THE PEPPERWHEEL DRAGON WAGON

Using This Supplement The Dragon Wagon is intended to add a little flavor to your games. Drop it into any large town or city as a way to spice up urban encounters, or have the player characters chance upon the wagon on the road. You can also use the food as a different way to deliver healing and other magic commonly associated with potions.

The Dragon Wagon The Peppermills are a family of forest gnomes famous for their spicy hot peppers. Jaxim Peppermill grew tired of growing peppers, preferring to eat them instead. His wife, Klariella, loved cooking, and frequently experimented with new dishes. Together, they decided to buy a tavern where they could create new recipes and share them. To gather the collateral and begin building a customer base, they decided to start with a wagon. They cajoled Jaxim’s uncle, Barli, into building a wagon to their somewhat bizarre specifications.

Their venture was more successful than they anticipated, and they quickly gathered the gold they needed to buy their own tavern. But by this point they enjoyed their mobile restaurant, and decided to stay with it. They changed their name to Pepperwheel, and named their wagon the Dragon Wagon.

Now Jaxim, Klariella, and their daughter Allicin, ramble through the city, stopping at a corner or square every day, and sell their incredibly spicy fare to any who dare to eat it.

The Wagon The Dragon Wagon is about five feet wide and 10 feet long. It has a domed wooden top, and a buckboard in the front. The rear of the wagon is carved into a fanciful dragon’s head, snout held high. The right side drops down, creating a window through which customers can order and receive their food. The rear of the wagon is taken up with a custom-built stove, and the chimney vents through the dragon’s snout. Onions, garlic, and various peppers hang from the ceiling. Other comestibles are stored in specially built cabinets, enchanted to keep the food cool and fresh.

Allicin’s Alchemy Allicin Pepperwheel has been experimenting with harnessing the magical properties of the peppers used in the family’s cooking. So far, she has been able to create three magical effects:  Healing Fire – A specially prepared Dragonfire kabob; each skewer heals 2d4+2 hit points of damage. 50gp per serving.

 Hearthfire – A specially prepared serving of Potato Volcano bites. Each serving keeps a person warm and toasty, as if sitting at the family hearth, for up to one hour: grants resistance to cold, as per the Potion of Resistance (DMG, p 188) 150gp per serving.

 Excuse Me! – A specially prepared serving of Butter Garlic Shrimp that causes the diner to… um… belch fire, causing 4d6 fire damage to a single target within 30’ unless the target succeeds on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, in which case they take half the damage. The effects dissipate after one hour, or after 3 belches. (as per the Potion of Fire Breathing, DMG, p 187.) 500gp per serving.
