DAILY CHECK DC Coil and AC Yoke 1.

SCOPE In-house daily checking procedure for DC Coil and AC Yoke shall conform to applicable standards.

3.      APPARATUS 3.1

Calibrated 4.5 Kgs/10 Lbs Dead Weight

3.2

Flux Indicator( Burmah Castrol Strip )

Magnetometer

Black Light

Black Light Hood

4.      PROCEDURE ( Coil ) 4.1 4.2

Placed flux indicator parallel to the thread helix on last threads of the box or female connection or under the last thread near the shoulder on the ID surface of pin or male connection. Check the polarity of the residual magnetic field on the tool to be checked.

4.3

Set up coil directly under the last thread areas make sure that the polarity direction of the coil is the same as the tool.

4.4

Spray the flux indicator with properly agitated fluorescent magnetic particle ink while the coil is energised.

4.5

Check the indication on the flux indicator. A good magnetization will indicate 3 lines are present on the flux indicator.

4.6

Log the findings on the approved daily log sheet.

PROCEDURE ( AC Yoke )

5.1

Placed dead weight on a flat surface.

5.2

Adjust the leg as per the inspection leg distance to used or 4” 6” apart.

5.3

Placed the AC Yoke at the centre of the dead weight.

5.4

Make sure that a maximum contact between the leg and dead weight is satisfied.

5.5

Energised and lift the AC Yoke while the dead weight is attached above the surface for ten seconds.

5.6

Log the findings on the approved daily log sheet.

REPORT The report should have the following information:
