Describing The Shape of Something Forming a sentence using the “shape” words introduced above is quite simple. The easiest structure you can use is [shape name] + -이에요. Ex) 정사각형이에요. = It’s a square. 직사각형이에요. = It’s rectangular. 원형이에요. = It’s circular. But when the word itself doesn’t have the letter -형 at the end or 모양 in itself, people often add 모양 at the end of the shape name. Ex) 십자가 모양이에요. = It’s shaped like a cross. 화살표 모양이에요. = It’s shaped like an arrow.
