ALS LUCIE OPERATION

SEPARATOR EFFICIENCY SUMMARY 

Cement Mill 1 is currently running at the rate of 165tph at 3080 Blaine on OPC.

Upon the complaint of product feed have coarse mixed particles, separator efficiency was planned to conduct using tromp curve.

Three sample were taken from the separator feed, separator reject and separator product fines.

Tromp curve was drawn and following results were extracted.

Circulation load is 160% and is okay.

Bypass 31 which is higher than third generation separator shows the fine product that directly goes to reject need to be control < 10%.

Reduce Imperfection is 0.38 which is close to high efficiency separator.

Separator efficiency by tromp curve was measured again after adjustment of the separator draft and reject flow. Follow results were measured.

Circulation load is 170% and is okay.

By pass 14.3 which is very close to high efficiency separator.

The new flow and separator flow , total feed , speed and reject is considered as target for OPC at that Blaine.
