1. ALCANCE / SCOPE 1.1. Esta especificación establece la guía para entrenamiento, calificación, examinación y certificación de personal de Pruebas No Destructivas en los métodos de Líquidos Penetrantes PT, Partículas Magnéticas MT, Radiografía RT y Ultrasonido UT. This specification establishes the guidelines for the training, qualification, examination and certification of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) personnel in the Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Radiographic Testing (RT) and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) methods.

2. DOCUMENTOS DE REFERENCIA / REFERENCE DOCUMENTS 2.1. ASNT SNT-TC-1A Edición 2016: Práctica recomendada para el Personal de Calificación y Certificación en Ensayos No Destructivos. 2.2. ASME Sección V Artículo 1, Apéndice Mandatorio III “Excepciones y requisitos para el uso de ASNT SNTTC-1A Edición 2016”. ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, 2016 Edition: Personnel Qualification and Certification in Non Destructive Testing. ASME Sec. V Article 1, Mandatory Appendix III “Exceptions And Additional Requirements For Use Of ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2016 Edition”

3. RESPONSABILIDADES / RESPONSIBILITY 3.1. EL Gerente Técnico es responsables de la certificación de personal nivel I, II o III en nombre de Grupo Técnico de Inspección (GTI). 3.2. EL Gerente Técnico podrá designar una persona ASNT NDT nivel III de una agencia externa para representar GTI y ser también la “Autoridad Certificante”. 3.3. Al desarrollar una práctica escrita como se requiere en la Sección V de ASME, el empleador deberá revisar e incluir las recomendaciones detalladas presentadas en SNT-TC-1A – 2016 y la Sección V de ASME, incluido el Apéndice Mandatorio III “Excepciones y requisitos para el uso de ASNT SNT-TC-1A Edición 2016”. No se permitirán modificaciones que reduzcan o eliminen las disposiciones básicas del programa, como capacitación, experiencia, pruebas y recertificación. Technical Manager is responsible of the certification of level I, II or level III personnel on behalf of Grupo Técnico de Inspección (GTI). Technical Manager may appoint an ASNT NDT Level III individual from an outside agency to represent GTI and also be the certifying authority. When developing a written practice as required in ASME Section V, the employer shall review and include the detailed recommendations presented in SNT-TC-1A–2016 and ASME Section V including the Mandatory Appendix III “Exceptions And Additional Requirements For Use Of ASNT SNT-TC-1A 2016 Edition”. Modifications that reduce or eliminate basic provisions of the program such as training, experience, testing, and recertification shall not be allowed.

A company or individual who provides NDT Level III services and whose qualifications to provide these services have been reviewed and approved by GTI.

5) Autoridad Certificante / Certifying Authority: La persona o personas debidamente designadas en la práctica escrita para firmar certificaciones en nombre de GTI. The person or persons properly designated in the written practice to sign certifications on behalf of GTI.

6) Unidades de / Grading Units: Un espécimen de calificación se puede dividir en secciones llamadas unidades de calificación, que no tienen que tener la misma longitud o estar espaciadas por igual. Las unidades de calificación se consideran con defectos o defectuosas, y el porcentaje de unidades de calificación defectuosas / sin defectos requeridas debe ser aprobado por el nivel III de END. A Qualification Specimen can be divided into sections called grading units, which do not have to be equal length or be equally spaced. Grading units are unflawed or flawed and the percentage of flawed/unflawed grading units required shall be approved by the NDT Level III.

6. NIVELES DE COMPETENCIA / QUALIFICATION LEVELS 6.1. Los siguientes niveles de competencias son aplicables: 6.1.1.Aprendiz 6.1.1.1.Un individuo se considera un aprendiz, mientras que en el proceso de ser entrenado, calificado y certificado en el Nivel I (o al Nivel II directamente, sin tiempo en el Nivel I). El estudiante es asignado a trabajar con el Nivel II o certificado personal III. El beneficiario no podrá realizar de forma independiente cualquier prueba, evaluar, interpretar o informar de los resultados de la prueba de NDT. The following qualification levels are applicable: Trainee An individual is considered a trainee while in the process of being trained, qualified, and certified to Level I (or to Level II directly with no time at Level I). The trainee is assigned to work with certified Level II or Level III personnel. The trainee shall not independently conduct any test, evaluate, interpret or report the results of NDT test.

6.1.2.Nivel I 6.1.2.1.Un individuo nivel I deberá tener las competencias para realizar calibraciones, ensayos no destructivos específicos y evaluaciones específicas para la aceptación o rechazo de acuerdo a instrucciones escritas o procedimiento detallado y para registrar los resultados de las pruebas. Level I A level I individual shall be qualified to perform specific calibrations, specific nondestructive tests, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection according to written instructions or detailed procedure and to record test results. The certified Level II or III shall provide to the level I the necessary instruction or supervision.

6.1.3.Nivel II 6.1.3.1.Un individuo Nivel II debe tener los conocimientos y habilidades técnicas para ser calificado para configurar y calibrar el equipo, interpretar y evaluar los resultados con respecto a los códigos, normas y especificaciones. El Nivel II tendrá conocimiento de los alcances y limitaciones de los métodos para los que calificaron y, si es designado, ejercerá la responsabilidad asignada para la formación en el puesto de trabajo y la orientación de los aprendices y personal nivel I. El Nivel II será capaz de preparar una instrucción escrita, organizar y reportar los resultados de las pruebas no destructivas. Level II A Level II individual shall be qualified to set-up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The Level II shall have knowledge of the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and, if designated, shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and Level I personnel. The Level II shall be able to prepare written instructions, organize and report the results of nondestructive tests.

6.1.4.Nivel III 6.1.4.1. Un individuo NDT Nivel III deberá ser capaz de desarrollar, calificar y aprobar procedimientos, establecer y aprobar técnicas, interpretar códigos, estándares, especificaciones y procedimientos; y designar los métodos, técnicas y procedimientos NDT particulares que serán utilizados. Level III An NDT Level III individual shall have sufficient technical knowledge and skills to develop, qualify, and approve procedures, establish and approve techniques, interpret codes, standards, specifications, and procedures; and designate the particular NDT methods, techniques, and procedures to be used. The NDT Level III shall be responsible for the NDT operations for which qualified and assigned and shall be capable of interpreting and evaluating results in terms of existing codes, standards, and specifications. The NDT Level III shall have sufficient practical background in applicable materials, fabrication, and product technology to establish techniques and to assist in establishing acceptance criteria when none are otherwise available. The NDT Level III shall have general familiarity with other appropriate NDT methods, as demonstrated by an ASNT Level III Basic examination or other means. The NDT Level III, in the methods in which certified, shall have sufficient technical knowledge and skills to be capable of training and examining NDT Level I, II and III personnel for certification in those methods.

Nota / Note: En la opción de GTI, una agencia externa puede ser contratada para proporcionar servicios de NDT Nivel III. At the option of GTI, an outside agency may be engaged to provide NDT Level III services. In such instances, the responsibility of certification (for NDT Level I and II personnel) is retained by GTI.

7. EDUCACIÓN, FORMACIÓN Y EXPERIENCIA / EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE 7.1. Requerimientos para la calificación inicial / Requirements for initial Qualification. 7.1.1. Personal considerado para la certificación en PND debe tener la educación suficiente, entrenamiento y experiencia para asegurar la calificación en los métodos en los que está siendo considerado para la certificación. La documentación de la certificación previa se utilizará como evidencia de las competencias para los niveles de certificación comparables siempre que haya sido verificada por un NDT Nivel III. 7.1.2. El entrenamiento o la experiencia documentada adquirida en puestos y actividades comparables a las de los niveles I, II o III antes de establecer la práctica escrita del empleador pueden ser consideradas para satisfacer los criterios de la sección 7.2 de este procedimiento, siempre y cuando la información haya sido verifcada por NDT nivel III. Personnel considered for certification in NDT shall have sufficient education, training and experience to ensure qualification in those NDE methods in which they are being considered for certification. Documentation of prior certification will be used as evidence of qualification for comparable levels of certification provided it has been verified by an NDE Level III.

Documented training or experience gained in positions and activities comparable to those of Levels I, II, or III prior to establishment of the employer’s written practice may be considered in satisfying the criteria of Section 7.2. of this procedure, provided the information has been verified by an NDE Level III.

Notas / Notes: 1) Para la certificación de nivel II, la experiencia consistirá en el tiempo en el Nivel I o equivalente. Si una persona está calificada directamente al nivel II, sin tiempo en el nivel I, la experiencia requerida consistirá en la suma de los tiempos requeridos por el nivel I y Nivel II y la formación requerida consistirá en la suma de las horas requeridas para el nivel I y II. 2) Para la certificación de nivel III, la experiencia requerida consistirá en la suma del tiempo requerido por el nivel I y nivel II, más el tiempo adicional requerido en 8.3, según corresponda. If a person is qualified directly to level II with no time at level I, the required experience shall consist of the sum of the times required by level I & Level II and the required training shall consist of the sum of the hours required for level I and II. For NDE level III certification, the required experience shall consist of the sum of the time required for NDE level I & level II, plus additional time required in 7.3 as applicable. The formal training shall consist of NDE Level I and Level II training including additional time required by ASME Section V, the referencing Code, Standards, Specifications, or controlling documents. Personnel with grammar school (elementary) or ungraduate high school (preparatory) will be considered for certification if they have double the training & experience required on Table 1. If an individual is currently certified in a radiographic testing technique and a full course format was used to meet the initial qualifications in that technique, the minimum additional training hours to qualify in another technique at the same level should be 24 hours (of which at least 16 hours should be equipment familiarization) and also see ASME Section V, Article 1 Mandatory Appendix II for requirements. The training outline should be as define in the employer´s written practice. If an individual is certified in a technique the minimum additional experience required to qualify for another technique at the same level may be reduced by up to 50 percent, as defined in the employer´s written practice.

7.3. Nivel III PND / NDT Level III Personal considerado para la certificación Nivel III deberán cumplir uno de los siguientes requisitos: 7.3.1. 9. EXAMINACIÓN / EXAMINATIONS 9.1. Administración y evaluación: 9.1.1. Personal NDT nivel III será responsable de la administración y la calificación de los exámenes General, Específico y Práctico para nivel I, II u otro personal nivel III. La administración y calificación de exámenes se podrá delegar a un representante calificado del NDT nivel III y tener su registro. 9.1.2. Para ser designado como representante calificado del NDT Nivel III para la administración y calificación de pruebas no destructivas Nivel I y II, la persona designada debe tener una instrucción documentada y apropiada en la administración adecuada y la calificación de los exámenes antes de realizar y calificar exámenes de personal de END. Además, una persona certificada en el Método de END aplicable como NDT Nivel II o III deberá administrar el examen práctico. 9.1.3. Para personal nivel I y II, una calificación compuesta se determinará por simple promedio de los resultados de los exámenes General, Específico y Práctico. Para el personal nivel III, una calificación compuesta se determinará por simple promedio de los resultados del Examen Básico, examen del método y el examen específico que se describe a continuación:

9.1.4. El examen administrado por el empleador para la calificación deberá resultar en una calificación compuesta aprobatoria de al menos un 80 por ciento, sin resultado de algún examen individual con una calificación de inferior al 70 por ciento. 9.1.5. Administration and Grading: An NDT level III shall be responsible for the administration and grading of the General, Specific and Practical examinations for NDT level I, II or other level III personnel. The administration and grading of examinations may be delegated to a qualified representative of the NDT level III and so recorded. A qualified representative of the employer may perform the actual administration and grading of level III basic and examinations. Approved outside agencies. To be designated as a qualified representative of the NDE Level III for the administration and grading of NDE Level I and Level II qualification examinations, the designee shall have documented, appropriate instruction in proper administration and grading of examinations prior to conducting and grading qualification examinations for NDE personnel. Additionally, practical examinations shall be administered by an individual certified in the method as Level II or III. For a level I and II personnel, a composite grade shall be determined by simple averaging of the results of the general, specific and practical examination. For level III personnel, a composite grade shall be determined by simple averaging of the results of the basic, method and specific examination described below. NDE Level I, II, and III written examinations shall be closed-book except that necessary data, such as graphs, tables, specifications, procedures, codes, etc., may be provided. Questions utilizing such reference materials should require an understanding of the information rather than merely locating the appropriate answer. Examination administered for qualification shall result in passing composite grade of at least 80 percent, with no individual examination result having a passing grade less than 70 percent. The Practical examination shall have a passing grade of at least 80 percent. When an examination is administered and graded for GTI by an outside agency & the outside agency issues grade of pass or fail only, on a certified report, then GTI will accept the pass grade of 80 percent for that particular examination. GTI Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring that the examination services of the Outside Agency are in accordance with GTI Doc N°: GTI-AC-CP-001.

9.2. Examinación de la Vista / Vision Examination 9.2.1. Agudeza visual cercana. 9.2.2. Diferenciación de contraste Color. El examen debe demostrar la capacidad de distinguir y diferenciar el contraste entre los colores o tonos de gris utilizados en el método según lo determinado por GTI. Esto se llevará a cabo sobre la certificación inicial y a intervalos de un año a partir de entonces. Vision Examination Near Vision Acuity. The examination shall ensure natural or corrected near distance acuity in at least one eye such that the applicant is capable of reading a minimum of Jaeger Number 1 or equivalent type and size letter at a distance designated on the chart but not less than 12 inches (30.5 cm) on a standard Jaeger test chart or an equivalent Ortho-Rater or similar test pattern. This shall be administered annually. Color Contrast Differentiation. The examination shall demonstrate the capability of distinguishing and differentiating contrast among colors or shades of gray used in the method as determined by GTI. This shall be conducted upon initial certification and at one-year intervals thereafter.

9.3. General (escrito - para NDT Nivel I y II) / General (Written - for NDT Level I and II) 9.3.1. El examen general debe contener los principios básicos del método aplicable. 9.3.2. The general examination shall address the basic principles of the applicable method. The NDT level III shall select or devise appropriate questions covering the applicable method to the degree required by GTI’s written practice. 9.4. Específico (escrito - para NDT Nivel I y II) / Specific (Written - for NDT Level I and II) 9.4.1. El examen específico deberá contener los equipos, procedimientos de operación y las técnicas de pruebas no destructivas que el individuo puede encontrar durante las tareas específicas en el grado requerido por la práctica escrita de GTI 9.4.2. El examen específico cubrirá también las especificaciones o códigos, y criterios de aceptación utilizados al realizar los procedimientos de END de GTI 9.4.3. 9.5. Examen práctico (Para NDT Nivel I y II) / Practical Examination (For NDT Level I and II) 9.5.1. El candidato deberá demostrar familiaridad y habilidad para operar el equipo necesario de END, registrar y analizar la información resultante en el nivel requerido. 9.5.2. Al menos una muestra con defectos deberá ser examinado y los resultados de la prueba serán analizados por el candidato. 9.5.3. Para ASME Sección V, el número de muestras para Radiografía Computarizada, Radiografía Digital, pruebas ultrasónicas mediante TOFD y Arreglo de Fases, debe establecerse en base a lo descrito en el Apéndice Mandatorio II de ASME Sección V. Otros métodos de PND requieren una muestra para cada demostración práctica y al menos dos para cada método. 9.5.4. La descripción de la muestra, el procedimiento de END, incluidos los puntos de verificación y los resultados del examen deberán ser documentados.

9.5.5. Examen práctico Nivel I. La competencia deberá ser demostrada en la realización del aplicable END en una o más muestras de ensayo aprobadas por el NDT Nivel III y en la evaluación de los resultados al grado de responsabilidad tal como se describe en la práctica escrita de GTI. Por lo menos diez (10) puntos de verificación diferentes que requieren una comprensión de las variables de las pruebas y los requisitos de procedimiento de GTI deberán ser incluidos en este examen práctico. Los resultados deberán ser registrados en un reporte de inspección de END. El candidato deberá detectar todas las discontinuidades y condiciones especificadas por el NDT Criterios adicionales de Exámenes Escritos, Específicos y Prácticos Nivel III. Para ASME Sección V, el candidato debe detectar al menos el 80% de las discontinuidades y condiciones especificadas por el Nivel III. Por lo menos diez (10) puntos de verificación diferentes que requieren una comprensión de las variables de las pruebas y los requisitos de procedimiento de GTI deberán ser incluidos en este examen práctico. Los resultados deberán ser registrados en un reporte de inspección de END. El candidato deberá detectar todas las discontinuidades y condiciones especificadas por el NDT Nivel III. 9.5.7. Criterios adicionales de Exámenes Escritos, Específicos y Prácticos 9.5.7.1. Todos los exámenes escritos de niveles I, II y III deberán ser a libro cerrado (sin acceso al material de referencia), excepto la información necesaria tales como gráficas, tablas, especificaciones, procedimientos y códigos las cuales serán suministradas con el examen. Preguntas que utilicen tal material de referencia deberán requerir una comprensión de la información, en lugar de limitarse a la localización de la respuesta apropiada. Todas las preguntas utilizadas para el exámenes nivel I y II deberán ser aprobados por el responsable nivel III. 9.5.7.2. Una credencial válida de una certificación ACCP (Programa Central de Certificación ASNT) Nivel II cumple con los requerimientos correspondientes a los exámenes General, Especifico y Practico y si existe experiencia documentada para permitir tal acreditación. No permitido para ASME. 9.5.7.3. Una credencial válida de una certificación ASNT NDT Nivel II cumple con los requerimientos correspondientes a los exámenes General, Especifico y Practico, si existe experiencia documentada para permitir tal acreditación. No permitido para ASME. 9.5.7.4. Para la Certificación Limitada de Interpretación de Películas, el examen práctico consistirá en un número suficiente de radiografías para demostrar un desempeño satisfactorio a consideración del Nivel III o suficiente experiencia documentada. The candidate shall demonstrate familiarity with and ability to operate the necessary NDT equipment, record and analyze the resultant information to the degree required. At least one flowed specimen shall be tested and results of the NDT analyzed by the candidate. For ASME Sec. V, numbers of flawed specimens for CR, DR Radiography, and TOFD, PAUT Ultrasonics shall be in accordance with Mandatory Appendix II. Other NDE methods shall require one specimen for each technique practical demonstration and at least two for each method. Level I Practical Examination. Proficiency shall be demonstrated in performing the applicable NDT technique on one or more specimens approved by the NDT Level III and in evaluating the results to the degree of responsibility as described in GTI’s written practice. At least ten (10) different checkpoints requiring an understanding of test variables and GTI’s procedural requirements shall be included in this practical examination. The candidate shall detect at least 80% of discontinuities and conditions specified by the NDE Level III and the results shall be recorded on an NDT examination report. Level II Practical Examination. Proficiency shall be demonstrated in selecting and performing the applicable NDT technique within the method and interpreting and evaluating the results on one or more test specimens approved by the NDT Level III. At least ten (10) different checkpoints requiring an understanding of test variables and GTI’s procedural requirements shall be included in this practical examination. Results shall be recorded on an NDT examination report. For Film Interpretation Limited Certification, the practical examination shall consist of a sufficient number of radiographs to demonstrate satisfactory performance to the satisfaction of the certifying Level III or sufficient documented experience. Additional Written, specific & Practical examination Criteria All level I, II and III written examinations shall be closed-book (without access to reference material) except that necessary data such as graphs, tables, specifications, procedures and codes will be provided with or in the examination. Questions utilizing such reference material shall require an understanding of the information rather than merely locating the appropriate answer. All questions used for level I & II examinations shall be approved by the responsible level III. A valid endorsement on an ACCP (ASNT Central Certification Program) level II certificate fulfills the corresponding General, Specific and Practical examination requirements & if documented experience exist to permit such. Not allowed for ASME.

9.6. EXAMENES DE NDT NIVEL III / NDT LEVEL III EXAMINATIONS 9.6.1.Examen Básico NDT (se requiere sólo una vez cuando se toma más de un examen de método). El número mínimo de pregunta que deberán ser tomadas es como sigue: 9.6.1.1. Quince (15) preguntas relacionadas con la comprensión del documento SNT-TC-1A. 9.6.1.2. Veinte (20) preguntas sobre los materiales aplicables, fabricación y tecnología del producto 9.6.1.3. Veinte (20) preguntas que son similares a las preguntas publicadas Nivel II para otros métodos de ensayos no destructivos apropiados. 9.6.1.4. Para ASME Sección V,el número mínimo de preguntas del examen básico será el necesario para cumplir con Código de referencia, los Estándares y las Especificaciones, además de los requeridos por el Apéndice Mandatorio II de ASME Sección V. 9.6.2.Examen del Método (para cada método) El número mínimo de pregunta que deberán ser tomadas es como sigue: 9.6.2.1. Treinta preguntas (30) relacionadas a los fundamentos y principios que son similares a las preguntas publicadas Nivel III por ASNT para cada método, y 9.6.2.2. Quince preguntas (15) relacionadas con la aplicación y el establecimiento de técnicas y procedimientos que son similares a las preguntas publicadas Nivel III por ASNT para cada método, y 9.6.2.3. Veinte preguntas (20) relacionadas a la capacidad para interpretar los códigos, Normas y especificaciones relativas al método empleado. 9.6.2.4. Para ASME Sección V,el número mínimo de preguntas del examen del Método será el necesario para cumplir con Código de referencia, los Estándares y las Especificaciones, además de los requeridos por el Apéndice Mandatorio II de ASME Sección V

9.6.3.Examen Específico (para cada método) El número mínimo de pregunta que deberán ser tomadas es como sigue: 9.6.3.1. Veinte preguntas (20) relacionadas a las especificaciones, equipos, técnicas y procedimientos aplicables al producto y métodos empleados del cliente (s) y para la administración de esta práctica escrita de GTI. 9.6.3.2. GTI eliminará el examen específico si el candidato tiene un certificado válido ASNT NDT nivel III o profesional ACCP nivel III en el método y si existe evidencia documentada de la experiencia, incluida la preparación de los procedimientos de END con los códigos, normas o especificaciones y en la evaluación de los resultados de las pruebas. No permitido para ASME. 9.6.3.3. The minimum number of question that shall be given is as follows: 1) Fifteen (15) questions relating to understanding the SNT-TC-1A document. 2) Twenty (20) questions relating to applicable materials, fabrication, and product technology. 3) Twenty (20) questions that are similar to published Level II questions for other appropriate NDT methods. Method Examination (for each method) 1) Thirty (30) questions relating to fundamentals and principles that are similar to the published ASNT Level III questions for each method, and 2) Fifteen (15) questions relating to application and establishment of techniques and procedures that are similar to the published ASNT Level III questions for each method, and 3) Twenty (20) questions relating to capability for interpreting codes, standards, and specifications relating to the method employed. Specific Examination for each method 1) Twenty (20) questions relating to specifications, equipment, techniques, and procedures applicable to the GTI product (s) and methods employed and to the administration of this GTI written practice. 2) GTI will delete the specific examination if the candidate has a valid ASNT NDT Level III or ACCP professional Level III certificate in the method and if documented evidence of experience exists, including the preparation of NDT procedures to codes, standards, or specification and the evaluation of test results. Not allowed for ASME. A valid endorsement on an ASNT NDT Level III or ACCP professional Level III certificate fulfills the Basic and Method examination requirements for each applicable NDT method. Not allowed for ASME.

9.7.1. Los individuos que no aprueben alguna porción de los exámenes General, Específico o Práctico deberán esperar por lo menos 30 días o recibir una formación adecuada adicional según lo determinado por el NDT nivel III antes de reexamen. Individuals failing to pass any portion of the general, specific or practical examination shall wait at least 30 days or receive additional suitable training as determined by the NDT Level III before re-examination.

10. CERTIFICATION / CERTIFICATION 10.1. GTI es responsable de la certificación de todos los niveles del personal de END. 10.2. GTI is responsible for certification of all levels of NDT personnel. Certification of NDT personnel shall be based on the requirements of this written practice. At the option of GTI, an outside agency may be engaged to provide NDT Level III services. In such instances, GTI shall retain the responsibility for certification. Records: Personnel certification records shall be maintained on file by GTI for a period of at least 10 years. Each file shall inlcude the following: Name of certified individual Level of certification and NDT method Educational background and experience Training records and statement of satisfactory completion in accordance with this written practice. Results of vision examination Current examination records or evidence of successful completion of examinations. Other suitable evidence of satisfactory qualification such as ASNT NDT Level III certificate. Not allowed for ASME. Composite grades or suitable evidence of examination grade Dates of certification and/or re-certification and the dates of assignments to NDT Certification expiration dates Signature of Technical Manager and NDT Level III.

11. EVALUACIÓN DEL DESEMPEÑO TÉCNICO / TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE EVALUATION 11.1. El personal puede ser re-examinado en cualquier momento a discreción del Gerente Técnico de GTI o sus designados y tener su certificación extendida o revocada dependiendo de los resultados. Personnel may be re-examined any time at the discretion of GTI Technical Manager or their designees and have their certification extended or revoked depending on the results. In case of revocation, it shall remain in effect until successful completion of re-examination makes the individual eligible for re-qualification. Every two years and a half, the technical performance of the NDT level I or level II will be evaluated per section 9.6 to prove evidence of continuing satisfactory technical performance.

12. SERVICIO INTERRUMPIDO / INTERRUPTED SERVICE 12.1. El personal que ha interrumpido las actividades de END, pero aún trabajan en GTI y fueron certificadas previamente por GTI deberán ser re-certificados por examen escrito si la duración de la ausencia excede seis (6) meses. Si el período de ausencia no exceda de seis (6) meses, la persona puede re-certificarse sin examen escrito. Personnel who has interrupted NDT activities, but still work at GTI and were previously certified by GTI shall be recertified by written examination if the length of absence exceeds six (6) months. If the period of absence does not exceed six (6) months the individual may be re-certified without written examination.

13. RE-CERTIFICACIÓN / RE-CERTIFICATION 13.1. Todos los niveles de personal de END se deberán de re-certificar al menos una vez cada cinco años de acuerdo con uno de los siguientes criterios: 13.1.1. Evidencia de continúo desempeño técnico satisfactorio. 13.1.2. Re-examinación de acuerdo con los requerimientos del examen en el párrafo 9 de esta Práctica Escrito en aquellas partes donde se considere necesario por el designado NDT nivel III. 13.2. La certificación será válida por un período de cinco (5) años para todos los niveles de certificación, a menos que el desempeño de un individuo sea considerado insatisfactorio. Las certificaciones expiran el último día del mes de vencimiento. All levels of NDT personnel shall be re-certified at least once every five years in accordance with one of the following criteria: 1) Evidence of continuing satisfactory technical performance. 2) Re-examination in accordance with the examination requirements on section 9 of this Written Practice in those portions deemed necessary by the designated NDT level III. Certification shall be valid for a five (5) year period for all certification levels, unless an individual’s performance is considered to be unsatisfactory.

Cuando se agregan nuevas técnicas a la práctica escrita, el personal NDT debe recibir la capacitación correspondiente, realizar los exámenes correspondientes y obtener la experiencia necesaria, de modo que cumplan con los requisitos para las nuevas técnicas antes de su próxima fecha de re-certificación.

For ASME Sec. V Personnel NDT Level I and II shall be re-certified at least once every 3; and NDT Level III shall be 5 years; certifications expire 3 or 5 years from the date of the first examination taken during initial or recertification activities for each method. Recertification shall be by re-examination. Continuing satisfactory technical performance shall not be utilized for recertification without re-examination. When new techniques are added to the written practice, NDE personnel shall receive applicable training, take applicable examinations and obtain necessary experience, such that they meet requirements for new techniques, prior to their next recertification date.

14. TERMINACIÓN / TERMINATION 14.1. Personal que termine el empleo deberán tener su certificación considerada revocada. 14.2. Personal nivel I, II o III cuya certificación ha sido revocada o terminada será ser reintegrado al último nivel NDT por un nuevo patrón basado en examinación, como se describe en la sección 9, proporcionando que todas las siguientes condiciones son cumplidas a satisfacción del nuevo empleador: 14.2.1. Personnel terminating employment shall have their certification deemed revoked. A level I, II or III whose certification has been revoked or terminated will be reinstated to the former NDT level by a new employer based on examination, as described in section 9, provided all of the following conditions are met to the new employer’s satisfaction: The employee has proof of prior certification (records). The employee was working in the capacity to which certified within 6 months of termination. The employee is being certified within 6 six months of termination. Prior to being examined for certification, employees not meeting the above requirements shall receive additional training as deemed appropriate by the NDT Level III.

14.3.

Para ASME Sección V. 14.3.1. Personal Nivel I y II debe certificarse por examinación como se especifica anteriormente. For ASME Sec. V. Level I and Level II personnel shall be recertified by examination as specified above. Level III personnel may be recertified by written Method, Specific, and Practical Examinations and the Demonstration Examination. Alternatively, Level III personnel may be recertified using only the written Method and Specific Examinations, provided the following conditions are met Level III candidate was previously certified or recertified using all the written examinations and the Demonstration Examination. Level III candidate is not being recertified due to interrupted service as defined in the written practice. Level III candidate is not being certified by a new Employer. For initial certification, the grades for the Basic, Method, Specific, Practical, and Demonstration Examinations shall be averaged to determine the overall grade. For recertification, the grades of applicable examinations shall be averaged to determine the overall grade

15. RESTABLECIMIENTO / REINSTATEMENT 15.1.
