Seeing the suffering of others

When you begin seeing past your own selfishness to the needs of others, you begin wanting to help them. You start expanding. 3 --Removing the suffering of others. Consciously working to heal, help and teach others gives you the fastest growth. 4 --Finding passion, peace and love. When we work selflessly for others, we become very passionate about our practice and work. We also discover peace in ourselves and universal love. 5 --Conversion of negative energies to positive. Anger, fear, sadness, negative thoughts and entities striking your aura are transformed to love by the love emanating from you. 6 --Opening the Third Eye. Your psychic abilities awaken and grow. It’s important to note that this is usually a gradual process. 7 --Bliss. You experience limitless joy. You become able find happiness in all circumstances because bliss wells up from your internal being and is not dependent on external circumstances. 8 --The Source. You experience your direct connection to the Supreme Being, also called Allah, Jehovah and God the Father. 9 --Becoming The Source. You become an inexhaustible source of energy because you are one with God. 10 --Oneness.

You experience that our entire Universe is one conscious, living, intelligent organism, with no division or separation. Everything is one very alive energy field. 11. Nothingness. Your complete being, all your experiences and creations dissolve away completely into emptiness. All ego based mind structures disappear. You become able to experience reality and create real structures. 12 --Nirvana, or nether being or non being Experiencing this state destroys all the concepts about it. Then you simply know. It cannot be explained in terms understandable to the intellectual mind.

5. Building Your Practice

A strong spiritual practice and a strong energy practice are best combined into one daily practice that grows until it consumes every waking and sleeping moment of your life. When you’re able to remain in a state of oneness with the energy fields and all living beings, every thought you have, every action you take, is exactly the right one. Listed below are the four major components of a successful practice. 1 --Karma is what you bring with you to the practice. It’s the sum of all the positive and negative energies you’ve accumulated. 2 --Empowerments come from your teachers and open your mind to successive levels of knowing. 3 --Spiritual connections to the Deities of your choice give you sources of power and inspiration. 4 --Daily practice keeps you growing.

Teachers can help with cleansing negative karma and energies. They can give you empowerments. You choose your spiritual path and the Deities you want to connect with. Above all you MUST do your daily practice. There are five types of practice that work very well. 1 --Meditation In meditation you simply sit quietly observing. The Buddha used this method to reach enlightenment. 2 --Chanting Chanting focuses your mind on the Deity or energy associated with the chant. You can chant a mantra, a prayer, a name or a sound. As you chant, you may find your mind slipping very easily into a meditative state. Practitioners from all traditions use chanting successfully. 3 --Energy work You use your mind to observe and control subtle energy. Taoists, Yogis and Tibetan Buddhists use this method. It’s very fast, but it can be dangerous. It’s easy to develop pride and begin misusing the energy. 4 --Prayer You enter into communion with the Deity of your choice, talking and listening. Many Muslim, Christian and Jewish practitioners have achieved Sainthood using prayer. 5 --Contemplation You sit quietly focused in the glory of God, a Saint or an icon. This is a favorite of Christian monks and nuns. Your practice can be a combination of any of the methods above, but doing that practice daily is extremely important.

Many practitioners discard religion altogether as being dead or not working. They’re left with an energy practice but no guiding light or structure. They’re often confused and go from one teacher or practice to another without making much real progress. They easily fall prey to aliens or spirits channeling information that may not be completely beneficial. Just because they’re spirits doesn’t mean they’re realized. The major spiritual paths have all stood the test of time and have proven beneficial to generations of practitioners. You can be a Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist or a combination of these. It’s not important which path you choose. If you know love, you know God. The universal truths are the same in all religions with only minor differences in beliefs, rituals and techniques. What is important is recognizing that the core of every religion is love and spiritual energy work. All of today’s religions originated out of the teachings of powerful energy practitioners focused in love. Most religious followers either lose or never find a living energy connection to the Divine. They become ensnared in ritual, dogma and empty practices. A strong daily energy practice, rooted in love and gratitude and focused on the Deity of your choice, will keep you centered on your spiritual path and growing daily. You could build your core practice around Buddhism, and still be strongly connected to a guru. You could love walking into any church, temple or mosque you come upon to renew your connection to the Divine. You may choose to practice an eclectic mix of Taoism, Tibetan Buddhism and Raja Yoga. You may prefer to avoid religious buildings altogether, but feel very inspired in certain ones. Or you may connect best to the Divine in Nature. Whatever spiritual path you choose, practice every day without fail.

In the beginning, you’ll need at least thirty minutes morning and evening for this. You may be surprised to find yourself becoming no longer interested in activities like watching TV, surfing the internet, playing electronic games, talking needlessly, etc. With dedicated daily work, your practice will grow until it consumes every moment of your life, waking and sleeping. When you reach this stage, miracles happen daily in your life and in the lives of all you touch. Practitioners fall into two groups. Group One --The Successful Practitioners This smaller group is made up of those who have a daily meditation habit. Teachers don’t have to be concerned with these practitioners. They just give the teachings and the practitioners do fine with few questions or problems. Daily meditators naturally work out any issues that arise in their practice themselves --just because they meditate daily. Their daily practice anchors them in one level before they receive the next teaching. This eliminates most problems. They remember what they’ve learned, and they can use it. They have the tools they need to take care of themselves. Group Two --The Dropouts The larger group is where the most problems occur. Nearly all of them will fail. These people don’t develop a daily meditation habit. Instead they have a long list of ever changing excuses about why they didn’t meditate and about the issues that arose that they can’t solve. They constantly want new levels that they can’t realize without having mastered the basics first. Also, they can’t deal with arising issues by themselves because they’ve forgotten how to use (or have never used) the techniques they need for problem solving.

It’s very much like a math class. If they haven’t mastered the basics by doing their homework, they simply can’t do the advanced work. They become frustrated, overwhelmed and dropout. Not many return to meditation because they failed once –they’ve had a bad experience. So sad. Listed below are ten aids that will help keep your practice strong and healthy. 1 --Daily Practice. A strong daily practice becomes a habit. Once the habit is formed, you just keep doing it naturally in the same way that you do the rest of your daily routine. 2 --A Set Time For Meditation. You probably have times to eat, sleep, work and perform most of the other functions of daily life. Set a time to meditate. Make it as much a part of your routine as brushing your teeth is. Morning is the best time to practice because your mind is fresh and uncluttered. Before bed is also good because it clears your mind of clutter, aiding in getting a peaceful night’s rest. 3 --A Meditation Space. You’ve got special spaces for your sleeping, your cooking and your toilet. Your meditation space is even more important than these basics. Your Spiritual growth is the only thing that you take with you at death. All the rest gets left behind. Create the best space possible for yourself to meditate in. 4 --Support Group. A supportive group of like-minded friends creates an invaluable group synergy that keeps you in the flow of meditation. You’ve got people around you to share the inevitable ups and downs with. 5 --Teachers. A good teacher takes the hard work out of meditation. She will be able to simply give you the next level by using her mind to entrain yours. You immediately become able to meditate in the same states that she does. Then all you have to do is practice every day to anchor the state in yourself.

6 --Practice Throughout the Day. The goal of every meditation practitioner should be samadhi. Samadhi is simply being in a state of awareness 24/7. Meditating or chanting whenever the opportunity presents itself during the day is a good way to increase your time in awareness. You can chant a mantra while driving, or you can just be totally focused in the present while washing dishes. It’s not that difficult to achieve samadhi with a good teacher and a strong practice. 7 --Going On Retreat. Retreats give you something to anticipate –kind of like a gambler anticipates his next trip to Las Vegas. Only on retreat, you’re assured that you will gain the benefits. Your practice will deepen. 8 --Reading About Meditation. Knowing about the lives of great practitioners, the struggles they went through and the heights they achieved gives you inspiration and the sure knowledge that others have done it before you. You can do it to. 9 --Having a Deity. Deities are a controversial subject. Choosing the one that suits you in the present is probably best. You can always change later. Your meditation practice doesn’t care what deity it is. You benefit from having an inexhaustible source of love, wisdom and power to draw on. 10 --Having Meditation Goals. Achievable goals give you inspiration to keep practicing and satisfaction on reaching them. Set both short term and long term goals. Maybe your short term goal is becoming able to sit for an hour. You set your timer for a few extra minutes each day. Your long term goal could be samadhi or building a rainbow light body. You keep reading about it and searching out the practices and teachers that will get you there. The best advice of all? Just keep doing your practice. Every Day!

6. Your Complete Being

You will need a basic understanding of all the facets of our wonderful beings to work on yourself and others effectively. We are far more than physical bodies. Humans also have mental, emotional, energetic and spiritual bodies that coexist in the same space at the same time. All five of our different bodies depend on each other and work together symbiotically in one complete energy field. 1—Physical 2—Emotional 3—Energetic 4—Spiritual 5—Mental The mental body has two areas –intellectual and awareness or left brain and right brain.

Our physical bodies are the easiest for us to experience while the intellectual area of our minds is often the most highly developed part of us. In our mad rush for knowledge and material success, the development of our awareness mind and our emotional, energetic and spiritual bodies often lags far behind our intellectual mind. Working with meditation and energy can begin the process of healing this imbalance. Any work you do in one body directly influences all the other bodies. Cleaning the aura and chakras lightens up the whole being. Releasing a suppressed emotion directly affects physical health issues. A Spiritual awakening brings a complete change mentally and emotionally. Chronic fatigue is often caused by a broken belt channel on Manipura chakra. Repairing it will stem the loss of precious personal energy. The person will have a dramatic improvement in energy levels for all purposes. With more vital energy there will be an emotional and mental shift for the better and the immune system will start functioning better. Breaking a negative thought pattern that generates sadness and fear and replacing it with a positive pattern that generates joy and peace will directly affect mood, motivation and energy levels for physical activities and improved health. The benefits don’t stop with the person who has been healed. They spread out in a ripple effect to family members, friends and coworkers.

7. The Human Mind

Meditation grows brain cells. This is the conclusion of a recent study at University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness. As you progress in meditation and healing energy work, the ganglia joining the two brain hemispheres grows and strengthens until you become able to be in both awareness and intellect at the same time. You no longer need to switch back and forth. This is Super Consciousness. Our modern society starts developing the intellectual, or thinking, part of our minds at a very young age. Most of us receive many years of education before even beginning to work. Our education not only prepares us to work, but gives us the ability to keep learning and growing as we work.

It’s because of our highly educated, intellectual, rational and logical minds that we have succeeded in building the world we all enjoy and work so hard for today. However, in Western style education, the awareness part of our minds is almost completely neglected. Sometimes it’s even ridiculed for not being “scientific” or “logical.” This is changing rapidly as more and more people become aware of subtle energies. It’s the awareness part of your mind that will awaken and grow as you work with subtle energy daily. Many of you possess great natural talents and abilities to use these energies. Others among you may have to practice more or will require more time to develop your awareness. Please be kind to yourself. Use your inner wisdom to see your situation clearly. Give yourself the time you need to enjoy unfolding like a lovely flower, growing naturally as you practice without using force or comparing yourself to others. In the Peruvian Amazon, shamans are chosen from those children who do not go to school. Their minds are clear of intellectual education. The awareness area develops quickly. Remedia didn’t attend school. Her shamanic education came from spending her childhood days with Grandma Pombai. She learned herbal healing, exorcism of evil spirits, using good spirits, reading human energy systems and calling subtle healing energies. The awareness part of her mind developed early and has never been clouded by formal education. I suffer from the same disability that most of you do. I have a university education and a couple of libraries stuffed into my mind. It required two years of daily Reiki practice and meditation before I even felt energy for the first time! The only thing that kept me practicing was that I could observe the effects of subtle energies on myself, even though I couldn’t feel the energies themselves.

Chronic pain from injuries caused by a motorcycle accident many years before was relieved every time Remedia used her healing energies on me. The relief was so great that I was able to stop taking pain and sleeping medication. Free of drugs, and able to rest naturally, both the intellectual and awareness areas of my mind cleared and started functioning better. All other areas of life improved for me as well. I became able to experience love, enjoy beauty and be happy. Many of you may have the same experience I did. You’ll be able to observe the effects of working with energy even though you can’t actually feel it. The trick, or key, is to simply let the energy flow through you, even if you can’t feel it, and then observe the effects. The effects will be a sense of relaxation and the lessening of pain. You may also feel warmth or tingling from the energy. Awareness takes time and practice to develop, just like reading books and using a computer took years to master. The benefits of mastering energy work can be even greater than the benefits your years of intellectual education have brought you.

8. Emotions

Being able to experience your emotions and having a good understanding of them is crucial to your success in meditation and healing. Emotions are an integral part of our beings. They cannot be denied or suppressed out of existence. They are as much a vital part of you as your heart or brain is. Emotions perform vital, necessary functions. They must be understood, experienced, known and worked with. It’s when emotions are suppressed instead of being experienced that big problems develop in other areas of our being. There are six basic human emotions: 1 --Love 2 --Peace 3 --Happiness

4 --Anger 5 --Sadness 6--Fear Hatred is focused anger. Bitterness is old, cold anger. Grief is deep sadness. Worry is a form of fear. Others, like jealousy (anger, sadness and fear), are some combination of the basic six. Guilt and greed are not emotions, but are creations of the mind that generate the basic emotions. Guilty or greedy stories go around and around in the mind generating emotions that strengthen and perpetuate the stories. Many believe that if they can be in a strong state of love, peace and joy will follow automatically. Love is an energy that can certainly transform the energies of sadness, anger and fear into love. Our modern culture has taught us that it’s inappropriate to express emotions in any way that disrupts a public place, classroom or workspace. Many of us have learned to suppress emotions so well that we’ve become completely cut off from them and are unable to consciously feel or express emotion. Unexpressed emotions build up in the mind and in the energetic and physical bodies. These unexpressed energies become impacted and create blockages that are the greatest cause of weakened immune systems and illness in people. All of us know that worry causes ulcers, anger makes us “liverish” and fear “chokes” us. In general, you may see or feel emotional buildup inside people as follows:

Grey sadness smothers the lungs. Red anger builds up in the liver before attacking the heart and brain. Impatience generating red anger is in the heart. Brown worry is in the pancreas and spleen. Black fear is in the kidneys. These impacted emotions get into your energy system and block chakras, channels and connections. Instead of fully experiencing and releasing the painful emotions of past traumatic events, we often bury them inside ourselves, tying the small and large intestines into knots. Cleansing and releasing stored emotional energies is one of the most beneficial practices. Often seemingly miraculous “cures” take place as the free flow of healing energy is restored. You will need to use a transformational energy to change emotional buildup into healing energy. Proper deep breathing is essential in releasing and experiencing emotions. Most of us are chronic shallow breathers, breathing high in the chest with no abdominal movement. If you practice deep abdominal breathing, your emotions will flow freely and naturally. To do this, simply breathe as follows. 1 --Exhale completely while pushing in with your belly. 2 –Inhale while inflating your belly completely. 3 --Exhale completely again. Your emotions cannot become stuck if you are breathing properly.

9. Your Energy System

Our energy systems consist of many different parts that vibrate at different frequencies. You have: 1—Aura 2—Chakras 3—Channels 4—Connections 5—Tan Tiens All the parts should be treated. To treat the different frequencies of each part, you must take the time to go through all the levels, clearing the blockages and repairing the damage.

Some practitioners report as many as eighteen levels in the aura alone. Observing these different subtle energy frequencies becomes possible only through a strong meditation practice that will give you the necessary mental focus. Most of us cannot see subtle energy with our physical eyes. Try closing your eyes and guiding energy into a person’s energy system with your mind. Your mind’s eye may see the person’s energy field light up. You may observe the different parts as your mind focuses softly on each in turn. Colors and blockages may appear. Use the appropriate energy, colors and symbols to clear the blocks and repair the damage.

9.1 Your Aura

Your aura forms a field of energy that surrounds your physical body. It’s generated by the spinning action of your chakras pulling energy into you and expelling it out of you.

This field can extend out as much as five meters or more out from your body. All of the information about all the lives you’ve lived, including this present life, is encoded in this field. The colors in it change constantly as your thoughts and emotions change. Light colors like white, blue, green, gold, violet and light red indicate good health. Darker colors like dirty white, gray, brown, black and dark red or dark green indicate blockages and damage that must be cleared and repaired. As you do your daily practice, your aura will grow and strengthen until incoming negative energies transform to positive power as soon as they strike your energy field. If you cannot see auras, try closing your eyes and guiding energy into the aura with your mind. The aura may light up, enabling your mind to “see” it. You can also sweep your hand slowly through an aura to experience its different vibrations of energy. When using healing energy, we are mostly concerned with the layer of energy next to the body. It has the most influence on the health of the physical body. As you slowly sweep your hand through this energy layer, you will feel spots that are hot or cold, cause tingling or a change in vibration, or that draw your hand to them. These sensations indicate energy imbalances. As your abilities grow, you will become able to work in the entire aura using only your mind on the energy.

9.2 Your Chakras

Chakras are whirling energy vortices. When viewed from the front, chakras may appear round. Viewed from above they are like plates or disks stacked one atop the other. Each chakra governs a different aspect of our being. Here we are only concerned with the seven major chakras that are in the physical body. They are centered in front of the spine. 1 --Mooladhara is on the perineum, which is the strip of skin between your sexual organs and anus, at the very base of your body. Its color is red. It governs knowledge. It’s here that the column of Yin energy connecting you to Mother Earth enters you. 2 --Swadishtana is behind your pubic bone, back near your spine. It’s orange and governs your emotions, subconscious and sexual energy.

3 --Manipura is yellow and located just above the navel. Your personal power resides here. Do not confuse Manipura chakra with your Shree center of creativity, which is the same color and is higher in your solar plexus –at the base of your breast bone. 4 --Anahata is the Heart Chakra. It’s behind the breastbone at heart level. Its color is usually green, sometimes with pink mixing in. Love emanates from your heart chakra, going out to all around you. 5 --Vishuddi is located at the base of the throat. The color is usually blue. It governs communication and your immune system. 6 --Ajneya or the Third Eye, is located in the center of the forehead above and between the eyebrows. Its usual color is indigo. This is the seat of your psychic and mental powers. 7 --Sahasrara is the crown chakra located on top of the head. Its color is usually violet with varying amounts of gold. This is your spirituality. It’s here that the slender white energy cord bringing celestial energies down into your being enters you. There are also minor chakras on your hands, knees, ankles and bottoms of your feet. It’s very important to open these to allow sick, heaty and negative energies to ground out of the body.

9.3 Your Center of Creativity

This is also known as the Shree Center. This bright yellow ball of energy is located at the bottom of your breast bone in the notch where your ribs come together. It is about one third of the way into your physical body. The Shree Center governs your creative abilities, including wealth creation. Many practitioners and writers confuse the Shree Center with Manipura chakra. It’s easy to tell the difference. Manipura is a darker yellow and is located about one inch above the navel. It’s also much deeper in your body – back near your spine.

9.4 Your Connections

A slender column of energy goes from Mother Earth up into your base chakra. It continues straight up through your body, out of your crown chakra on top of your head and up into the Universe. Energy travels both up and down in this column. Yang, celestial or cosmic energies come down to us through this cord. Cool Yin, or Earth, energies travel up this cord from the earth. Excess heaty energies also travel down the cord to ground out and keep your energies balanced. Conscious grounding after energy work is often necessary to maintain proper balance between Yin and Yang.

With daily energy or creative work, your Universe connection will grow until it covers the whole top of your head.

9.5 Your Channels The central channel runs straight down through our bodies from the crown to the base chakra. The connections to the Universe and Mother Earth run through the central channel. Shushuma, or the back channel, runs up the center of the spinal cord from the base chakra to the crown chakra. The kundalini energies rise through this channel. There are two other channels here on the right and left called Ida and Pingala. These actually cross the back channel at every chakra to form a figure eight shape that repeats all the way up the spine The front channel runs up the front of the body from the base to the crown chakra. It’s about 1 or 2 centimeters below the skin. The belt channels run around the physical body just beneath the skin, one at the level of each chakra. They are the same colors as the chakras and protect them. They intersect the front and back channels to form an energy grid or frame.

9.6 Your Tan Tiens The tan tiens are best discovered by looking for empty spaces in which it first appears that nothing exists. Actually they are seas of living energy inside us. The upper tan tien is inside the skull, occupying the area where the brain is. The thinking mind resides here. The middle tan tien is in the center of the chest. The emotional mind is here. The lower tan tien is behind and below the navel. This is home to the instinctual mind and your pearl of life force energy.

9.7 The Causal Layer The causal layer, or alyala, is much deeper, in a more subtle, finer layer of energy than the aura, chakras and channels. This is the energy that travels with us from life time to life time. Ideally the causal layer should be smooth and even so that the life force energy can flow uniformly over it. You may see hills where the energy can’t flow up, or valleys where the energy gathers and gets stuck. These folds represent accumulated behavior and habit patterns. Smoothing them out can bring very beneficial changes to a person. In the same layer is a strand of energy running from the base of the skull to the top of the pelvis. It’s often broken or has brownish knots in it. These are emotions carried for lifetimes. Cleansing and repairing this can relieve emotional patterns.

9.8 Your Soul

The soul is located high in the center of the chest where the thymus gland is. This is halfway between the heart and throat chakras. Different people see it differently. Most see a rather small ball of intense blue or white light. One woman said it had wings. Various other shapes are sometimes reported, depending on the viewer’s interpretation. The soul is often fractured by past traumatic events. The very strong emotional energies associated with the event hold the broken piece trapped with it. You can call the pieces together by focusing your attention on the soul and sending a strong surge of energy through it. The pieces will snap back. You must cleanse them of the emotional energies stuck to them so that they will stay.

9.9 Your Spirit The spirit resides in the body. It’s usually seen as a little boy or girl, but sometimes as a lovely, very fine, semi transparent, slightly colored energy form.

Sometimes the spirit vacates the body. The body may become uninhabitable because of severe emotional trauma, demonic possession or another malady. People’s spirits can also get lost while astral traveling or in deep meditation. In all cases, the spirit can be brought back by first cleansing and healing the person’s body and energy system, then searching for it on the astral planes and gently guiding it back home.

10. Useful Meditations

There are two types of meditation –passive and active. In passive meditation you simply sit quietly observing. The Buddha used this method to reach Enlightenment. In active meditation, you use your mind to observe, control and transform subtle energy.

10.1 Empty Mind or Vipassana A clear mind devoid of thought is the basic, essential prerequisite for developing awareness, working in the deeper meditations and observing subtle energies. Empty mind can take five to ten years to achieve doing traditional Buddhist Vipassana meditation under retreat conditions. However, many people have reported being able to go into and remain in empty mind after a short Oneness University process lasting only a few days.

From empty mind, it is very possible to observe emptiness, or the void, which is the foundation of the Universe. Going deep into emptiness brings the death of your ego, which enables you to begin perceiving reality and building real, eternal structures like your light body that your conscious mind can dwell in forever. Vipassana is the method Buddha Sakyamuni used to reach enlightenment. It’s simple and very valuable for developing focus, but it can be frustrating in the beginning. 1 --Sit comfortably erect on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Or you may sit on the floor in the full lotus, half lotus or Burmese postures. Your head should be balanced without tilting forward or back. Your spine should not touch anything so that energy can flow freely. 2 – Your hands can be held resting in your lap with or without a mudra (hand position). 3 --Focus your attention on your breath coming in and out of your nostrils. It’s cool coming in and warm going out. From this basic beginning you can add other techniques. --Try breathing in through your nostrils and out through your mouth. --Try counting your breaths from one to nine and then starting over at one. If you lose track, start over at one. --Chant a mantra in your mind. Mantras focus you in the energy or Deity associated with the mantra. --Use a mudra Mudras are hand positions. Different mudras move energy through different channels. The heart mudra creates a counter rotating field of extremely powerful love that makes it very easy to slip into deep meditative states. --Use a strand of 108 beads held in one hand between your thumb and forefinger. Move one bead with your thumb each time you chant the mantra.

--Alternate sitting with standing and walking mindfully. About twenty minutes is good for each. A timer helps immensely, or you can use the beads as a timer. These techniques are best learned on a short retreat under the guidance of a realized master. The master will use his established practice to entrain your mind, calming it. You must observe your thoughts as you meditate. At first they will be chaotic as story lines emerge and new stories interrupt these stories to create more stories. As your slow, steady breathing calms your thoughts, you may notice a small gap between thoughts. Focus your attention in this empty gap where no thought exists. Focusing gently in these gaps makes them last longer and longer, until your mind can rest permanently in no thought, or empty mind.

10.2 Gazing Gazing is sometimes called open eye meditation. It’s highly effective for reducing stress, releasing emotional buildup and clearing your mind. Gazing is also very simple. 1 --You choose an object and look at it. 2 --You may blink to keep your eyes moist. 3 --You may NOT look away from the object. The best object for gazing at is the eyes of another person. Progress seems to come faster while love and empathy grow quickly. Next best is gazing at your own eyes in a mirror. This method is good because it’s very obvious that any “stuff” that arises is your own “stuff.” It has to be yours because no one else is present!

A candle flame, a flower or a distant object will also work. Just be sure that the object is very distinct from its surroundings so that it stands out clearly. As you gaze, you may notice many changes around the periphery, or edges, of your visual field. Colors, shapes or energy patterns may appear. You may also feel emotions or energies rising up in you. Just keep gazing. These happenings are interesting, but they are only the passing of suppressed energies inside you that are releasing. Just observe their coming and going. Physical symptoms associated with releasing energies may be: Tears. Your eyes may tear uncontrollably without you actually crying. Yawning. Belching. Farting. Coughing. One hour is a good length of time to gaze before taking a ten minute break. Anything over twenty minutes is long enough to be of value. Using an alarm clock takes away the urge to look at a clock. You need to practice daily, preferably at least twice.

10.3 Energy Meditation In energy meditations, your awareness mind works with subtle energy. Many people prefer this form of meditation because it’s active rather than passive like Vipassana or gazing. Your mind has the ability to move and transform energy. You can tell subtle energy to move from one place to another, or to change from being one kind of energy to being another kind.

You’ll need an energy initiation before trying to see/feel energy. Just about any kind of initiation will work for the simple exercise below. Feeling/seeing energy

1 –Hold your hands in front of you with the palms facing each other three or four inches apart. 2 –Slowly and gently, move your hands towards each other then back away from each other. Keep moving them very slowly back and forth –closer together then further apart. 3 –You may begin feeling something between your hands. It may feel warm, cool, tingling or magnetic. You may feel resistance, elasticity, pressure or like something is pushing your hands apart. 4 –Close your eyes and allow your mind to flow into the space between your hands. You may see colors or the energy moving. Remember to be patient with yourself. Think about how many years it took you to learn how to use your physical body and to educate your intellectual mind. Transforming energy is especially useful when working with emotions. If you simply tell anger to change to love, it will when your mind is seeing the fine energy particles that the emotions are composed of.

As you work with subtle energy, you will gradually become able to observe finer and finer layers, until you see Shakti, the most basic energy particles, and then emptiness.

11. Useful Energies

11.1 Empowerments Receiving the empowerment that goes with an energy or meditation is necessary to make it work at its optimum. The initiation is what opens your system and gives you access to the power. Then it’s up to you, the practitioner, to do the practice. (IMPORTANT!) Doing the practice enables you to keep the empowerment, develop it and receive the full benefit. Without daily practice, your precious empowerment will soon be reduced to a beautiful memory. Sad.

Empowerments can be received long distance by telephone, through writings or other methods. However, they are best when received one-on-one, directly from a realized teacher. Live teachers are usually best, but those who have left their physical body can be just as effective.

11.2 Reiki

Dr. Mikao Usui developed the Reiki system of energy healing more than one hundred years ago. Reiki has become the world’s most popular healing system for good reason. It melds with any religious or spiritual practice, is relatively safe, easy to use and balanced. It’s probably the best place to begin your energy experience. The drawbacks with Reiki are that it’s slow, and it’s generally healing rather than transformational.

Reiki’s greatest value lies in being balanced. Most other energies are not. You must balance them, but they are faster and more powerful. Reiki acts as your safety. You can always use Reiki to rebalance and ground yourself, which will inevitably be necessary. Original Usui Reiki is best for this purpose. Many other systems have been created using Reiki as a base. They are sometimes interesting for special purposes, but the other energies discussed later in this chapter render them superfluous. There are three levels to Reiki. You’ll need the power and versatility of Level II. Try to find a good, caring teacher near your home who offers Reiki Share once a week. Coming together to give and receive Reiki with like-minded souls is an invaluable part of your Reiki experience. It will keep you interested and keep your Reiki energy alive and flowing so that it’s there when you need it. Reiki works far quicker, and is much stronger, with a group giving than with just one individual practicing alone. You will also need a teacher who attunes all seven chakras. Many attune only the crown, third eye and heart. This can result in a serious energy imbalance that may affect your health. Above all, find a teacher who is totally committed to healing and to her own spiritual growth. She’ll be glowing with light and love, and she’ll be extremely generous, caring far more for others than for making money. And she’ll be patient and open, answering your questions honestly, without holding back anything or being mysterious in any way.

11.3 White Light

The Source, Allah, God and Jehovah are some of the names for the immense ball of white light that so many pray to. White light is only one of the many enormously powerful energies found inside the ball. Life force energy and soul energy are two of the very useful energies you may encounter. Life force energy can be used to replenish the pearl of life force that everyone has in their lower tan tien. Soul energy is used to repair fragmented souls. The soul is high in the center of the chest, near the thymus gland. White light is very valuable for healing, protection and a multitude of other purposes.

11.4 Ilahinoor

Sometimes called ‘poor man’s deeksha,’ Ilahinoor is a transformational energy. It has the ability to transform other energies, clearing the veils from minds. Ilahinoor comes from the work of Kiara Windrider, who has written several books and teaches from Turkey. Remedia received a set of symbols that make it much easier to direct and focus this rather subtle energy. You’ll find them in 14.5. Ilahinoor and the symbols are invaluable for very rapid transformation of negative emotions, psychic attacks, demons and other energies. Ilahinoor also works very well for clearing the lower chakras and for bringing energy from the subtle realms to manifest what you want in this physical world

11.5 Deeksha

Bhagavan’s deeksha energy, which is taught at the Oneness University in India, is essential for anyone who wants the fastest possible growth. A deeksha process can give you the empty mind state for meditation and a oneness experience in just a few days. Continuing to receive deeksha regularly after a Oneness University process has taken many to complete realization. The Oneness University has generated a lot controversy among Western spiritual seekers. The mind to mind method of teaching used there isn’t well understood by people used to linear lectures, books and computers. Constantly changing policies, high prices, cultural differences and the growth pains of a fast growing organization staffed by young adults have also caused misunderstandings. Currently courses are free. Participants pay only for board and room, which as of this writing, are about $160.00/day for most Westerners. Many have distanced themselves from the controversy by using the very valuable energy of deeksha while remaining independent of the organization.

The energy works wonderfully well, and it can be used by nearly anyone who has experienced it.

11.6 Sri Ramana’s Love

Ramana Maharshi does for your heart what Bhagavan does for your mind. Ramana’s love can clear your heart of all blocks, enabling you to become a fountain of pure love. His ashram is at the foot of Arunachala in Tiruvanamalai, Tamil Nadhu, South India. Its worldwide popularity makes it necessary to book a room by e-mail months in advance. Simply meditating next to Sri Ramana’s tomb, in the room where he taught, or in the small house he lived in is enough to tune into his very powerful presence and receive his teachings.

Arunachala is the hill above Sri Ramana’s Ashram. It’s one of the holiest places in India. Spiritual practitioners come from all over the world to meditate in the very special energies produced by Arunachala. These energies make it possible to go into very deep states instantly. They also cleanse blocks and bring realizations extremely fast. A trip to Arunachala can change life completey.

11.7 Cold Blue Flame

Making energy cold allows you to pack it so densely that it ripples like flame or flows like water. You become able to move and use much greater concentrations without burning yourself or others. This energy has been received by people while meditating on Arjuna’s Pennace, a large red rock with many figures carved into it. It’s in Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadhu, South India. Others have received it on the astral planes or in dreams. It can change people quite quickly.

11.8 Chi Gong

Chinese Chi Gong is a set of teachings about how to use different energies. Practicing them will teach you the mechanics of energy work. You will learn the

different types of energies, where they come from and how to store and circulate them in your body. Master Mantak Chia’s extensive writings in English are a very good resource. Many practices can be learned quickly at his resort in Northern Thailand. Chi Gong’s real value lies in keeping your physical body healthy and promoting longevity so that you can live long enough to complete your practice.

11.9 The Matrix

The matrix is a universal field where different frequency energy waves moving in all directions cross one another. The matrix underlies all physical matter. Working in the matrix has an instant effect on this physical world. Dr. Richard Bartlett teaches very effective methods in courses called Matrix Energetics.

11.10 Shakti Shakti is the most basic energy in our Universe. Shakti particles appear out of emptiness and disappear back into it so fast that it is extremely difficult observe them individually.

The importance of becoming able to work with Shakti cannot be over emphasized. Every phenomenon in the Universe is created from Shakti. All other energies come from it. To master energy work, you must master Shakti. Mastering Shakti requires mastering yourself. It’s after you, your ego, dies in emptiness and your consciousness merges with I Am that you can begin working with Shakti to build real structures.

11.11 Emptiness Emptiness isn’t an energy; it’s the complete absence of energy. Emptiness is the birthplace of energy. The smallest, most basic energy particles in existence flash out of and dissolve back into emptiness so fast that their life cycle cannot be measured. These Shakti particles combine with universal awareness, or I Am, to create the other energies that all phenomenon in our Universe are comprised of. Death of the individual ego in emptiness is the primary goal of nearly every meditation program. It’s where your realized teacher will take you as quickly as possible. This is because, after your ego dies, your mind can merge with universal awareness, or the great I Am. You become able to see and work in reality. Most gurus take you to emptiness. People also find it through their own meditation practice, deeksha and at various ashrams, including Sakthi Amma’s and Ramana Maharshi’s.

12. Love: The Most Important Element

12.2 Using Love Wisely Love permeates our entire Universe. It’s present in all of creation. It’s the most powerful energy in existence. Love mixes in with all other positive energies, making them far more powerful. Being grateful to love opens your heart wide and increases power levels exponentially. Being focused in love and gratitude grants you access to the most powerful energies existing. Love has the magical ability to transform all other energies into love. When used in selfless compassion, without agenda, love changes anger, sadness, fear and their combinations into love. It dissolves psychic attacks

(black magic) and emotional attacks. It changes demons and evil spirits into beautiful light beings. Love heals broken hearts and fractured souls. It smoothes the passage of souls from this life to the next. Love brings joyful healing and the fastest possible Spiritual growth to all whom it touches. Focusing yourself in love before using other energies will keep you strongly anchored in the correct frame of mind so that you don’t make mistakes with using energy wrongly. Misusing energy happens when you are in a state of anger, sadness, fear, pride or greed. Another big trap is using energy to force a “good” outcome to a bad situation. Let’s say your partner smokes cigarettes, enjoys smoking and doesn’t want to quit. You love your partner very much and know smoking is killing him. You decide to deliberately use energy to force him to quit. Doing so sets up several unhealthy conflicts. He really enjoys smoking, wants to smoke and doesn’t understand why he quit. He will return to smoking or find another, perhaps even more harmful, addiction to turn to. A basic conflict will form between your strong desire for him to stop smoking and his strong desire to smoke. This conflict will carry over into other areas of your relationship and harm them. A much more beneficial approach is for you to simply give him healing love without any agenda that imposes on his free will. In this way your desire is eliminated and love can work its magic and bring about the best possible outcome. This may be very different than your plan for love. Another example of misusing energy is love charms.

Let’s say a woman comes to you crying in desperation because a man she loves (desires) doesn’t love her. You feel sorry for her and want to help her. You make the man marry her. He knows he doesn’t love her, or want to marry her, and he doesn’t understand why he married her. They have children. Then one day he falls in real love with another woman who loves him truly. A lot of lives are going to be afflicted. And your energy work caused the whole mess. What will the effect be on you? In both examples, desire is what created the problem. The desire needs to be eliminated, not satisfied in a harmful manner. Using energy to infringe on free will creates recipes for disaster. Using energy wrongly can bring very harmful effects to yourself and everyone around you. This damage can last for lifetimes. The solution is to always be in a state of selfless, compassionate love yourself. This will automatically carry over into your energy work and protect you. You’ll make the correct decisions without even having to consider them. You’ll simply “know.” Begin building love in yourself with the meditations below. The first exercise is very simple. You should always do it before working with other energies. The flower is a real energy formation that your logical mind interprets as a flower. As your practice deepens, and you’ve been using the flower for some time, its true nature will reveal itself in unfolding stages.

12.2 Flowering Heart Meditation

1--Sit comfortably. 2--Hold your hands in your lap, palms up, right on top of left with the tips of your thumbs touching each other. Notice that your arms form a circle. The circle crosses your chest through your heart. 3--Focus your mind softly on the center of your chest. 4--Be aware of any energy or emotion moving in your chest. 5—See/feel a beautiful flower opening in the center of your chest. 6—As the flower opens, you can see/feel waves of love coming out of the flower. 7—The waves of love wash away all the pain in your heart –anger, sadness and fear all transform into love.

8—Waves of love fill your entire chest. 9—The energy of love flows down both your arms to your hands and up your arms to your heart, around and around in a beautiful circle of love that grows stronger and stronger as the flower glows brighter and brighter. 10--Rest in love. The circle of love that forms flows in both directions –down your right arm and up your left arm, down your left arm and up your right arm. Love flows around your arms in both directions through the same space at the same time. This is a counter rotating energy field. Counter rotating energy fields have many useful attributes. 1--Power levels increase exponentially. 2—It becomes very easy to shift into other states of consciousness. 3—A portal to other dimensions forms. From the basic Flowering Heart meditation you can go on to many other uses for love. Love really does heal all. Its use is limited only by your imagination.

12.3 Love is a Real Energy

Play with the beautiful energy of love in this exercise. Love is very real. It’s palpable, moldable, and it’s so incredibly alive. 1—Do exercise 12.2 to get into the energy. 2—Hold your hands in front of yourself with the palms facing each other 2 or 3 inches apart. 3—Slowly move your hands closer together and then further apart. 4—Feel what’s between your hands. (It may feel hot, cool, tingling, magnetic, elastic, like pins and needles or you may just feel resistance between your hands.) 5—Form love into a lovely energy ball between your hands, much like you would form a ball of bread dough into a bun. 6—Close your eyes and look into your love ball. Just allow your mind to drift into the ball between your hands. 7—Gently and slowly, lift your ball up to your chest and massage it into your heart.

12.4 Loving Yourself 1--Do exercise 12.2 to get focused in love. 2—The circle of love grows stronger and stronger, the flower glows brighter and brighter. 3—Waves of love begin flowing out through your entire being. 4—Love washes every cell in your body, cleansing all. 5—All your cells glow with vibrant love. As you do this exercise, you might notice love striking blocks inside you.

You may experience anger rising up from your liver as love releases it. You actually feel quite angry and see what you’re angry about. Just remain focused on your flower and the beautiful waves of pure love. The waves of love will transform the anger, and then they will dissolve away the accompanying story in your mind. This can happen with any emotion in any area of your body. Just allow the waves of love to heal all. After some practice, you might want to start taking a more active role. Your mind controls energy. Your mind can tell energy where to go, what to do there, even what kind of energy it should be. You have the ability to simply tell one kind of energy to change to another. The energy must obey your mind. Use love’s energy to heal yourself and others. You can feel/see the other emotions of sadness, anger or fear inside yourself or another. Send love into those undesired emotions while using your mind to tell them to change to love.

12.5 Loving Others Please do this exercise with no attempt to guide or control others. You are transforming their emotional blocks, not them. Realize that they have free will and can chose to behave any way they want to with the love that you freely give to them. You must have no attachment to the outcome. 1—Do exercise 12.2 to get centered in love. 2—Send a golden beam of pure love from the flower in your heart into the other person’s heart. 3—See/feel waves of love expanding out through their entire being. 4—Transform anything that arises. 5—Cutting the beam between you when you’re finished prevents energy loss. Leaving it in place strengthens the bond of love between you. It’s your choice.

Love is the crucial element in successful healing and meditation.

13. Mother Earth

13. Importance of Grounding Your energy practice is only as good as your grounding. It’s crucial to remember that energy flows both directions in proper grounding. You release unwanted energies down into Mother Earth and bring her cooling, healing power up into yourself. Any attempt to go into higher practices without a firm root in Mother Earth’s cool Yin energy will result in failure. Practitioners who ignore grounding become spaced out, easily deluded and even psychotic without making much real progress. They have no effective way to cleanse and release negative, toxic, sick energies. This dirt accumulates in them, causing blockages and, eventually, physical, mental and emotional illness. Your strong connection to the Earth will result in an automatic progression to being firmly established in the beautiful lotus seat when it appears beneath you as you progress into higher meditations.

The lotus seat that you see beneath Buddhas and Indian Gods is a bowl of energy pouring out of emptiness. This immensely powerful energy will rise up through you, growing and powering all aspects of your practice. Real power comes from below, not above. Yin from below must balance Yang from above. The two combine to give you balanced power. Everyone wants to go into the higher celestial energies. They forget about Mother Earth. Without the Yin from below, it’s simply not possible to go higher and remain there stably without burning yourself up.

13.2 Connecting Feet to Earth Having the minor chakras on the bottoms of your feet opened will greatly facilitate your ability to bring Earth energy up into yourself. These chakras are sometimes called Bubbling Springs. This point is located on the bottom of your foot behind your toes and next the ball of your foot. You’ll probably see two lines forming a V shape here. The chakra is centered on the spot where the two lines join. To open this chakra: 1—Hold the tips of your fingers and thumb of one hand bunched tightly together pointing at the chakra. 2—Activate the energy in your finger tips. 3—Plug your bunched finger tips directly into the chakra. 4—See/feel the energy going from your finger tips into the chakra. 5—Open your fingers and the chakra by spreading your fingers out in all directions –like a lovely flower opening. 6—Reach down into Mother Earth and connect to Yin energy with your hand and mind.

7—Bring Earth energy up into the open chakra, making the connection permanent. 8—Put the bottom of the foot into direct contact with the Earth or floor. Plant the foot by scooping Earth energy over it. 9—Scoop Earth energy up the leg and into the body. 10—Do the other foot.

13.3 Connecting Base Chakra to Earth Have the person stand with their feet spread shoulder width or more apart so that you’ll have room to work. 1--Kneel or sit at one side. 2—Reach around in front of their base chakra with one hand. Reach around behind their base chakra with your other hand. 3—Run energy between your hands through the chakra until you’re well connected to it. 4—Let your hands slowly move lower while keeping the energy connection. You may need to move your hands closer towards each other to find the column of energy connecting the base chakra to Mother Earth. (This is no time to be shy! Just do your job.) 5—Smooth and strengthen the column all the way down into the Earth. 6—Scoop Earth energy up the column into Mooladhara chakra and beyond into the body. 7—Repeat until the connection is strong and permanent. We spend our entire modern lives cut off from the Earth. We live and work in buildings with artificial flooring, wear shoes, walk only on concrete and never allow our bare feet to actually touch dirt. Many modern day maladies can be improved by reconnecting to Mother Earth’s power.

13.4 Chi Butterfly

After your feet and base chakra are well connected to Earth, you can do this Chi Gong exercise. Please be careful not to bring the chi up into your head yet. Stop it in your chest and direct it down your arms. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. 1—Breathe in and pull Yin up from the Earth through Bubbling Springs, up your legs to your root chakra and on up through your body to your heart. 2—Breathe out and send the energy down your arms, out of your fingers and into the ground. 3—Repeat for 9 repetitions, establishing a circular flow of energy on both sides of your body.

13.5 Grounding Out Emotions Once the chi is flowing smoothly in 13.4, you can begin working with heaty buildup, emotions or any other energy you want to release. Do 9 repetitions clear each emotion or energy before moving on to the next. 1—Do exercise 13.4 to get connected to Earth energy. 2--Breathe in and pull clean chi up into your chest. 3--Breathe out and see/feel the unwanted emotion flowing down into Mother Earth where it will automatically be transformed. Sadness, anger and fear are the emotions usually needing release.

13.6 Running Water The easiest way to ground out heaty or unwanted energies is to simply sit with your feet in a flowing stream of water, walk in it or do your grounding exercises in it. Walking in the surf at the beach also works well. The built up, heaty energies flow down and out of your body into the cool, moving water, naturally balancing your entire energy system.

Remedia’s personal favorite is to sit on a stool and wash clothes in a bucket of cold water. Cold water runs into the bucket, then down over her feet. The vigorous exercise of washing clothes moves the energy inside her. The cold water running over her hands and feet pulls all negative energies out. Doing grounding exercises in the shower can work well too. The water cascading down over you, coupled with visualizing energy flowing down and out of you, and the exercise of washing, will clear you quickly. Be sure to breathe deeply and exhale completely while releasing unwanted energies.

13.7 Reiki Grounding Reiki is balanced energy. By doing a Reiki self treatment on the bottoms of your feet, ankles, knees and base chakra, you can pull unwanted energies down and out of yourself easily and effortlessly. It only requires a little time and patience. Reiki grounding is Remedia’s second choice. You can use it whenever running water isn’t practical. Reiki is very effective for grounding others also.

13.8 Hugging A Tree Standing in the Chi Gong stance called Hugging A Tree grounds and balances your energy quickly. 1--Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. 2--Bend your knees slightly and sit a little –like you’re perching on the edge of a bar stool. 3--Bring your arms up in front of your body to chest height with your elbows slightly bent and the tips of your extended fingers pointing at each other but not touching. Your arms form a circle in front of you that looks just like you’re hugging a tree. 4--You should soon begin to feel energy moving between your fingertips. It may move in a circular way up and down your arms and across your chest

before moving down your legs into the ground. Hold the stance as long as necessary to rebalance yourself. Mother Earth is your safety. Her Yin will balance the hot Yang from above that you’ll connect to next.

14. Energy Sources

14.1 Choosing Your Sources Everything in our Universe is energy. All of that energy originates in Emptiness. Emptiness is the purest, most powerful energy source. However, in the beginning you’ll need to work with energies that are already in existence. After you’ve developed the necessary meditation skills and psychic vision to observe Emptiness and the shakti particles emanating from it, you’ll be able to go into advanced work. Chi Gong teaches us that it’s possible to draw energy from any object in the Universe. So which objects should you chose to draw from? Obviously you’re not going to get much living energy from concrete or plastic. And you probably want to avoid the lower realms composed of dark energies and inhabited by demons and evil spirits. But, many, many practitioners do

wind up enslaved to these energies because they provide immediate gratification. They’re easy. The many energy fields that exist everywhere are very good sources, but you need excellent meditation skills and special empowerments to access them. So, in the beginning, that pretty much leaves you with natural physical objects and the upper realms. Natural objects like trees, mountains, waterfalls and the sea are good, living sources that require little imagination to access. So are stars, planets and other celestial bodies. Each object you draw from will impart its own particular type of energy to you. A little experimentation will get you familiar with the different frequencies. You’ll soon develop your favorite sources. Some examples are: 1—Trees give alive, vibrant, balancing energy that’s a great pain reliever. Sitting with your back against a tree will give you an initial feel for tree energy. Then you can simply invoke it anytime you want. 2—Each mountain has a very different feel. This is especially apparent on mountain tops. Meditate there. Allow the mountain’s energy to flow up through you. Then slowly sink down into the mountain. Become the mountain. 3—The ocean is a sea of life. Its energy changes with its moods. 4—The full moon gives immense amounts of very beneficial psychic energy. Buddhist monks and energy workers worldwide stay up all night on full moons to take advantage of the moon’s energy. It’s very easy to go into deep meditations and do powerful work under the full moon. 5—The North Star gives extremely powerful violet light that contains the full spectrum of visible light.

Please do not draw energy from the sun. It’s too close and too hot. You’ll burn yourself and anything else that you put sun energy into. The upper realms are filled with trillions of living beings. Most of them are still working on their own Spiritual growth and are subject to error. Some are seeking only to gain power and influence over people to further their own interests. How to sort them out? The established Deities have all stood the test of time and have proven themselves beneficial to many generations of practitioners. The trick is to tap into the living essence of the Deity you chose. You may require an initiation to change your perception of the Deity from being just a picture on a piece of paper into being a living, all powerful God. Christians work with Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Angels. Muslims are straight to Allah. Buddhists use one of the Buddhas or Boddhisatvas. Hindus have many Gods and many choices. Those people who have moved beyond religion are free to chose from any of the Deities.

14.2 Drawing Energy From Your Source Draw energy from your chosen source by: 1--Imagining a stream or beam of living energy or light coming from your source. 2—See the beam come into your crown chakra on top of your head. 3—Send it straight down through your central channel and out of your base chakra into the Earth.

4--Create a beautiful flow of energy moving down through your body. You can then direct the flow anywhere you want to inside yourself. You may need a little practice to move beyond imagination into realizing that what you’re doing is real. It will help to observe your physical reactions to the energy. They may be: 1—Feeling heat or coolness. 2—Tingling. 3—Seeing/feeling waves. 4—Brightened vision. 5--Relaxation

14.4 Putting Energy Into Objects Bring a second beam of energy from your source into any other people, objects or situations you want to work on. Do not use the stream of energy coming from your source into yourself for anything else. Keep it for you alone. Your connection to your source is extremely valuable. Guard it. Without your source, you are powerless. The energy goes straight from your source into your object. It does not pass through your body. This allows you to increase the flow and power without overheating. It also reduces negative energies coming from your object to you. Your ability to move energy becomes limited only by the ability of your mind to focus on and command the energy. As your meditation improves, so will your ability to work with ever increasing amounts of energy. Practice, practice, practice.

14.5 Symbols These symbols are powerful tools practitioners can use to guide and direct energy to achieve specific purposes. Each one enables you to use a different vibration or frequency of energy. Visualize or draw them as living energy in brilliant, glowing, sparkling color. You can draw them with your finger, a stick of incense, your eyes or your mind alone. By using symbols, you can put energy into a person, place, situation or anything else imaginable at distant locations or at any time, past, present or future. Gold Symbol

The gold symbol is your power booster. Use it to increase power for transforming, healing and manifesting. Draw it on or in your object or see it going into your visualization to power it into reality. If you really need a BIG power boost, place this symbol inside the beam of energy coming from your source. As you visualize it traveling down the beam, it picks up power, growing larger and larger, brighter and brighter until it strikes your object. By stacking up multiple symbols in the beam, like a train, you can keep an extremely powerful flow of golden energy going. This is very useful when you are transforming strong negative energies such as suppressed emotions, psychic attacks or entities.

For manifesting, visualize the symbol and see what you want appearing in its golden energy. Blue Symbol

The blue symbol cools energy down. You will get a heaty buildup if your power source is Yang, or if you use the gold symbol a lot. Too much heat builds up, and the energy will start getting stuck instead of flowing. If you keep trying to put it into your object, it will start bouncing off. Use the blue symbol to cool down, and then do grounding to reestablish a flow. You can greatly increase your power level by making energy cool. It’s possible to move much, much more cool energy than hot energy. Cool blue energy will pack and condense until it becomes heavy, like flowing water or until it looks like cool, rippling flames.

Silver Symbol

The silver symbol will purify anything. It’s very useful for cleaning up densely packed emotions, psychic attacks and entities. You can visualize multiple silver symbols spinning into the negative energy you want to transform, slicing it up while changing its color and characteristics. For entities, keep putting it in until you find the small silver ball of the entity’s soul. Fill the soul until waves of silver energy begin radiating out of it. These radiating waves will purify the entire entity quite quickly. Experiment. Play. Have fun with clean energy sources. They’ll leave you feeling great. Be aware that the energy is coming out of your palms and fingertips. You can use either your hands or your mind to put energy into people. Using both together is usually best. Sure you’ll make mistakes. It’s part of the fun. You can always ground out anything you feel uncomfortable with, or you can have an experienced practitioner rebalance you.

15. Basic Healing Exercise

15.1 Preparing Yourself You now have a good idea about what energy is and where it comes from. You know how to meditate. You know what the human energy system is and about the emotions. You can see/feel energy. You have a set of symbols to help you focus on different types of energy. You’re ready to put it all together and do some healing. Get focused in love and connected to your energy sources. Always do this before using energy. 1—Focus yourself in love. Exercise 12.2. 2—Connect to Mother Earth. Exercise 13.4 (You can do it sitting or standing.) 3—Connect to Celestial energy. (Exercise 14.1)

15.2 Creating a Sacred Space Now that you’re focused in love and connected to your energy sources, you’re ready to create a sacred space to work in. Your sacred space is extremely important. Working without being in it is inviting disaster. It gives you a measure of protection from entities and attacks. It raises your level of vibration higher so that the negative energies you’ll be transforming won’t affect you as strongly. It also increases your power levels so that your work will go faster and smoother. You must bring a second beam of energy from your source to do all your work with. Never use your personal beam connecting you to your source for working on others. Then you will always be connected and have immediate automatic access to more energy. 1—Do exercise 15.1 to get connected and focused in love. 2—Bring a second beam of light from your source into your space. 3—Use the beam and the symbols in 14.4 to cleanse the space and energize it. Pay particular attention to the eight corners (4 ceiling and 4 floor). Bad energy likes to hide in them. 4—Create a sphere, cube, pyramid or another energy form around yourself. Place large, vibrant symbols on it in all six directions (include above & below). 5—Invite the presence of your chosen Deity. You will find that working with a power greater than your own is an invaluable resource.

15.3 Connections Bring the beam into the crown chakra at the top of your head. Send it straight down through your central channel and out of your base chakra into the ground. This energizes you and clears your connections to celestial and earthly energy.

15.4 Aura Cleansing Your aura is very large. Perhaps twenty or thirty feet across –maybe more. How are you going to quickly clean something that big? 1--Make the beam coming from your source just as big as your aura. 2--Flood your aura with energy/light. 3—Your mind may see it light up. 4—Use the energy and symbols to cleanse/transform any dark spots. 5—Fill any holes. 6—Look for cords coming from other people into you and for hooks in yourself. 7—Cut the cords and dissolve away the portion entering your body. 8—Fill the resulting hole with clean energy to heal damage. 9—Smooth your aura out and make it all happy and sparkly. Cords are usually dirty white, black or red. Dirty white cords are negative emotional energies coming to you from people around you. People in bad relationships will have them going both ways –to others and from others. (Yes. We all generate bad energy in bad situations! Even you.) Common areas where emotional cords are found are the back of the head, throat and heart. Power stealing cords attach to the third chakra. Sexually motivated or sexual fantasy cords are around the sexual organs. Black cords are low level psychic attacks. Someone is deliberately using energy to attack and harm you. Red cords are high level, very powerful psychic attacks.

In all instances you must cut the cord, dissolve the portion in you and heal any damage. Hooks are from other people manipulating you. Like emotional blackmail or imposing on your good nature. The process for removing them is the same as you used for cords. Cut the string, dissolve the hook, and then heal the damage.

15.5 Chakra Cleansing You can cleanse your chakras starting from the top or bottom. You have energy coming into both the crown and base already. If you get stuck working on a block that won’t budge, try going around and working on it from the other direction. Put enough energy into the chakras to expand them all the way out to the belt channels. This makes the chakras grow. It also gives you an opportunity to inspect and repair the belt channels. You must align the belt channels with the chakras. Be sure the energy in them is flowing strongly in the same direction as the chakra. In severe cases you may have to rebuild the belt. Use your mind to see the energy doing it. You can also ground out any stubborn energies that won’t transform. Just use energy to push them out through the base and into the Earth. 1—Bring energy/light from your source into the chakra. It will light up. 2—Use the symbols and energy to clean any dark areas or fill any holes. 3—Expand the chakra out until you see/feel the belt channel. 4—Be sure that the belt channel is properly aligned with the chakra and is uniform and healthy with the energy moving through it in the same direction as the energy in the chakra. The crown and Third Eye usually don’t have belt channels. They’re wide open to the Universe.

15.6 Internal Organs

Generally, you will find impacted emotions in the following organs, along the inside of the spine and between the ribs. In severe cases, every cell in the body may be affected. The colors and sensations listed here are a starting point only. Your own perceptions may be quite different. Trust yourself. Go with what your intuition tells you. Cleanse the organs using the energy and symbols. 1--Heart can harbor any emotion. Hot red anger, choking grey sadness and smothering black fear can all get stuck in the heart. It’s common to find heart break here. 2--Liver usually has hot, red anger stored in it. Anger then rises to attack the heart and brain. Old anger is cold, heavy and dark red.

3--Pancreas and spleen often hold itchy brown worry, a form of fear. 4--Kidneys are home to cold, sticky black fear. 5--The large and small intestines often have knots of stored emotional energy from past traumatic experiences. Dissolve away or transform the stored emotions associated with the event. Keep putting symbols into the dark emotional energies until they clear, or ground them out through the base chakra. 6—Sexual organs often have dirty energy in them picked up from sexual partners that released their emotions along with their orgasm. Sexual fantasy cords are here too. Sexual organs sometimes have small entities feeding on the dirty energy generated from fantasies and/or watching porn. 7--Cleanse and energize the whole body, paying attention to the blood and circulatory system, nervous system, lymph system, bones and flesh, all on the cellular and subtle energy levels. 8--Stop when the energy stops flowing, your object becomes full or you start feeling overheated. 10--Thank your Deity and the energy in a state of love and gratitude. 11--Do self cleansing and grounding to rid yourself of heaty or negative energies that have built up in your system during the exercise. The above exercise contains the basic general healing that you should always do before going on to treat specific issues. You can use it on yourself or others. Treating the energetic and emotional disturbances that underlie physical health problems makes those physical issues much easier to treat, and it helps prevent them from recurring.

16. Treating Specific Issues

To be really effective treating serious issues you’ll need the specific knowledge, energy frequencies and meditative abilities described in Becoming a Master, the next book in this series.

16.1 Three Outcomes Usually issues treated with healing energy respond in one of three ways. 1—Instant and immediate relief. 2—Some relief with additional treatments being necessary over time. 3—There’s no discernible effect. I have personally experienced all three outcomes. My bleeding prostrate gland was healed immediately after receiving healing while standing in front of Sri Bade’s tomb in India. In the same session, the chronic swelling in my feet and ankles showed immediate improvement, but didn’t disappear completely until after I had been chanting Sri Bade’s name and consciously using his energy on myself daily for 2 months. The broken nerves in my neck were not affected in any way. If you experience number one, HOORAY! If you experience number two, you know you’re on the right track and need to follow through and do your work. If you experience number 3, you know you need to look elsewhere for a solution.

16.2 Common Sense Please use common sense when deciding on health care treatments. If you’ve got a broken leg, get yourself to the best orthopedic surgeon possible. After he’s done his job, you can use energy to relieve pain and hasten healing. If you’ve got an open, bleeding wound, apply first aid and get it stitched up before applying energy. If you apply healing before stitching, the wound faces may heal and be unable to grow back together.

If you’ve got irritable bowel syndrome, initiate healing by drinking 8 glasses of water daily, eating much more fruits and vegetables and drinking psyllium husk fiber dissolved in water. Do meditation to relieve stress and apply energy to your intestines. Many health issues respond best to a mix of treatments like this. So please use common sense and be aware of ALL your health care options.

16.3 Locating Problems Scanning a person’s body or aura with your hand can reveal issues. 1--Hold your hand with your palm facing the body about 1-2 inches from the person. 2—Connect to their energy by focusing your attention in it. You are in the layer of the aura closest to the physical body. It will tell you about physical health issues. 3—Slowly move your hand over the body, maintaining your 1-2 inch distance. 4—Be aware of spots where the energy changes. You may feel tingling, magnetism, more heat or cold or a force drawing your hand to an area. 5—Hold your hand over this area. Be open to any information you receive, particularly about the emotions concerning the problem. After gathering as much information as possible, you’re ready to continue scanning. Perhaps the best way for beginners to “see” problems is to put energy into an area using your hands or mind and then observe what appears. Dark colors, tingling, excess heat or cold, or an itchy uncomfortable sensation all indicate issues that need examination.

16.4 Physical Issues A medical examination of a physical problem can be very useful whether or not you decide to implement the advice given with it. Modern diagnostic equipment is quite good. It can confirm what your intuition is telling you, and it may provide a lot of additional information that will enable you to more precisely focus your energy healing efforts. Chinese hospitals using Chi Gong to treat tumors commonly use ultra sound to monitor progress while doing the Chi treatments. 1—Do a general healing to strengthen overall health and eliminate contributing factors as described in chapter 15. 2--Put energy into the problem. 3—Feel the emotions surrounding the issue. These can originate in this life or a past life. You may get a story or a vision. These are interesting but unimportant. The emotions accompanying them are what you must heal. 4—Heal the emotions by transforming them into love. 5—Continue putting energy in until it stops flowing. 6—Do your grounding, cleansing and self healing. A shower and change of clothes helps immensely in getting rid of any sick energy you’ve picked up.

!6.5 Emotional or Mental Problems Emotional and mental disturbances are often the result of a false belief or story that a person is telling themselves. (You wouldn’t do that, would you? All your stories are true, right? Better examine them! From a different point of view.) The story goes around and around in their mind generating emotions. The emotions power the story. As the story goes on, it grows in power and intensity in a vicious circle of thought and emotion. To break the thought/emotion cycle:

1—Tell the story. 2—Notice what emotions come up when telling the story. 3—Notice where the emotions are in your body and any other characteristics such as color and feel that will help you focus on the emotion. 4—Tell the story repeatedly while using love, energy, the symbols and your Deity to change the rising emotions into love. Stop when no more emotions are triggered. 5—The story has now lost its power. Redesign the story, changing it from a negative story to a positive one. 6—Put love onto the new story, see the love energy making it very, very strong, beautiful and powerful. 7—See/feel the new story dissolving away the old story, replacing it. 8—Enjoy your new freedom.

16.6 Relationships Relationships are THE most difficult part of being human. If your relationship with the Divine is good, growing and prospering, then your relationships will probably sort themselves out. The good ones that allow you to grow in love will get better. The difficult ones that are restricting you may go. There is an exercise that’s been in use for a long time that helps you sort relationships out quickly. It’s called The Golden Throne. 1—Do exercise 12.2 to get focused in love. 2—Connect to your energy sources and Deity. 3—See a Golden Throne of pure love just above the flower in your heart. 4—Put the person of your choice on the throne.

5—Feel all of that person’s pain. NOT YOUR PAIN! Their pain. Feel all their anger, sadness and fear. 6—Use the waves of love in your heart, the symbols and your Deity to change all their pain into love. 7—Notice what has happened to your own heart. Your relationship may improve or be left behind. That’s not really important. What is of crucial importance is the healing that takes place in your own heart.

16.7 Substance Dependencies People suffering from substance withdrawal symptoms often experience very rapid recoveries after being treated with healing energy. A psychotherapist directing drug rehab centers in Florida has reported that detox times have been cut from days to only two hours. His facilities that were once a bedlam of noise are now peacefully quiet. The best approach is to give the sufferer an empowerment that will enable her to treat herself and others with the energy and to give her energy treatments. An intensive examination of the beliefs and stories (16.5) that caused the addictive behavior may be necessary to change behavior.

17. Creating Abundance

Most people just go to the energy and say, “Gimme the MONEY!” For these lazy fellows, buying a lottery ticket and energizing it may be the solution to all their problems. They might even win. But don’t count on it. It may be much more productive to: 1--Determine what kind of abundance you really want. 2--Create the conditions in your life that will bring a flow of prosperity. 3—Use energy to make it all happen. Benefits others have realized: A Japanese social worker said, “I’m not afraid anymore.” An Italian waitress said happily, “I’ve got power now.” A chronic, severely nervous Singaporean said in a tone of wonder, “I’m calm.” A Dutch film director said in amazement, “My anger is gone.”

An Englishman said delightedly, “I just sold my business for far more than I thought I could.”

17.2 What Kind of Abundance? If you will determine what activity gives you joy and satisfaction, you will be happy and motivated in your efforts to create. You can then plan your activities in the area of life that gives you the most satisfaction. You will be joyous in your work. This joyfulness will automatically attract to you the people and conditions that will generate abundance. Most people think of abundance in terms of financial rewards. Many other types of abundance may be more important. 1--A mother may consider that creating an abundance of children is more fulfilling than a career working for money. 2--A healer may desire an abundance of clients. She decides to forego charging high fees in favor of taking donations to increase client flow and keep her inner self more in tune with healing energy. 3--A student may reject a good job offer to continue higher studies, desiring an abundance of knowledge. 4--An artist or writer will find that using creative energy to produce an abundance of works will generate the money needed to support himself. 5--In our fast changing world, a businessman will need creativity to optimize business management skills, creating the conditions necessary for money to flow and grow. 6-- Abundant love is best generated by opening your heart and giving compassionate love unconditionally to all around you. This use of higher love automatically creates the conditions for other kinds of love to blossom and grow. Chapter 12 will help here. 7--A Spiritual seeker will want to create an abundance of the conditions necessary to further her Spiritual practice. These will be:

A--The necessary teachers at the proper times. B--A quiet place to practice. C--Good health. D--Sufficient food and rest. E--A way to serve and help others. An abundance of money may actually hinder her Spiritual growth process. Regardless of which type of abundance you desire, you will find that a plan to increase abundance will be helpful. A business man will need a business plan. A student will plan her education. A healer will need to plan her day so that she has sufficient time for the self healing that enables her to grow and keep her own energies high enough to deal with many clients.

16.3 Activating Your Shree Center of Creativity By practicing with creative energy daily, you will soon develop the ability to connect to and pull energy from the creative field anytime you need it. A daily practice is essential in developing and keeping your abilities. You will lose the ability to use this energy without practice, especially in the beginning. In the beginning, you will find it helpful to formally access creative energy by using the mediation technique below. Later, after more practice, you’ll develop the ability to tap into the energy simply by thinking of it. Silently chanting “Shree, Shree, Shree,” while seeing/feeling the power grow in your solar plexus will be enough to activate it anywhere at any time. The yellow ball of Shree creative energy is at the end of your breast bone, high in your solar plexus and about one third of the way back into your body. You activate it by chanting “Shreeeee,” while vibrating your nasal bone. You will feel corresponding vibrations in your solar plexus. Focus on the yellow ball. You may see it activate and grow with waves of energy coming out of it.

Expand these waves out into the Universal field of creativity and merge into it. Visualize or imagine what you want becoming physical with the waves flowing into it, powering it. Artists and writers will benefit by seeing these waves flowing into their work. 1--Sit in a relaxed position. 2--Gently focus your attention on your solar plexus. 3--Allow LOVE and GRATITUDE to fill you completely. This vastly increases the power. 4--Chant “Shreeeeee,” while vibrating your nose bone to activate yellow creative energy in your solar plexus. Alternatively you can chant the complete Lakshmi Mantra, “Om Shree maha Lakshmi yai svaha.” 5--See/feel the yellow energy expand out to fill your entire body and aura. 6--Expand the energy out until you connect into the universal field of creativity that permeates the entire Universe. 7--Ask for what you want and see it becoming real.

16.4 Money & Business Making money is good. Growing Spiritually is better. You can do both and help everyone around you grow at the same time. Examine your job or the product or service you’re selling by asking yourself these questions. 1--Does it provide real benefits to others? 2--Is it priced fairly --both to you and your customers? 3--Does it harm anyone in any way? 4--Does it harm our environment?

5-- Are you passionate about what you’re doing? If you’re unhappy with some of your answers, maybe you should look for another way to make money. If the honest answers to these questions are correct, you may safely use energy to grow your income. 1--Connect to your sources in an attitude of love for all beings and gratitude to the energy. 2--Energize yourself. 3--Cleanse and energize your business, job, service or product. Create a healing atmosphere of love and gratitude towards all beings involved and towards the energy. Remember that you are nothing without them. 4--Expand this atmosphere out into the area around your business, to the nearest subway, bus stop or parking area. Then expand it to include the whole city. (Or Internet.) 5--Create a special shower of cleansing and love in the entrance of your business that heals and energizes all who enter. Be very careful in your energy work NOT to control others or influence them to buy your product or service. Simply create an atmosphere of love and gratitude that allows all around you the freedom to make their own decision. You may be very surprised by what happens. An English businessman in Singapore said, “I sold my business for far more than I thought it was worth. I wasn’t even looking for a buyer. I was just going to close it. Now I have plenty of money to start the business I really want.”

In Conclusion Love and creativity are highly beneficial in the practical areas of life that other high energies don’t help us with. They also work very well for those wanting to build a strong base for amazingly powerful energies like kundalini, deeksha, and TM. Also, love very quickly cleans up issues released by other practices. I know I’m in danger of being branded a harpy, but I have to repeat the most important points in this book again. I may never get another chance. 1—Your mind can observe, control and transform subtle energy. 2--Love is the most important energy of all. 3--Gratitude and creativity are close seconds.

Each of you has your own Spiritual path that you have developed over many lifetimes of growth. You’ve got your own talents, abilities and blocks. A little guidance can help you sort yourself out much quicker than if you try to do it alone.

Chapter 2 What You’ll Need to be Successful: Five Preparations to ensure success. First. A place to meditate. You’ve got places to eat, work, sleep and bathe. These take care of your physical body. How much more important is your eternal Spiritual growth? Create a good place to do your practice. As I look around the small room that we’re currently living in here in Nepal, I see that my wife now has 27 pictures on display. They’re an eclectic mix of whatever Remedia has found inspiring: Jesus, Buddha, gurus, monks, my mother and two lovely crayon drawings that students gave us. There are statues of Kwan Yin and baby Krishna, two jade elephants, a laughing Buddha, an incense burner, an avocado seed sprouting on the altar corner, a lingam and yoni, a Shiva lingam, a pair of magnetic balls, various crystals, limes for warding off evil spirits, an altar cloth blessed by Bhagavan, a conch shell to blow, candles, a vajra, a Tibetan singing bowl and various talismans. We have pay for an extra ten kilos of baggage every time we fly to another country, just for her holy stuff. The payoff? We carry a Sacred Space full of good vibes that helps us to constantly be in the flow. Everyone has favorite methods to put them into a meditative “mood” that enables them to connect into flow deeper and faster. Sunset, sunrise, music, incense, pictures, symbols, statues of deities, an altar, a chant, a mudra, poetry,

and inspirational writings can all be incorporated into your meditation experience. Second. A time to meditate. I do my best meditation between 2 and 4 AM after my nightly toilet break. Remedia likes to get me up to start writing at 5 AM and then go back to sit on her bed for several hours of intense meditation and self healing. She enjoys a second meditation session before sleeping at night. Whatever time you choose, you MUST be consistent every day without fail. Each day builds on the next. Missed days break the momentum, which takes several days to regain. A little bit is a whole lot better than none. Every second you spend in meditation produces immense benefits that keep the growth going and ripple throughout your whole day. Taking a few minutes several times a day for quickie meditations are a great way to keep momentum going. Good exercises for this are silently chanting So Hum, doing Pranayama, a little grounding or a few minutes of gazing. Third. A healing system. Chakra work is all about releasing blocks and growing your psychic vision and abilities. As inevitable, difficult, negative energies surface inside you, you’re going to come face to face with your issues –your garbage. A good healing system will give you the tools you need to recognize and deal with your “stuff” as it arises. What is “stuff?” “Stuff” is the garbage we all carry around –suppressed emotions, stories going around in our heads, beliefs, concepts, vows, past traumatic experiences and past life karmas. The purpose of intense chakra work is to clean out all this “stuff” so that you can see, experience and live in reality.

A good healing system is necessary to heal these issues as they arise. If you heal them as they arise, you may be able avoid the notion that you’re losing your sanity. Releasing issues can create turbulent storms in our thoughts and emotions. Reiki, Chi Gong or Pranic Healing are all good places to start learning about healing. Our online courses incorporate healing methods for dealing with each type of issue that will arise. Fourth. Avoid addiction to peak experiences. They’re nice, but the aim of meditation is to smooth out life, to be in a continuous flow of simply “being” without peaks of delight and valleys of depression. Visions, miraculous healing, trances, awakenings and muscle spasms may be experienced as well as the lows, but do not be attached to any of these. They’re valuable because they keep us interested, but they’re just happenings. Steady growth is preferable. Interestingly, the time when the most progress is made is when meditation is the most difficult to stick with. Small gains under difficult conditions bring real, solid progress. Fifth. Love. Love is the most important element of your practice. Love your chakras. Love your inner garbage that teaches you so much as you use love to transform it into more love. Love makes you smile inside; love keeps you inspired and going. Love grows metta and enables forgiveness. Bring love into your whole practice. Love is the key to entering into the essence of life, which is the core of your inner being –which is no different than God, the Divine Soul or The Source.

Chakra work is all about uncovering and then growing that Divine inner essence that’s already inside you, just waiting for your joyful discovery.

Chapter 3 Basic Info That You May Already Know A little background information will provide a basic framework that will help prepare your intellectual mind to accept the energy exercises. I’ll be brief here because the purpose of this book is to give you the practices, but I do provide links so that you can access more information. Chakra is a word from Sanskrit that means “wheel” or “disc.” In the context of yoga and meditation, chakras are radiant discs of spinning psychic energy. These spinning discs are located inside the physical body, stacked one atop the other like seven plates or wheels. The energy body that contains the chakras underlies the physical and emotional bodies and forms a template for them. The first chakra is at the base of the body, just above the perineum, the smooth strip of skin between the sexual organs and anus. The rest are stacked above it, centered just in front of the spine. The last of the seven major chakras is on top of the head. Subtle energy, or psychic energy, is what the energy body is composed of. Subtle energies are defined as those energies whose particles are too small for modern science to observe or measure. David Bohm,a quantum physicist, contributed greatly to knowledge about subtle energies. Cleve Backster’ss experiments demonstrate the ability of thoughts, which are composed of subtle energy, to affect plant growth and health. Your awareness mind has the ability to observe and control subtle energy. It just takes a little practice and maybe a teacher –kind of like learning a new language or how to use a computer. With enough time and effort, you can figure it out for yourself, but a good teacher takes away most of the pain involved in learning.

The energy body consists of: 1. The aura 2. 72,000 nadhis, also called meridians or energy channels 3. The chakras -7 major chakras and 82,000 minor chakras, both inside and outside the physical body. 4. The 3 Tan Tiens (Dan Tiens) which are empty spaces inside the body out of which energy comes. The aura is the field of energy surrounding the physical body. This field can extend out many meters from the body. All of the information about all the lives we’ve lived and this present life are encoded in this field. The colors in it change constantly as thoughts and emotions change. Light colors like white, blue, green, gold, violet and light red indicate good health. Darker colors like dirty white, gray, brown, black and dark red or dark green indicate blockages and damage that must be cleared and repaired. Nadhis are flowing channels of subtle energy inside the physical body. When the nadhis are clear and clean, psychic energy can flow smoothly. Vibrant good health results. Where they are blocked, physical, emotional and mental ill health results. The most important nadhis, or energy channels, that you’ll work with in this guide are: 1. Shushumma, or the back channel, which runs up the hollow tube in the center of your spinal cord. 2. The central channel, which runs from the center of the top of the skull straight down through the center of your body to the perineum.

3. The front channel which runs down the center of the front of your body from the top of the head to the perineum. It’s 1 or 2 centimeters beneath the surface of the skin. 4. The belt channels run all the way around each chakra, one or two centimeters beneath the skin. They keep chakras aligned and sealed, protecting the chakra and preventing precious energy from leaking away. Tan Tiens are empty spaces deep inside you. They allow you to access energy at the most basic level. Tiny energy particles flash out of and disappear back into emptiness, existing for less than a nano second. All phenomenon in our universe is composed of these tiny particles. Your Tan Tiens give you never ending sources of these tiny, powerful energy particles. The Lower Tan Tien is located about 2 inches below your navel and one third of the way back into your body. We’ll work with the Lower Tan Tien when we do the Microcosmic Orbit exercise. It powers up your entire energy system very quickly. The Middle Tan Tien is in your chest cavity. The Heart Lotus appears in your Middle Tan Tien, enabling universal love to grow and flow. The Upper Tan Tien is inside your skull where your brain is. As your practice grows, crystal structures grow on the skull bones here. These crystals enable you to process, transmit and transform energy. Taken all together, the aura, nadhis, chakras and tan tiens form a complete energy system. Yang, or Celestial energy, enters the system through Sahasrara chakra on top of the head. Yin, or Earthly energy, enters through Mooladhara chakra at the base of the body. After entering, energy travels throughout the system through the nadhis. The chakras process the energy and propel it along.

Just as chakras, nadhis and the aura influence mental, physical and emotional well being, these facets of us also affect the energy body. If the thoughts are disturbed, the emotions are turbulent or the physical body is in distress, the energy system closes up and becomes unable to process sufficient psychic energy to ensure vibrant good health. When the energy system is happy, healthy and has sufficient energy, it’s bright, radiant and colorful. So are we. If it’s blocked up with cravings, suppressed emotions or wild thoughts the system becomes dull and sluggish. So do we. It’s very important to do one or more meditation exercises to clean and grow the system. 1. Meditating on each chakra while visualizing its color and chanting its meditation sound is very helpful to familiarize yourself with the chakra. 2. Sending Love into each chakra is very beneficial. 3. Chanting So Hum while doing different exercises grounds, relaxes and stabilizes all. 4. Chanting the variations of “Om Shiva ya na ma” cleanses chakras very deeply on all levels. 5. The Micro Cosmic Orbit exercise clears and grows the main nadhis while balancing and pumping up the entire system. It can also take you to Realization. 6. The Kundalini is best for growing chakras fast. This exercise brings very rapid Spiritual growth that can take you all the way to Realization and beyond.

Chapter 4 Your Chakras Chakras are whirling vortexes of highly concentrated energy. Each chakra grants specific abilities and governs specific functions. When the chakras are healthy and balanced, you’re able to use those abilities and the functions related to the chakra perform well. The size and the health of your chakras governs their ability to process energy. This directly influences the amount of psychic energy that can flow through your entire system. As the amount of psychic energy being processed increases, your ability to go into deeper states of meditation and do increasingly powerful energy work grows. Using energy healing in your chakras will bring permanent benefits. Using crystals, sounds or essential oils are good aids, but, when used alone without energy, they won’t be very effective. The absolute best healing method for chakras is to work in them with both Heavenly energy from above and Earthly energy from below. You’ll need to: 1. Cleanse away any dark areas, emotions or cords 2. Ground out any dirty or excess energy 3. Heal any damaged areas 4. Balance Yin and Yang in the chakra 5. Repair and align the belt channel protecting the chakra on the lower 5 chakras. The upper 2 chakras have no belt channel. They are completely open to the universe.

Each chakra has its own name, color, location and area of influence as described below. We begin with the base chakra and work our way up to establish a strong foundation and structure to support each level of your practice as you go higher. I know, I know. EVERYONE wants to skip the bottom and start at the top to get as high as possible as fast as possible. Sadly, Spiritual growth just doesn’t work like that. There are shortcuts to Realization like Kundalini, Deeksha and Shaktipat. But even with these powerful energies, you still have to clean up your garbage and build your structure. Then you’ll be able to go higher than you ever dreamed possible and stay there stably. After you know a little about each chakra, we’ll start with the meditations. Please notice that the meditation sound and the activation sound are a little different for most chakras. Mooladhara Chakra 1st Base or Root Physical Layer Worldly Knowledge & Function Adrenal glands Color: Red Meditation sound: Lum or Lam Activation sound: Lang Mooladhara has your connection to Mother Earth’s Yin energy that grounds and roots you. Good energy flow in Mooladhara chakra is absolutely essential to your ability to go into higher meditations safely and to be stable there. It’s

also critical for functioning in the physical world –for being able to bring the blessings of ALL the other chakras into fruition here and now. Mooladhara chakra is on the perineum, which is the flat strip of skin between our sexual organs and anus at the very base of our bodies. Its color is red. It governs knowledge in the physical plane. It’s here that the column of Yin energy connecting us to Mother Earth enters us. A strong flow of Earth energy entering and being pumped through a well functioning base chakra gives us the ability to perform well in physical existence. We do well in our education, career, athletics and all other worldly endeavors. The attributes of all the other chakras can express themselves freely in this world through a healthy Mooladhara Chakra. Blocks or imbalances in the root chakra, its belt channel or in the column of Earthly energy entering the chakra can cause problems in any of the areas above. Physical health issues may manifest related to the skeleton, large intestine, skin, renal and regenerative systems. Some symptoms may be: hemorrhoids, constipation, brittle bones, arthritis, eczema, psoriases, frequent illness, slow recovery from illness and accident proneness. Other symptoms may be confusion, insecurity, ungroundedness, spaciness, fearfulness or a lack of purpose. Healing focus in Mooladhara chakra is on clearing and opening the chakra, connecting it to Mother Earth, grounding and increasing stability, will, security and physical energy. Crystals that strengthen and heal Mooladahara chakra are: 1. Black Tourmaline 2. Black Obsidian 3. Smoky Quartz Hematite

1. Element Earth 2. Astrological sign Capricorn 3. Astrological Planet Mars 4. Deity is Ganesh 5. Sense organ is the nose 6. Sense is the smell Swadishtana Chakra 2nd Sacral Emotional Layer Sex Subconscious Desires Sexual Organs Color: Orange Meditation sound: Vum or vam Activation sound: Vang Swadishtana chakra is behind our pubic bone back near the spine. It’s orange and governs our emotions, desires, subconscious and sexual energy. A well functioning sacral chakra aids in having: 1. A free flow of emotions. You consciously experience and release emotions as they occur instead of burying them inside yourself. 2. The ability to see and clear subconscious issues and patterns. 3. Healthy sexual relationships, practices and procreation. 4. Desires are present in a healthy way. Blocks or imbalances in the sacral chakra, or in its belt channel, can cause problems in any of the areas above. These issues then spill over into the other chakras, causing them and their associated areas to have malfunctions.

For instance, if you have a lot of fear suppressed in Swadishtana chakra, that fear can rise up to the next chakra, Manipura, and impair your personal power so that you cannot get out to find a job. Fear rising up to Anahata, the heart, could make you afraid to enter into personal relationships. In Vishuddhi, the throat chakra, the suppressed fear arising from Swadishtana could cause you to experience communication difficulties. Physical symptoms of a blocked second chakra can be problems with the lymphatic system, lower back, menstruation, reproductive organs, fertility, difficult child birth, pre/post natal crises. Other symptoms can be: sexual problems or dysfunction, fear of sexual intimacy, fear of emotional intimacy, infidelity, being needy or withdrawn, emotional issues, an inability to consciously feel or express emotion, uncontrollable cravings. Healing focus in Swadishtana chakra is on using energy to heal emotions, subconscious, sexuality, desires and reproduction. Crystals that strengthen and heal Swadishtana chakra are: 1. Carnelian 2. Pearl 3. Garnet 4. Moonstone 5. Calcite –orange or honey 6. Turquoise –blue-green 7. Flourite--blue-green 8. Vanadinite Essential oils that can help Swaishtana chakra are: 1. Bergamot

Manipura Chakra 3rd Upper Abdomen Mental or Intellectual Area Personal Power Pancreas Color: Yellow Meditation sound: Rum or Ram Activation sound: Rang Manipura chakra is yellow and located one or two inches above the navel. It is NOT in the solar plexus as many writers mistakenly proclaim. The much brighter round yellow ball at the base of the sternum in the solar plexus is actually the Shree center of creativity and abundance. Our personal power resides in Manipura chakra. It is the seat of the ego. A well functioning Manipura chakra aids self confidence, self esteem, self worth, individual expression, a balanced ego and the power to accomplish goals without harming others. (Yes, some ego is necessary for Realized people so that goals can be accomplished,)

Blockages and imbalances in the 3rd chakra can result in raised levels of cholesterol, heart diseases, diabetes, ulcers, hepatitis, rheumatoid arthritis, and poor eyesight. Suppressing Manipura can cause imbalanced digestion, bad sleep and increased irritability. Other issues may be low self esteem, low self worth, a lack of power, weak intellect, illogical craving for power and supremacy, abuse of power, arrogance, nervousness, stress, addictions, rebelliousness. A broken or weak belt channel around Manipura chakra allows leakage of precious personal energy, resulting in fatigue and lack of will. Healing focus here is on balancing intellect, ambition, personal power and protection. Crystals that strengthen and heal Manipura chakra are: 1. Citrine 2. Yellow Jasper 3. Golden Calcite 4. Tiger 5. Sun Stone 6. Pyrite Essential oils that can help here are: 1. Black Pepper 2. Cedarwood 3. Cinnamon 4. Clove 5. Coriander

6. Cypress 7. Geranium 8. Ginger 9. Grapefruit 10. Juniper 11. Lemongrass 12. Mandarin 13. Peppermint 14. Petitrain 15. Rosemary 16. Sandalwood 17. Spearmint 18. Vetiver 19. Anahata 4th Heart Astral Layer Personal Relationships Thymus Gland Color: Green sometimes with pink mixing in Meditation sound: Yum or Yam Activation sound: Yang Anahata chakra is behind the breastbone at heart level. Love emanates from our heart chakra, going out to all around us. Love generated in the heart is the gateway to higher consciousness. A well functioning Anahata chakra gives emotional balance, the ability to love unconditionally, success in handling personal relationships, self love and access to Universal love and the wonderful ability to heal yourself and others with love that transforms all other emotions into love. Physical symptoms of blocks or imbalances in the Heart chakra could be any problem with the heart, blood pressure, blood volume, blood circulation, lungs, tension, cramps and spasms. Other issues may be: attachments to people and material things, possessiveness, exaggerated self importance or selfishness, unable to give or receive unconditional love, jealous, hateful, grief stricken, excessive loneliness, depression, or broken hearted. Healing focus is on using pure Universal love to transform EVERYTHING in the Heart chakra into unconditional love that grows by pouring out to all. Crystals that strengthen and heal Anahata chakra are: 1. Rose Quartz 2. Pink/Rubellite Tourmaline 3. Watermelon Tourmaline

4. Green Aventurine 5. Malachite 6. Jade 7. Zircon 8. Diamond 9. Peridot 10. Malachite Essentials oils that can help are 1. Bergamot 2. Cypress 3. Geranium 4. Jasmine 5. Lavender 6. Lemon 7. Mandarin 8. Melissa 9. Neroli 10. Orange 11. Rose 12. Sandalwood 13. Tangerine

Vishuddi Chakra 5th Throat Etheric Layer Purity Thyroid Color: Blue Meditation sound: Hum or Ham Activation sound: Hang Vishuddi chakra is located at the base of the throat. The color is usually blue. It governs all forms of communication, the immune system, thyroid and parathyroid and all growth and development of the physical body. A healthy, well functioning Throat chakra grants us the ability to communicate effectively. We’re able to share thoughts, feelings, opinions and desires. We also have the abilities to hear, listen to and understand those around us. Vishuddi chakra influences verbal communication, body language and all other communication skills. We become expressive, a good listener, honest, patient and receptive to criticism and divine guidance.

Suppressing speech, emotions or thoughts is the most common cause of malfunction in Vishuddi chakra. Imbalance or blockage here results in physical symptoms like loss of voice or hoarseness, goiter, sore throat, ringing in the ears, temporary loss of voice, thyroid trouble, and even throat cancer. Other issues that may arise are: poor communication skills, fear of speaking up, repressing emotions, uncontrolled outbursts, deceit, being manipulative, shy or talking excessively and unable to listen. Suppression of expression of thoughts and emotions leads to malfunctioning of all chakras below Vishuddi. Unexpressed emotions build up throughout the body. Healing focus is on using pure Universal Love to transform all the issues and emotions blocked in and below the Throat chakra. Communication skills blossom. Crystals that strengthen and heal Vishuddi chakra are: 1. Aquamarine 2. Amonzonite 3. Sodalite 4. Blue Calcite 5. Blue Kyanite 6. Angelite 7. Blue Turquoise Essential oils that can help here are: 1. Ajneya Chakra 6th Third Eye Celestial Layer Limitless Power Pituitary Color: Indigo Meditation sound: Aum Activation sound: Aum Ajneya chakra is the seat of our psychic and mental powers. The usual color is indigo. Also called the Third Eye, Ajneya is located behind the center of the forehead above and between the eyebrows. The center of Ajneya chakra is deep in the brain’s base where the pineal gland is located.

Blocks and imbalances in the Third Eye can result in health issues related to the endocrine glands and general allergies. Other problems can be: unsympathetic, lacking empathy, indecisiveness, judgmental, a general dullness or sluggishness, overly intellectual, lacking Intuition, lacking common sense, forgetful, issues related to sleep, dreams and nightmares. A healthy, well functioning Third Eye is constantly growing and expanding through being used to do meditation and psychic work. DAILY practice brings the benefits of wisdom, Spiritual awareness, intuition, a clear memory, increased learning speed, good common sense, dream work and psychic powers. Union with the Universal Intelligence occurs when Ajneya is fully open. You begin learning directly from I AM, then becoming I AM. With enough meditation and energy work, the ganglia connecting the two halves of the brain grow bigger and stronger until the brain is fused into one whole. You go into Super Consciousness. (Read Sri Aurobindo’s writings.) Being in Super Consciousness feels like the whole head above the eyebrows and ears disappears. The entire Universe replaces it. Ajneya and Sahasrara chakras expand until they become one huge chakra without limits. Healing Focus is on constantly examining the stories going around and around in your mind and the emotions these stories trigger. Using healing energy exercises to transform the emotions and change the stories clears your mind and psychic vision. Crystals that strengthen and heal Ajneya chakra are: 1. Lapis Lazuli 2. Azurite 3. Sugilite 4. Sodalite

5. Flourite Essential oils that can help here are: 1. Angelica Root 2. Bay Laurel 3. Clary Sage 4. Camphor 5. Cypress 6. Elemi 7. Frankincense 8. Helichrysum 9. Juniper 10. Marjoram 11. Patchouli 12. Rosemary 13. Sandalwood 14. Vetiver Other associations are: 1. Elements are all 5 2. Astrological sign Saggittarius Pisces 3. Astrological Planet Jupiter 4. Deity Shiva

5. Sense organ Mind 6. Sense Sixth Sense Sahasrara Chakra 7th Crown Ketheric Layer Thousand Petal Lotus Pineal Gland Color: Violet sometimes gold or white mixes in Meditation sound: The silence experienced after Om Activation sound: Ogum satiyom om Sahasrara is the crown chakra. It’s located on top of the head. Its color is usually violet with varying amounts of gold or white. This is our spirituality. It’s here that the slender white energy cord bringing celestial energies down into our beings enters us. In Sahasrara chakra, Kundalini and Shakti (the most basic form of Yin) coming up from below merge with Shiva (Yang) from above. Enlightenment occurs when this chakra fully opens and becomes the lovely thousand petal lotus of rainbow light. When Realization comes, the energy cord entering Sahasrara becomes cone shaped with the large end of the cone continually expanding outward until you’re completely enveloped in Celestial knowing. The center of this chakra shifts downward to the base of the brain where the pineal and pituitary glands are. A diamond crystal forms. A thousand rainbow colored rays of light shoot out of the diamond in all directions. The violet energy of Sahasrara contains all colors in the light spectrum and governs all senses. The chakra has all pervading power. It is the point of void, of super consciousness, that contains all dualities and merges them. When Sahasrara chakra is balanced and healthy, spiritual life is balanced with secular life. You KNOW that life has purpose, you feel connected with a higher

power and become wise and insightful. Enlightenment occurs here; cosmic consciousness becomes your normal state. A closed or unbalanced crown chakra can result in feeling unspiritual or separate or alone in the universe. You may also be unclear about life or purpose, unbalanced spiritually or be excessively afraid of death. You may feel unloved by God, be angry at our Creator or have a God complex. Healing focus in Sahasrara chakra is on strengthening the energy cord bringing Celestial (Siva or Yang) energy down into the chakra, then clearing all blocks and expanding the chakra out to include the entire Universe. You merge with and become one with the Universe. Crystals that strengthen and heal Sahasrara chakra are: 1. Amethyst 2. Clear quartz 3. Purple Fluorite 4. White Calcite 5. White Topaz Essential oils that help here are 1. Cedar wood 2. Frankincense 3. Galbanum 4. Gurjum 5. Helichrysum 6. Jasmine 7. Lavender

8. Myrrh 9. Neroli 10. Rose 11. Rosewood 12. Sandalwood 13. Spikenard 14. Vetiver Other associations are: 1. Element --Beyond all elements 2. Astrological sign Aquarius 3. Astrological Planet Saturn 4. Deity --Beyond all forms and names 5. Sense organ --Beyond all senses 6. Sense --Beyond all sense

Chapter 5 Chakra Meditations The stages of practice are –preparations, warm-ups, main practice, cooling down, coming back into the physical and bringing your inner stillness with you into your daily activities. Do this by being mindfully relaxed in the flow while “doing.” If you are aware of both your inner world and outward happenings at the same time, you’re getting it right.

1. Building Chakra Awareness Seated is the best posture for this exercise. Abdominal breathing helps greatly. Resting in Savasana afterwards is nice. Meditate on each chakra in turn beginning with Mooladhara, the base or root chakra on your perineum. Visualize its color and softly chant its meditation sound, NOT its activation sound. As you chant the meditation sound, allow the sound to develop naturally and express itself as it needs to. The sound will regulate its own length and the length of pauses. When the chakra has had enough, move up to the next chakra. Holding a hand over the chakra you’re working on may aid your visualization. 1. Begin with Mooladhara chakra. It’s red. Its location is on your perineum. Softly chant Lum or Lam while visualizing the red chakra. 2. Swadishtana is orange. It’s behind your pubic bone, back near your spine. Softly chant Vum or Vam while visualizing the orange chakra.

3. Manipura is yellow. It’s one or two inches above your navel, back near your spine. It’s not the Shree center at the base of your sternum. Softly chant Rum or Ram while visualizing the yellow chakra. 4. Anahata is green. It’s behind your sternum at heart level. Softly chant Yum or Yam while visualizing the green chakra. 5. Vishuddi is blue. It’s at the base of your throat near the spine. Softly chant Hum or Ham while visualizing the blue chakra. 6. Ajneya is indigo. It’s behind your forehead, centered on your pineal gland in the base of your brain. Softly chant Aum while visualizing the blue chakra. 7. Sahasrara is violet. It’s on top of your head where the four skull plates join. Visualize the violet chakra. Softly chant Om and go into the silence after Om. Experience the vastness of the silence. Disappearing into the empty vastness of that silence is a great blessing that may come to you with practice. Rest in Savasana.

2. Loving Your Chakras Filling your chakras with the pure energy of love will grow love in all the aspects of your being that are governed by your chakras. Begin growing love with the Flowering Heart meditation. Then send a stream of love into each chakra in turn. Watch the chakra light up and become very happy. Growing Love is one of the most important aspects of Spiritual growth. Practicing Flowering Heart enables you to begin experiencing and using the all powerful energy of pure Love. You become able to heal yourself and others. You can easily send the real energy of love from your heart flower into your chakras. Loving your chakras will help you see, cleanse and grow them.

Sitting comfortably on a chair or on the floor is the best position for this meditation exercise.

Please use the Heart Mudra shown above (Mudra means hand position). Look at the picture of the Buddha sitting comfortably relaxed with his hands in his lap, palms up, right hand on top of the left with his fingers pointing towards his wrists and the tips of his thumbs gently touching each other. Sit like comfortably like the Buddha, and you will see that your arms are now forming a circle –a circle of Love. The pure energy of Love can now flow around and around your arms, across your chest and through your heart in a circle. As you sit observing the energy, it will grow in strength and speed. The circle of Love flows around your arms in both directions at the same time, forming a counter rotating field of Love energy. When the energy reaches a certain speed, you shift into the quantum state. You can gain access to very deep states of meditation quickly.

You must always do the first meditation (Exercise I) before proceeding. Exercise 1. Flowering Heart This exercise is very simple. You should always do it before working with other energies because you’ll be much less likely to misuse energy to harm yourself or others if you’re focused in Love. The Heart Lotus appears in your Middle Tan Tien, not in Ajneya your heart chakra. Don’t worry too much about this distinction in the beginning. It will become more apparent as your practice develops. In the beginning, it’s enough to just visualize the lovely flower opening. 1. Be comfortably seated. 2. Use abdominal breathing. 3. Hold your hands in the Heart Mudra in your lap, palms up, one on top of the other with the tips of your thumbs touching each other. 4. Focus your mind softly on the center of your chest at heart level. 5. Become aware of any energy or emotion. 6. See/feel a beautiful flower opening. 7. See/feel waves of Love coming out of the flower. 8. The waves of Love fill your whole heart and chest before flowing down your arms to form the circle of Love. 9. Rest in Love while observing the energy flowing around and around the circle of Love formed by your arms. Observe that Love energy flows both directions through the same space at the same time. From this basic meditation, you can go on to many other uses for Love. Love really does heal all. Its use is limited only by your imagination.

Your mind controls energy. Your mind can tell energy where to go, what to do there, even what kind of energy it should be. You have the ability to simply tell one kind of energy to change to another. The energy must obey your mind. Exercise 2. Chakra Love 1. Do the Flowering Heart Meditation above. 2. Send a stream of love into each chakra in turn, beginning with Mooladhara, your base chakra. 3. See the love energy dissolving away any darkness as it fills and expands the chakra. 4. Expand the chakra out until you can see the belt channel. 5. Strengthen and heal the belt channel before moving on to your next chakra. As you continue working daily with the energy of pure Love, your inner Divinity will begin awakening, responding to the cleansing and growing Love in your heart.

3. So Hum You can chant the ancient mantra So Hum to strengthen the connections between your chakras while growing and balancing them. So Hum is chanted silently, in your mind. Chant So on the in breath. Chant Hum on the out breath. Practice a little right now. It’s easy. You may notice that So is invigorating while Hum is relaxing. You can do this simple, silent exercise anywhere anytime for a quick, delightful shift. No one will know you’re energizing and calming yourself.

When you do the chakra exercise, you’ll draw energy up into the chakra on the in breath as you chant So. Then you’ll allow energy to fall back down to the chakra below on the out breath as you chant Hum. Do 9 repetitions for each chakra. If a chakra is weak, you can add additional sets of 9 for that chakra. Sitting is best for this exercise. Please use abdominal breathing. 1. Focus on Mother Earth below. Breathe in while chanting So and drawing cool Earth energy up into red Mooladhara chakra. Breath out while chanting Hum and allowing the energy to return to Mother Earth. Do 9 Repetitions. 2. Focus on orange Swadishtana chakra. Breathe in while chanting So and drawing energy up into Swadishtana from Moolladhara chakra. Relax and allow the energy to cool. Laying down in Savasana, the Yoga Death pose may help you cool and absorb the energy.

4. Micro Cosmic Orbit The micro cosmic orbit exercise generates large amounts of energy very quickly. It powers most Chi Gong exercises. It’s also the power generator behind the Quantum Touch healing system. You can boost power levels greatly by consciously connecting your crown chakra to heavenly energy and your base chakra to earthly energies before running your orbit. Your mind moves energy around your orbit, which is located inside your body. You must close two gaps. 1. With your teeth together, place the tip of your tongue on the rough ridges of skin that are on the roof of your mouth just behind your front teeth. When you find this spot, it may feel like you plugged your tongue into energy. This allows energy to flow down your front channel. 2. Tighten your PC muscle (the figure eight shaped muscle around the base of your sexual organs and anus), closing your base chakra. This prevents energy escaping out of your base chakra. After the preparations above are complete, the actual exercise is very simple: 1. Focus on Mooladhara chakra. 2. Breathe in and pull energy up your spine through your back channel and around the inside of your skull to Sahasrara chakra. 3. Breathe out and send the energy down the inside of your face and down the front of your body through your central channel to Mooladhara chakra.

4. Continue pulling the energy up your spine and sending it down your front, around and around for 9 breaths. You can do a many sets of 9 as you want. Another variation of the micro cosmic orbit strengthens your pearl of life force energy and stores energy in your Lower Tan Tien like a battery. You must find your pearl before doing the exercise. Your pearl lies deep in your lower Tan Tien which is about 2 inches below and behind your navel. The secret to finding your Tan Tien is looking for an empty space where there is nothing. By going deep within this empty space, you will find your brilliant pearl of life force energy. 1. Bring your pearl out to your navel. 2. Send it down around the base of your body, through the base chakra. 3. Send the pearl straight up your spine through your back channel and around the inside of your skull on the in breath. 4. Follow it down your front channel to your base chakra on the out breath where the next orbit begins automatically as your mind pulls the pearl up your spine again on the in breath. Do sets of nine revolutions. The pearl picks up heavenly Yang energy as it passes the crown chakra. It picks up earthly Yin as it passes the base chakra. After a few circuits you’ll be able to notice it glowing brighter and becoming bigger. You must replace your pearl in your lower tan tien when finished. Seal it by moving your hands in a circular motion over it just below your navel. First clockwise then counter-clockwise for men. First counter-clockwise then clockwise for women. At first you can run your micro cosmic orbit in sets of nine until you become used to the energy. Then you can run it continuously for longer periods.

You will need to pay close attention to grounding to rebalance your energy after running your micro cosmic orbit. Heat and excess energy can build up quite quickly.

5. Om Siva ya na ma This Siva mantra has very powerful cleansing effects when focused on the chakras. It fills each chakra in turn with clear light, dissolving impurities and expanding it. First memorize the entire mantra. Om Siva ya na ma Ya na va si ma Ma va ya na si Si ya na ma va Va si ma ya na Use the mantra by focusing on your chakras while chanting the mantra as detailed below. You will go around the chakras three times. The first time chant out loud. The second round chant softly. Chant silently the last round. You must begin at Ajneya chakra (Third Eye). Chant the mantra one time while focusing on the front of Ajneya chakra. After chanting the complete mantra at the front of Ajneya chakra, move down to the next chakra to chant again while focusing on the front of that chakra. Continue down, chanting the mantra at the front of each chakra until you reach Mooladhara chakra (Base or Root).

For Mooladhara, chant the mantra once while focusing on the front of the chakra, then once while focusing on the back of the chakra Proceed up the spine chanting the mantra at the back of each chakra until you reach the crown. Chant one time only for the crown chakra while focusing on the chakra's center. Begin again at the front of Ajneya chakra, chanting the mantra in a whisper as you go around your chakras again. Chant silently for the third round of your chakras. After you have completed three rounds of the chakras, you're finished. Remember to chant out loud for the first round, quietly for the second round and silently for the third round. Do no other energy practices for 6 hours. The effect may be deep cleansing and an expansion of consciousness.

6. Savasana –The Yoga Death Pose The Yoga Death Pose is necessary to cool down the tremendous energy that raising your Kundalini generates in your chakras. You will experience extreme adverse effects if you fail to cool your Kundalni. Savasana is very easy to practice, but it can be rather difficult to master. To master it, you must totally relax your entire body. Complete relaxation is the goal of Savasana. It is this relaxation that allows your system to absorb and assimilate energy.

1. Lay down flat on your back without a pillow. 2. Your arms should be comfortably straight beside you, but not touching your body. 3. Your hands are palms up. 4. Your legs are straight with the feet slightly apart. 5. Allow your toes to point outward slightly as your feet fall naturally into their most comfortable, relaxed position.

It may help you relax to think of your body as becoming heavy.

Spiritual Awakening! Chapter One Called Home Truths change, knowings increase, when mind pierces veils. nobody

October 19, 2006 Singapore Tears burst from my eyes. They streamed down my face, soaking my long white whiskers. Snot filled my mustache. I was crying for the first time in thirty years. Tough guys don't cry, especially ex marines. I wiped at my streaming tears, trying to hide them before Remy could come out of the kitchen and catch me blubbering. Suddenly a great wave of emotion swept through me that felt like homecoming. I was home! This was the first instance in my highly nomadic life that I had felt completely at home. When it faded I was enveloped in peace. I was finally at peace with myself, everyone else and the entire universe. Just before tears flooded my eyes, I had received an inner prompting to check out charismatic Christian healer Ron Roth's web site. On it was article written by Kiara Windrider that had triggered the highly unusual emotional response in me.

The article was about a place in India called the Oneness University and a Guru named Bhagawan. Over the next few days, I searched every website I could find about the Oneness Movement and sent e-mails to every address that popped up. Strangely, only one person answered. Krishna Kantha invited us to come to Thailand and stay with him to receive the preparatory teachings to attend the Oneness University.

October 29, 2006 Ban Thor Phan (Dream Weaver's Home) Sankraburi, Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand

Getting to Sankraburi from Bangkok was horrible. We were both exhausted and in pain from our various health problems. Krishna had been unable to pick us up in Bangkok as planned because his wife had become ill suddenly and was in hospital. His Bangkok based manager, Mrs. Lee, had also been engaged and unable to meet us as promised. The obstacles that block access to nearly every great learning experience had appeared. We were on our own. We got on a bus going to Kanchanaburi. Arriving after less than two hours, we called Krishna for instructions on getting to his place, thinking we were almost there.

I nearly lost my temper when he told me to leave the bus terminal and walk down the street to find some office to get a van for another ride of several hours. “Richard, just ask around and they'll tell you where it is,” came Krishna's terse instruction in response to my protests. Remy wasn't happy about the van ride. She gets motion sickness locked in a van with a dozen other people. However, a couple of pedicab drivers carried our bags to the van office for us, and we barely had time to buy snacks before it left. It was past mid-afternoon when the van dropped us at a small, roofed, wooden platform beside the street in the quiet little town of Sankraburi. Krishna was at the hospital with his wife, but he said on the phone that he'd pick us up in half an hour. That just gave Remy time to scurry around and find some of the barbecued chicken and fish balls skewered on bamboo sticks that are sold in nearly every Thai open air market. We hadn't eaten anything but a bag of chips all day. A car stopped across the street as we were finishing our hasty meal. A fairly young, small, slender Thai man dressed in a white shirt and white trousers got out and walked towards us. His powerful aura of clear, clean energy and joyful happiness were the first things I noticed about him. He greeted us warmly, helped Remy with our bags and shrugged off our questions about his sick wife. When we were in the car with the air con going, I asked where we were headed. “I'll take you home first. It's about twenty minutes. Then I have to pick up my children at school,” he said. “How many children do you have?” I asked, making polite conversation. “Twenty-three.” “You've got twenty-three kids!!?”

“Yes. They're orphans from all over Thailand.” I was tired, grouchy and hurting. I couldn't stop my mouth. “We both hate kids, and this time we landed in an orphanage with twenty-three kids.” He took it well, with a little smile, and we rode in silence for a ways. Ban Thor Phan is way out in the country in silent isolation. Krishna's simple, open air home sits directly on the bank of a large fish pond about seventy meters long. Many small bungalows hide among trees and flowering shrubs. He led us to the most substantial of these--a two story orange brick place with balconies, a tiled patio and a wandering fish pond. I balked when I saw that I would have to cross the pond on large, tiled stepping stones. A motorcycle accident twenty--three years earlier had taken my right arm, paralyzed most of my left arm and left my lower body without much sensation. Over the past ten years, my ability to walk had become so poor that I could barely hobble across the Krishna's smooth yard. We had left my wheelchair in Bangkok. “Isn't there anything else?” I implored. “Nothing with a toilet inside. Come. You can do it,” Krishna urged me. I peered around the bushes looking for another way. “It's the only way,” he said. “Come. I help you.” Remy grabbed my arm and steadied me. We reached the patio on the other side of the waer safely. Krishna ushered us toward a wide staircase. “It's upstairs,” I complained, looking at the downstairs room.

“The only room with toilet is upstairs. The other toilet is back across the fishpond,” Krishna explained patiently. Remy took my arm again, and I hobbled up the stairs one at a time.

October 31, 2006 We received our first Deeksha sessions from Krishna Kantha and one of his students yesterday. Deeksha is very different from all the other energies we have experienced. We've both been Reiki teachers for many years and practice Chi Gong and Tibetan Buddhism daily. These Deeksha vibrations are extremely fine and operate on much more subtle levels than our energy practices. Remy said the energy feels like nothing. I agree. Clear nothing. Feeling this energy is like almost being able to see something that's invisible. You know it's there, but can't quite make it out. Remy got a lot more out of the morning session than I did. She experienced some release of old negative energies she had been hanging on to. She was already able to see Sri Bhagavan in her mind afterward. All I got was a very deep relaxation that left my body sleeping and snoring while my mind was fully awake, enjoying the sound of the crystal bowls that Krishna plays so beautifully. The vibrations of the bowls reverberated throughout my entire being. The rest of the day we were quiet. Colors were a little brighter and objects were a little sharper around the edges. I felt a little energy moving around some blocks in my legs, but nothing much. I was disappointed. After all the build up that God had led me through to get me here, Deeksha wasn't much.

It was certainly nothing like Luang Paw Kai's earth shattering Golden Fire empowerments that had left me sleepless for days and able to see deeply into the crystalline energy structure of every object I looked at while my mind explored the mysteries of the universe. Before lunch, Krishna showed us a video of interviews with other people who had experienced Deeksha. Several of them mentioned that they hadn't gotten much from their first session either, but had enjoyed a much more profound experience from the second one later in the day. I asked Krishna about it. "It depends on your karma. One young man from Los Angeles came to India, went through the twenty-one day process and felt nothing. He said that he'd had Deeksha a hundred times and gotten nothing. It just depends on when the energy is able to work its way through the blocks to you. You'll get much more tonight," he promised me. “What are the blocks?” I asked. “Defilements that veil your mind.” That evening Krishna had us each hold a bottle of water in our hands while we impregnated it with any wish we wanted. He then poured the water into two of his crystal bowls. We lay down in the death pose again while he sang the chants with his wonderful voice and played the bowls. It took some time for the vibrations to clear the usual chatter from my mind. When they started to work through it, my first thoughts to arise were shockingly negative. "Smash Krishna's bowls," my mind screamed. I immediately suppressed the evil thought. Then my mind said, "Don't force it down. Let it run. See where it goes." It came right back, "Smash Krishna's bowls. Trash Bhagavan's picture. Spit on his silver slippers."

I experienced the thoughts and accompanying emotions of violence fully, then sent it all out of my body to the universe, far, far away. The only sensations left in me were the vibrations of the crystal bowls. Then pain arose in my abdomen. I looked with my mind's eye and saw some dark, black energy releasing. When it was gone, whitish gold began filling my body. It slowly turned dark gold until I was gold. Then it disappeared, leaving only my mind and the vibrations filling it. Slowly a small golden ball appeared in the center of my brain. It was nebulous and faint at first, but it grew stronger until concentric rings of golden energy pulsed steadily out of it through my whole mind. The vibrations changed. I opened my eyes slightly to see Krishna holding a crystal bowl over my body while he played it. When he moved to the top of my head, I could feel the vibrations entering my crown chakra and clearing my mind until only Emptiness remained. He did the same to Remy, and then he asked us to sit up to receive Deeksha. This time the energy filled me like an empty vessel. I consciously sucked in as much as I could over and over, trying to fill every space in all my bodies with this power that felt like nothing. After receiving Deeksha Krishna asked us to relate our experiences. Remy said that she had released a lot of what felt like anesthetic that had remained stuck in her throat after her hysterectomy nearly seven months before. "I saw Bhagavan, and then I saw Amma walking towards me, but when I opened my eyes it was Ranchita coming to give me Deeksha," she continued. When Krishna heard her speak these words, he joyfully clapped his hands together in an attitude of prayer, bowed toward AmmaBhagavan's picture and thanked them both profusely for coming. "Well, I didn't get to see AmmaBhagavan. I'm jealous. You got more than me," I said and everyone laughed happily. Krishna looked at me seriously.

"You wished for your spinal cord to be healed," he stated. I started to ask him how he could possibly know my secret, untold wish, but I quickly realized what a stupid question it would be. "Was my wish granted?" I asked instead. "It exists," came his curious, nebulous answer. Remy told him about the elbow that I had broken June first taking so long to heal. He reached over and wrapped both hands around it. His hands got very hot very quickly. They felt hot enough to burn my skin through my denim shirt. Then they cooled off just as quickly. I was quite surprised and pleased. A Reiki cycle like that would have taken ten minutes or more and would not have reached near the intensity. I then related my own experience. When I came to the part about the golden ball in the center of my brain, Krishna clapped his hands together again. "That's Bhagavan!" he exclaimed. Overcome with joy for me, his perpetual grin got even bigger and he thanked Bhagavan again. A little puzzled by the strength of his reaction, I asked, "Don't all your students receive what we did?" He hesitated a little. "Wellll. Yes." "Then there's nothing special about me. I'm just normal like everyone else." "You're very special or you wouldn't be here, and I wouldn't be teaching you." "I'm certainly feeling very special and especially blessed tonight," I replied. Everyone laughed and agreed. When we all got up to go, a last question entered my mind. Energy givers often receive messages about their students.

"Did you get any messages or any information about either one of us during the session?" I asked. Once again he hesitated a little before saying, "Yes." "Well can you tell me what it was?" "No." "It was that bad?" I asked. I was amazed and taken aback. Every energy worker I had been with in the past had been eager to tell what they had seen. "Let me be clear about this," I continued. "You DID receive a message, or information about us, but you're NOT willing to share it at this time?" "You're not paying me money to do this. I'm not completely certain about what I saw. If I told you now it might influence the rest of the teachings." I saw clearly that he would divulge no more and that to continue asking would only harm our relationship. "All right," I said. "It is my wish that you both have a very good night's sleep," Krishna said. "I never sleep after something like this. I'm always awake with the energy all night," I blurted out. He simply smiled like he knew something I didn't. I slept very well.

November 2, 2006 Yesterday, the first day after receiving Deeksha, was terrible. I felt like my head was stuffed with cotton wool. I was nauseous. If I spoke I got a sharp pain in my head. I got a nasty headache while writing. Krishna had told us not to talk, to try thinking as little as possible and to walk quietly around the beautiful flower gardens. The front of my brain, or mind, felt like it had been cleared of all thought.

All the usual chatter and chaotic, disorganized ideas flying around in it were much reduced, like they'd been driven down to the floor of my mind, leaving the higher space empty. The stories I always tell myself about the past and future had become much easier to disengage from, allowing my mind to simply be still in the present. However the process wasn't complete. Stray thoughts still arose suddenly, often leading into stories. This kept occurring, no matter how much I tried to simply relax and be in the empty space. The areas around the back, sides and center of my brain still felt dark, like Deeksha hadn't penetrated there yet.

November 3, 2006 I felt like I needed another session to clear the remainder of my mind and bring the nebulous, difficult to find, golden ball into sharper focus. What I had seemed so fragile that I was afraid that I was going to lose it as time passed and my monkey mind reasserted itself. Ranchita, Krishna's other student, came to our room and very politely suggested that we would be much more comfortable staying in a hotel. She met each of my protests with another polite reason stating why we wanted to go. We didn't want to go, but we were being given the polite heave ho. Remy was very angry about it and said we were going back to Bangkok. Forget about these rude people who had gotten us here and were now kicking us out. She wasn't about to stick around any longer. She started packing. Before she'd gotten far, I heard Krishna singing outside. When I looked, he was sweeping his yard. He kept sweeping and singing the whole time Remy packed. “Let's just go find a bungalow in town somewhere. I really want the rest of these empowerments,” I ventured. “Hmmph. I want go Bangkok. These people get us here. Now want us go. We go far.”

“Let's talk to Krishna.” She agreed reluctantly and carried a bag down with her. We all sat on a bench under a tree near the car. “I'm very sorry we've been a burden on your family,” I apologized. Krishna's shoulders slumped as all the tension went out of him. Apologies can smooth over almost any situation in Asia. Mine showed that I wasn't blaming him for anything and wanted to work out our differences. “The food is the only problem,” he said. His family had been delivering three beautiful meals to our room daily, and his wife was just out of hospital. “Are you sure? Sometimes my energy is very strong and offends people.” “No. You're over there, and my house is far away. It's only the food problem.” “What if we go to the market and get some food? Remy doesn't cook much, but we could get some cans.” “Alright. When we take the kids to school mornings maybe we can buy some cooked food for you.” “What you think Rem?” She muttered something unintelligible. “I'll leave you alone.” Krishna continued sweeping and singing. Remy wouldn't agree to stay. I went over to Krishna. “We're split. She doesn't want to stay,” I told him. He walked over and sat beside her on the bench. “You should stay and get this energy,” he said. She abruptly changed her mind, flashed her beautiful smile, and agreed.

I wanted to ask Krishna for another Deeksha treatment, but I was reluctant. I felt like he had already given us so much, and I knew he was very busy taking care of his orphanage, building his new retreat center and teaching other students. Late in the morning I was sitting in a catatonic state on the swing in the open air front room of his home while he checked his e-mail. "Richard! I have an e-mail from my teacher in India about you!" he exclaimed in a tone of surprised amazement. I turned my head carefully and, with pains shooting through my brain, managed to ask slowly, "What does it say?" "It just asks how the both of you are doing and says to take good care of you. Can you imagine the immense Love that Bhagavan has for you that he would tell one of his teachers to e-mail and ask about you?" "Is this normal for two students who just completed the first beginning step?" I asked, thinking about the hundreds of students all over the world who must be learning at the same time as us. "No. It's not normal."

I reflected that nothing about my life had been normal since last March when an immense ball of white light had come crashing uninvited into my awareness in Pai, Northern Thailand. I had suddenly found myself out of my body! It was clearly visible below me. It was still sitting on the bungalow's wooden porch with my feet propped up on the railing. Ron Roth's book about the healing power of prayer was open in my lap. Everything was just as it had been moments before. Except that I was no longer in my body! I was somewhere above it looking down. Looking around myself, I discovered that I was in Emptiness.

I felt a little better. This place was familiar from my Chi Gong energy work. Moving deeper into Emptiness, I soon saw a small white light ahead that quickly grew brighter until it became a large ball just floating there. The white ball pulsed steadily, and the surface of it shimmered with waves of light energy that looked like waves on the vast Pacific Ocean. The ball was immense. Suddenly an intense beam of white light shot out of the depths of the ball straight down to my body. I clearly saw it strike the top of my head! Instantly I was back in my body! The muscles in my necks went into violent spasms as white light filled my head and moved down to flood my body. My back arched and my legs began twitching and jerking. It ended as suddenly as it had started. My body relaxed. Then the white light hit me again! I went into spasms again. Then I was allowed another rest before the light hit me the third and final time. I looked around at the warm morning sunlight coming through the bamboo grove in front of me. The dusty yard was quiet, the fish pond still. Nobody was around. The book was still open to page twenty-seven where Roth describes God as being divine white light. I became aware that something was stuck on the top of my head. It was a thick column, or cord, of white light that felt like it covered the whole top of my head and rose up into the universe. I followed it with my mind until I saw that it was connected to the ball of white light that floats in Emptiness.

As soon as my mind saw the ball, my body was flooded with white light again, but not as powerfully as before. I had wondered then what this amazing phenomenon was and if it was going to be a permanent part of me. The huge ball was still there, and I still didn't know what it was, even though I had found white light very useful for healing and many other purposes. However, it hadn't helped when, on last April fifth, Remy had lost her uterus in the worst defeat that our healing powers had ever suffered. Remy was born in the Central Philippines into the clan of healers in the WariWari tribe, an indigenous group of about three million. Her Grandma Pombai, the clan's leading Shaman, had observed that all the signs of a great healer were present at Remy's birth. Grandma Pombai had conferred all her own powers and helpful spirits on the infant and christened her Remedia, which means Remedy in English. We still didn't understand why a powerful, lifelong energy worker like Remy had been unable to heal herself of a cantaloupe sized tumor on her uterus when she had helped so many others heal themselves. Remy was still in constant pain from the surgery and suffering from self-doubt because of her inability to heal herself. On June first I had broken my elbow so badly that I would never be able to crank my pipe organ again. I had lost my busking (street performing) career and income. To pay our bills, we had sold our beautiful beach front property on lovely little San Antonio, a tropical island in the Philippines. The money was nearly finished. My daughter had divorced her Thai husband and was no longer speaking to me. Both she and my son had left Thailand, where they had grown up, to go work in America. And then there were the totally bizarre series of events that had led us here to Krishna. Nothing in our lives was normal.

Krishna kindly invited me to lunch and placed a beautiful papaya in front of me, but I could only sit stupefied and look at it with no appetite at all while the others enjoyed their fried rice. Krishna tried his best to engage me in polite conversation. I couldn't reply in anything but monosyllables. I tried to explain a little about the painful energy battle raging in my mind. "That's good. It tells me that the energy's working," he said. That was hardly the reply I had wanted. I wanted more Deeksha. Remy finished doing our laundry, and we returned to Global House. She went downstairs to the meditation room while I went up to lie down. When she came up, we ate lunch. Just as we were finishing, about two-thirty in the afternoon, we both felt an immense wave of Deeksha energy coming into the tops of our heads. She looked at me excitedly. "Do you feel that?" I nodded. "Shhhh!" The energy increased in intensity, filling my whole being until the muscles in the back of my neck began convulsing in spasms. After about ninety seconds it passed. It had certainly equaled or surpassed what Krishna had given us two days before. "Where did that come from?" I asked. "From Bhagavan. I see him downstairs. Ask him send us Deeksha," Remy replied. Her connection to Bhagavan had been much stronger than mine from the beginning. I told her the story about the e-mail Krishna had received from India.

"First he sent Krishna an e-mail asking about us, and then he sent this big shot of energy. I wonder what's going on. Why is he taking such a personal interest in us?" I asked. I started wondering exactly what Krishna had seen about us but had refused to share during Monday's session. Maybe it hadn't been bad at all. Maybe it had been something incredibly good. He had said he wasn't completely sure about it and didn't want to affect the rest of the teachings by telling us too soon. After a little more discussion, I went to lie down again. This time my mind was totally clear and filled with Deeksha. All the darkness was gone. The golden ball was easy to find. As I lay there, the Deeksha started making its way down my spine, clearing and energizing the entire column. Then it started down my face through the energy channel that runs down the front of our bodies. I automatically pressed the tip of my tongue to the three ridges on my palate behind my front teeth to make a bridge for it. It continued flowing down, spreading a warm, light sensation down the front of my body until, on my perineum between my legs where the base chakra is, it met and joined the energy flowing down my spine. I lay there with my perineum pulsing and tingling, the two rivers of energy flowing down my front and back, and the golden ball in the center of my mind sending out concentric waves of golden energy. The monkey mind with all its chaotic thoughts and stories was completely gone. I was able to simply rest in the present in a state of observation.
